thats why u dont go france, italy or poland bro... I know what u sayin', but having lived in germany, romania and netherlands... Its not rly like that. I either got very lucky and never had to fight so far (only in school xDD) or maybe its rly not the case that people pick up fights on u for no reason... And there is a HUGE difference in culture between east and west europe..... U guys were refering to europeans as french... France is like the hoe that sucked everyone's dicks to take the big stage and is now entitled to it. Go to the eastern block and there u dont even need a hotel, mfs will just accept u in they homes, feed u, listen to your experiences as a foreigner etc. All i wanna point out is that europe is not france. And i agree that france should not talk down on America :P xD

That's so simple minded the 'how dare you be different!!!'
And an enormous amount of white people have lived with black tribes for years. It's true that often, these people would be skeptical because unlike the majority of people that do weird claims like you do, they actually havent ever seen different looking humans.
However even they easily understood in a short while what the mans intentions were and taught him about themselves, while he taught them about his self and the Dogon for example had the man stay in their reclusive tribe for over 8 years.
The problem is that you think your worldview of 'hating outsiders' is normal. Honestly bro we evolved past monkeys. It's time to start acting like it.

Then we’re treated like crap after. So on the global scale people may not care. Africans selling people is bad but irrelevant because they weren’t the ones hanging people etc at the end of the day. And we're not talking about the Jim Crow laws.
And their brothers in Africa who sold them into slavery had no hesitance whatsoever when it came to hanging them or killing them in other ways. Not everyone was sold or found worth keeping around.

This country is built on racism like a foundation.
As far as Africans go they aren’t our “brothers” because they are tribalistic. They were selling basically POWs. Remember the concept of race didn’t exist back then, they were selling enemies. Europeans in America created race as a social construct to organize a class system.

      @marbet2395 Před 3 lety +7

@@chinedumemejuru406 sadly it's true and I'm very ashamed and sorry about this thing. Things need to change. When I grew up, saying something racist was considered a very bad thing, now too many persons do it normally. I never thought to my people as racist before. I've always thought that there are only few stupid racists but that Italians were anti-racist people. I grew up with a friend of my father, an Italian guy from Senegal and we know his family, I had (and have) black friends and noone had problems before, noone ever said bad things to these persons before. In last years everything changed. I'm also a little bit ashamed because Aba has Ethiopian roots and the short colonialist era of Italy did the worst in Ethiopia. Italians never speak too much about their past in colonies maybe because we connect it with the tragedy of fascism and WW2, even though it began before in late XIX century. We miss a good historical process about this dark period of our history. Only in recent years things came out in light. But now after the economic crisis and the illegal immigration racism is become a great social and political iussue. When in 2018 4 African boys drugged, raped, killed a girl 16 years old, and tore apart her body (yesterday two of them were life sentenced to jail), a man, Luca Traini, became mad and went out in his city (Macerata) with his car shooting casually to black persons and wounded 6 persons. We are used with tragedies of mafia, camorra, and so on, but here something like this never happened before. The truth, I think, is that racism was under the skin of Italians as much as for every western society even before, but there were few black persons in Italy and they were well integrated, so noone cared. But then comes the economic crisis and the crisis of Libya with illegal immigration and racism springs out. I'm very sad and ashamed but it's true, even Italians are racist, not all Italians, but a part of them. The only thing I cannot bare is being compared with white Americans (this part of my comment is not for you, but for the idea of the video) because in our land we never treated black people as wasp Americans did before Sixties. And here we are very angry with USA and France because bombing Libya and killing Gheddafi they caused the kaos where nowadays so many African immigrants soffered so much. Americans always speak of BLM and it is ok, it's right, it's a issue of their society but they never told of their responsibilities in this area. We also as UE and as Italy have great responsibilities for how we act or not act (our agreements with Libyan militias in 2017 for example). Do you know how many African immigrants every years die in the Mediterranean sea or in the desert or are killed, abused, uesd as slaves or raped in Libya. Who bombed Libya? America +France. But no one in America says nothing about this tragedy. Evidently black lives matter only if these lives are American, as always. Sorry, I don't want to offend noone, not you for certain, and I love Americans. But I'm ashamed of my beautiful country and angry for what I heard every month about this issue. From January till now UNHCR reported that already 810 persons (on 32.000 persons arrived, 16.000 0f which in Italy), the more or the less, died in Mediterranean sea. Not speaking of this issue being one of the causes of the Libyan crisis is racism too, I think.

Bvbs Tbh it’s not as bad as it is shown in the media. I don’t think you should be afraid. Police brutality is rare. When it does happen it is more likely to blacks than it is white. Mainly due to where you live. Police congregate in “bad/poor” areas. Majority of Americans don’t live in these areas (even minorities). Of those who do it’s more likely to be minorities. It really just depends on your social class- most Americans are middle class. If you are poor you are more likely to be perceived as doing something wrong. On the other hand we treat our poor better than most countries.
America views our problems by American standards. Our problems are nothing in comparison to many countries, but we believe in the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of *happiness* therefore if we do not have those things across the board we must fight to achieve them. See the difference? We live by different standards. Everyone deserves and has the right to freedom. It’s not only our fundamental belief, but we are *entitled* to it. This may sound like snobby, but we are indoctrinated believe this from a very very young age. It’s in the constitution, in every movie, in song, books and what our country is built on. We’re taught it’s worth dying for etc. etc. So when people are treated unfairly, when the poor are homeless, when there is oppression we can not continue to sweep it under the rug. It goes against everything we’ve ever stood for as a country. We fight because some believe it will work itself out, others scream “when?” We are not a “grey” area country. There is only right and wrong. It’s either freedom or die trying. I hope that makes sense. We are nice people though, we just hold respect, honor, and freedom above all else.

I am a black, Caribbean French woman born and raised in Paris and I could not resonate more with what was said. French people point their fingers at the US as a way to feel better, ergo not shed light on the ingrained multiple form of discriminations their culture and history is based on. Many African countries continue to pay colonial tax to France, 14 West African and Central African countries are bound to CFA - a currency controlled by France - and France’s colonial legacy still lived on. To this day, France still owns several overseas territories, from former slave colonies in the Caribbean such as Martinique and Guadeloupe, and Indian Ocean to tropical islands in the remote South Pacific, where whispering about independence is almost sinful. But we don’t talk about that. As a matter of fact, talking about race in France is so taboo that it is common practice not to describe the color of our skin as black (´noir’ in French) but rather as ‘black’ in English, as a way - it would seem - to avoid sounding racist, as if ‘noir’ in and of itself was an insult...

Aba: "You people in the comment want subtitles? YOU'RE NOT GETTING SUBTITLES."
    Americans: "YOU MONSTER!!!"
When Aba described how his relationship to the French language was ruined, I felt that. After living in China for 6 years, I have long since given up trying to learn Mandarin. Why? Cause EVERY TIME I tried speaking it to a local...laughs. EVERY. TIME. I use single Mandarin words with the Chinese kids I teach English to...laughs. I've so badly wanted to scream "BITCH! I DON'T LAUGH WHEN YOU MANGLE MY LANGUAGE!! THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU!!!"
And while the racism in Europe is overt, over here in Asia it's less so, but not hidden. I'm white, so I don't get it (aside from a VERY awkward fixation by Chinese ladies), but there's a lot of Africans here, and they get paid less (blatantly) for the same job (English teacher) regardless of their proficiency. They get stares EVERY TIME they go out, whereas I just get a look because my eyes are blue. I've seen videos of black people being tossed out of restaurants for...being black, essentially.
We Americans have our issues with race, but we at least try to work on it, which I suspect is because our culture is still (historically) young. We're still shaping our identity as a society. The rest of the world's cultures cemented their views on "others" centuries or eons ago.

Coming from Romania, which is way behind other European countries like France, Germany, UK, etc, we do think that a lot of the people that live in those developed countries are dumb, and that's because they're used to living in more comfort than us.
While I was living in the UK, I noticed people would need help with anything, from changing the light-bulb to fixing their washing machine or car. So they'd just call someone. In Romania it's a bit different. People here grew up being thought to try and make-do by themselves, no matter the task. And that's the byproduct of the soviet era, and the poverty in which we were left after it was ended.
So when we go abroad, and see how comfortable and care-free people live, we tend to associate that with stupidity. Even myself when I was around 18 and just moved to the UK, I used to think the same. "Ah, those guys can't even cross the street safely" (sounds better in Romanian haha), but then I started to understand why we're so different.
If you're broke, living in the US (or any other developed country) can be as miserable as being broke in a third-world country. Maybe even worse, because the opportunities and wealth are closer to you than they are for someone living in a village in Africa.
At the end of the day, it's just a matter of perspective. Not understanding this is what actually makes us dumb. But I do agree some European countries are hella cocky. Especially the French, English and Germans.
Another problem we, as Europe, have, is that we're so proud of our history that we forget to think about the present. People say that the Roman Empire was the center of the civilised world because that's what is convenient for them as Europeans. But they tend to forget Sumer, Egypt, etc. We should just put the books down and look out the window because we live in the present and what matters is what we'll do from now on, not what we have done in the past.

I've spent the vast majority of my life in the west but I was born in Romania and my parents are from there and I think it should be said that when people in the west say "Europe" usually they just mean western Europe. Not always, but usually. To them eastern Europe is one country, one language, and one ethnicity lmao. If we want to talk about Europe we should definitely talk about the racism that Europeans are responsible for, in ALL regions of Europe of course, and we should also talk about the west/east divide and the western chauvinism the the west often displays towards people in supposed "hellhole" eastern countries that live in supposedly barren desolate wastelands that have no worthwhile culture where people apparently aren't even entitled to have their own languages and ethnicities the way western Europeans are. This isn't directed at the guys that made this video at all, it's just a general comment. I'd love to see a British/French/Italian/German person actually speak out for once on the xenophobia that immigrants from south-eastern Europe face in their countries and how they're mocked, blamed for almost everything that goes wrong in Britain, the Netherlands, Italy, Spain, etc, and how they're exploited and have their cheap labour taken advantage of (while western European countries get rich off of this) as opposed to constantly acting like they're the good, enlightened moral European countries where racism and xenophobia are practically non-existent, Bad Things are some rare anomaly that don't represent them in any way, Bad Things only happen in those Other/eastern countries because people in those other countries are inherently prone to being bad. Their ideas of their own exceptionalism are entirely deluded, especially for countries whose wealth is based on hundreds of years of mass theft of resources from their colonies. But no, we shouldn't ever speak of that, it's not at all relevant, it's not like that's the exact reason for the wealth and stability of their countries that they still benefit from to this very day. They're always asking "why are those Other countries so poor???" maybe once in a while they should ask themselves how their countries got to be so rich. Because you don't get to be that rich being from a tiny island like the U.K. without siphoning out resources from your colonies on multiple continents for centuries. To them, "civilization" basically just means "having a lot of money". Well wealth does not always equal being civilized.
