Guys. Stop saying that this looks like the Disney version and that we don't need another movie. This movie is based on the book. Jon's version was a mixture between the book and the Disney classic. It was a movie for kids. This movie is darker. No songs. No funny King Loui. The story is more serious and not "childish" like the Disney movies. Give it a try.

MMG 006 watch the behind the scenes video of Warner Bros. . I can't remember a fight between Baloo and Bagheera in one of the Disney movies. Mogli was never captured in a cage etc. .

Dude, this looks interesting to me, but let's fast forward this: most people will skip it because they saw and like the Disney version better, or they will go because they think this is a sequel to the recent Disney version. And people like yourself will call the "mass audience" dumb when this movie underperforms at the box office.
I didn't find Louie especially "funny" in Jon's version. But I'm still looking forward to this one

A lot of people here are complaining about the facial animations of the animals. If you'd watched the video, you'd have essentially heard Andy say that he made a creative decision to make the animals' faces more human-like in order to capture the emotion of the actors. Personally, I respect this creative choice, and I think it works. Hell, it worked in the Planet of the Apes movies. Have you ever noticed how human-like Caesar looks?
Even though some elements have been altered, I can't believe how much of the book is here, down to the tiniest details that I'm convinced only I noticed: Bagheera's backstory, Shere Khan's lame paw, Tabaqui tailing behind him, Messua, etc. I'm in shock. God bless you, Mr. Serkis, you joy of a human being!
Is it just me, or did you notice the Red Dogs in the trailer fighting the wolves?
I loved Tabaqui and Tom Hollander is a perfect choice to voice him

Serkis went from being a motion capture actor to a bonafide filmmaker and storyteller. You can feel his passion and I cannot wait to see this film. It feels emotionally driven and incredible.
As much as I like the Disney version, I'm down for a darker more serious version of the Jungle Book with no songs. I'm really looking forward to this.

Me too. I heard about this film as far back as when the Disney remake came out and I kept asking myself why would they make the same film. Then I wondered if maybe it was going to be based off the original story which from the looks of it seems to be the case. With a great cast here as well I think this film will be pretty darn good.

Yeah, Andy stated that he wanted the animal to show human emotion so they kinda morphed the actors face with the animals. Kinda opposite of Jungle Book, JB was going for full on animal style.

It’s great how Andy Serkis mention that king Louie won’t be in this movie because it’s a Disney invention and not base on the jungle book by rudyard Kipling. Thankfully this far closer to book than Disney version which is loosely based on the book

I wish more movies had a more dark, real and survival theme to them. Star wars as a saving private ryan style war movie would be bloody fantastic, vader’s scene in rogue one was the closest we have got so far. This mowgli movie looks great
I love Andy Serkis hes one of my favorite actors of all time. He is the most underated actor today. He was amazing as Claw, Ceasar, Snoke and of course as Gollum. Love the guy to bits couldnt fault him even if I tried. Its a shame that Disney JUST bought out their perfect version of Jungle Book already. :(

Alright! The Legendary Andy Serkis! I absolutely loved his telling of the Mowgli story. Well done, great casting and direction.
Andy's groundbreaking performance as Gollum revealed a multi-talented, unique artist. I will watch this movie because of him, his passion is contagious.
This is going to be a box office flop that is an utter masterpiece and remembered for generations.

Umm the jungle book release by Disney was a success in the box office. So i think this one will also perform well in the box office.

The problem is not a lot of people know about blade runner. That is why it fails at the box office. But jungle book is a well known adaption.
I thought Blade Runner was fairly famous? Maybe only in certain circles then...

The casting choices are better in this one compare to Jungle Book 2016.
I didn't like the voices of Kaa and Baloo. Shere Khan's voice by Idris Elba sounds good, but I think Cumberbatch's voice will be better, if you've heard his voice of Smaug

Aakash Siddhartha Well he is the legendary Andy Serkis known for his genius in playing motion capture roles- Gollum from "Lord of the Rings" and the Hobbit, Cesar from "Planet of the Apes" and King Kong. Ullysses Klaue in Black Panther is one of his smaller roles(which he played brilliantly as usual).

Just started watching, and I'm already in. I've been a fan of Andy since I was eight, when I first watched the "making of Gollum" documentary. I've been waiting for his Oscar for years. I'll never get over the guy's passion for what he does.

Tre Drago, "Breathe" is from 2017 actually. This movie WOULD have been his first film if it weren't for Disney deciding to make their version. Serkis started making this movie before DIsney started making theirs, which provoked Warner Bros into delaying the release.
