He looked at the flier and froze like a statue for a few long seconds.
"Are you sure you know where you are?" asked the student.
"Yes, of course," I answered as I passed out more fliers defending traditional marriage near Sather Gate.
But he insisted: "No. You don't understand... Do you really, really know where you are? This is Berkeley! You are at UC Berkeley! I can't believe it."
Many other students repeated the same line in utter disbelief: "Do you really know where you are right now?"
So there we were on the middle of campus with our tall TFP banner fluttering majestically in the wind, very visible to all. And just in case the banner was missed, you could hear the bagpipes echoing off the buildings loud and clear. Yes, we knew where we were and we did not intend to leave before finishing the task at hand, to promote the truth and sanctity of traditional marriage.

the bible isn't proof of anything. It's just an interpretation of what they thought he was saying also we dont know if there's a god so we cant say or use the bible or god as a fact or truth. You can believe whatever but if you want your point to be validated you need to use actual proven facts.

This is great! I have always wanted to go to Berkeley but recently I have been changing my mind because of all the ignorance there.
As prestigious Berkeley is, just ignore it and proceed on with your life if you get the chance to attend. You know you are in the right and that should be enough to make you happy

How is it harmful? Yeah they should not be yelling and calling ppl name, but harmful?
@Celeste Quinones It's harmful to them, because if it's so aggressive then people will be turned off by it and less likely to want to actually engage in any kind of constructive dialogue. And there are certain demands within it that are questionable, but I won't get into that now. When I watch these shouting matches and pissing contests it just puts me off, and I know I'm not the only one. There are people who started out neutral towards the whole issue who've actually become hostile towards it now, because of the aggression and obscenity of some activists.
