    When you feel better maybe you could make a video about some hair clippers you use, fading ones, your preference and all that. This would go along perfectly after scissors one plus i'm about to buy new ones. Thanks for showing your shear collection, much needed video. Stay strong and rest!

    I tried flipping my shears for a bit. Let's just say I hit a few people in the head. 😂😂😂
    I Never cut someone, but it was humerous. So I just stick to the classic way of palming. Lol

    • @women65andover
      @women65andover Před 5 lety +3

      My point exactly. You hear him say it had a "learning curve" and I think there's more chance of hitting someone or appearing clumsy to the client if you flip. Again, what on earth is the point other than to look like you have a bag of tricks.
      Why go thru another learning curve when we've already learned the proper way to hold shears and a comb?????

      Try a Japanese Steel Shear, or scissor as they call them in Japan. Japanese steel, Hitachi or Aichi, is are much smoother than a Chinese steel shear with a Japanese name.

    I have wavy hair I use flat iron and blow dryer to make it straight but it stays straight for just 30 minutes and then it becomes wavy again can you tell me why and it's it's monsoon in the region I stay in if it has anything to do with it plz help man

    • @ThePaviliongamer
      @ThePaviliongamer Před 7 lety

      Well, high air moisture makes the hair "wet" again so the work with the flat iron and blow dryer was for nothing. All you can do is either move to a dry region or go to a hairdresser and ask them to make your hair flat, it's basically a "reverse" permanent wave, they apply the perm wave chemicals on your hair and comb it all the time instead winding rods in, but then you have to do it frequently because after a month the regrowth is wavy again^^ I hope i could help somehow , english isn't my mother tongue.^^

    Hi, I've been licensed since 1979 so my question to you and others who flip is not "how" but "why" do you guys and gals bother with this? I think it's a gimmick to trick the client into thinking you have special artistry. To me, it's a waste of time and a whole lot of flipping going on. Sorry, not trying to be critical, just at my age, I love a a great haircut but not into the gimmicks.

    Shear flipping is so silly and actually creates another step (even tho u say the opposite). Also, there is no risk in "not flipping" because a professional who uses the standard way has done so their entire career so they are comfortable with this. Flipping is the most stupid gimmick I've seen in my 40 yr career. Just another "flash" for the client.
