  • The Cormani McClain saga was nothing but red flags from the moment it started, but it took a while to realize. I and Rivals' John Garcia Jr. dive into where things we went wrong, and where McClain could end up.
    11:14 Scott Procter joins the show to talk where Colorado should turn after losing out on Cormani McClain. The Buffs have a stout secondary, but do need some depth. We also explained how previous portal moves were partially to motivate McClain, but also plan for this.
    20:33 Lastly, we dive into the transfer portal tactics that the Sanders family has been using. Shedeur and Shilo Sanders have each been reaching out to transfers in a unique way, and college football fans and analysts hate it. We break down why it's a common practice, and why it bothers some so much.

    Everywhere you go there you are. He can transfer 100000x times but if his work ethic is trash, he continues to be lazy, scared to tackle, scared to make plays, blows coverage, smokes weed and lacks discipline, doesn't go to class, disrespects teachers, prioritizes being an Instagram model posing with the uniform on over actually putting in the work then he will still get the same results. They wanted him to be Travis 2.0, but Travis not only has GOD given talent but he has GOD given work ethic. Cormani does not. That's why it didn't work out, big ego, small work ethic.

      Jayden Miller or Milner (Seen both) Jones, the kid was showing potential, and surely would have started out right his Junior year. This is why I hate playing Freshmen too early. They might have gotten in or started a few games, and think they're owed the starting position. With that said, the transfer portal has not worked out of Prime. He's filling his roster with 80% of guys who quit on their last team. The new TE from the Bearcats, he's out already. Couldn't even last 3 whole months before he was done. Prime needs to stop with this stupid a$$ 40-40-20 roster setup. Essentially rebuilding every year with quitter and bench warmers. Build your damn time from high school, use the TP fill in where you're light/add depth. Prime will learn or he will be out of Power 5 within two years.

    The new NIL money thing and portal stuff is the new way of college football. This is what Nick Saban is talking about wanting to change. This style of college football is about making money. These kids want money now. They don’t wanna work for it. They want it to be given to them. This is just the first of these kinda moves that you’ll be seeing a lot of now that the kids can put a few bucks in their pocket. It’s going to be big pressure because most of these kids come from nothing. Their families will pressure them. The coaches, their peers back home, the fans, etc. This is going to be the norm moving on or until the NCAA comes up with a better plan. Many good players will never make a mark simply because they are not disciplined enough to make the smart decision. Sometimes you gotta just be humble and listen to the people who have been there done that successfullly.

    I kinda stumbled on this channel on CZcams... but Kevin! The more you talk the more you show you know nothing about Colorado Football! Specifically with your take on the corner back situation. Yikes‼️ You really looked crazy trying to suggest Travis Hunter was injury prone⁉️ Travis got hurt/ cheap Shoted against Colorado State ...

    Let’s keep this 100%: welcome to being a college athlete in 2024.
    He’s a kid…..period. And he needs to treat this as a profession because that is what this is. That means he needs to start realizing that nobody is going to cater to him.
    McClain wanted the bright lights….that means pressure. He’s got to learn how to deal with it.
    Last thing: people are not bashing him. You are covering this sport like it’s the nfl. And if you’re going to cover it as such, this is what you get. Yeah there’s douche bags out there but a good many people, like yourself, are covering these topics the “right way”. But let’s stop treating these players like they are untouchable. These kids want the bag and light, then you get the criticisms that come with it.
    Again welcome to collegiate sports in 2024.

    I saw where cormani was missing some practices not because he smokes, or is belligerent, doesnt study, etc.
    But because he is at his baptist church, preparing to be a young deacon. Explains his service in soup kitchens, homeless shelters, things men of the bible dont publickly make known. Prime should have protected that. Huh?

    • @derrickburwell7777
      @derrickburwell7777 Před měsícem +5

      Missing practice is missing practice.
      If that's the case, then Cormani knew what was expected of him and he didn't fulfill his obligations.
      "Render unto Caesar..." He wasn't brought to Colorado by that church to be a young deacon and he walked on to the team.
      Plus, if what you're saying is true, why would he now leave Colorado to go to another state and school if his focus is on becoming a young deacon at a local church? That makes no sense!
      If that's his focus, why not just quit football all together because if he's missing practices for the church here, he's going to do the same thing wherever he lands.
      So, wouldn't it make more sense for him to quit football and focus on the church?

    • @aboutmillions
      @aboutmillions Před měsícem +1

      You can't miss practice at this level for any reason and expect to be ELITE like he was expected. At the end of the day this is a business & you can't pray to 2 gods. he should've made the main thing the main thing, whatever that was for him.

He’s a prosperity preacher on a football field. Look for the other kids to see through e bullshyt and bounce out next year.
