ACBF 2023 | WINNING HEARTS AND MINDS: CREATIVE WRITING MASTERCLASS FOR CHILDREN AUTHOR | NOMA

Noma Sodipo popularly known as Auntie Noma is the author of A Pre-school Alphabet Book & A Treasury of African Names. She has also hosted a number of Tv and Radio programs like the award winning Story time with Auntie Noma. She led a Creative Writing Masterclass for Children Authors at the 5th Akada Children Book Festival (ACBF) held on Saturday September 23, 2023.
The event featured a diverse range of activities for children of all ages. Author-led book readings, book chats, featured books, storytime sessions, and book exhibitions allowed children to meet their favorite authors and learn about new books. Writing & illustration competitions, a chess tournament, an interactive STEM exhibition, sip and paint art sessions, and an art exhibition provided opportunities for children to express their creativity, read, learn, and have fun. Insightful sessions for parents and teachers offered guidance on how to support children's literacy development, while professional workshops for writers, illustrators, and publishers provided a platform for creatives to learn and grow.
The 6th edition of The Akada Children’s Book Festival (ACBF) is scheduled to take place on Saturday, October 26, 2024. Like other editions, it promises to feature lots of fun activities for both children and adults.
