If you are experiencing these symptoms you need to seek help from a professional. Go see your doctor and get an accurate diagnosis to figure out a good treatment plan for you. Remember depression and anxiety are real medical conditions and should be treated just as diabetes or high blood pressure need to be treated. hi everyone ,if anyone else wants to uncover dealing with depression and anxiety try Tarbally Destroy Depression Tactics (just google it ) ? Ive heard some pretty good things about it and my buddy got great success with it.
Psychedelics are just an exceptional mental health breakthrough. It's quite fascinating how effective they are against depression and anxiety. Saved my life.
Can you help with the reliable source I would really appreciate it. Many people talk about mushrooms and psychedelics but nobody talks about where to get them. Very hard to get a reliable source here in Australia. Really need!
YES very sure of bergwilly11__. I have the same experience with anxiety, depression, PTSD and addiction and Mushrooms definitely made a huge huge difference to why am clean today.
I wish they were readily available in my place.
Microdosing was my next plan of care for my husband. He is 59 & has so many mental health issues plus probable CTE & a TBI that left him in a coma 8 days. It's too late now I had to get a TPO as he's 6'6 300+ pound homicidal maniac.
He's constantly talking about killing someone.
He's violent. Anyone reading this Familiar w/ BPD know if it is common for an obsession with violence.

The Trips I've been having really helped me a lot , I finally feel in control of my emotions and my future and things that used to be mundane to me now seem incredible and full of nuance on top of that I'm way less driven by my ego and I have alot more empathy as well
Oh yeah , I know him , am happy to see *Dr.healingstrain* mentioned . He's such a genius mycologist .
Thank you over and over and again! I am greatly appreciative to know there are ‘other choices’! I am so tired of never getting any better but didn’t know there are options! Yo are great!

Excellent, informative video! Thank you!
These videos are all so helpful! I'm a New Zealander so it's a little surprising to see the cost of these things (I pay a minor admin fee, around $5 NZD for about 3 months of meds no matter what the anti-depressent is and even that can be refunded).
I've had such trouble with meds that I'm wanting to learn more about them myself so these videos are perfect.
Fellow kiwi here, yes we are lucky we pay virtually nothing for meds here! Just the side effects are a real c@nt!
I wonder how much a liter of petrol is there? How much is a pack of cigarettes? How much does it cost to register your vehicle? Do you have a fee for driving more than a certain amount of kilometers a year? Socialised medicine is paid for in so many sneaky ways!
I pay 2.78 usd for 3.8 liters of petrol. It cost me 68.00 usd to register my vehicle for a year. I can drive unlimited amounts of miles with zero fees for my mileage. A pack of cigarettes can be had for 1.62 usd. AND… I pay 15% of my income in income taxes. I think New Zealanders pay WAY more in income taxes. In my State, and many States in the US, there are zero taxes on groceries. Think really hard about whether your medications are actually cheaper than what we pay in the US.

@Dragnet 1967 THIS WAS/IS a huge help! I walked 10 minutes for three days straight and noticed a difference; I got up in the morning much quicker than before! Thank you so much for reminding me of how much difference a walk can make!!
Yes, they say to walk and be outside when things are green. That's suppose to help with depression. I'm inside to much.
@@iamabideinitastjohn1567I have to start doing that. I know it helps. I'm in the house way to much. I'm getting a minipoodle in 2 or 3 weeks. So I will try to get outside and walk with him.
Thanks Dr. Erik, would you be able to advise which is the best or safest option if you’re pregnant?
I can confirm that this doctor knows what he is talking about! I’ve taken all these and he is 100 percent dead on. Wellbutrin gave me panic attacks and Zoloft is what I’m on now. It’s ok. Leda pro is the only one I haven’t tried and would like to. Thank you!

THANK YOU for Using the BRAND name because it’s easier to remember (for non professionals). We have heard those names before and we know our insurance will give us the generic regardless. What do you think of the new kid on the block: Trintillix? I’d Love a list for anxiety meds too. And why Buspar would be indicated and preferred for some folks.
I took Trintillix for about 2 months and it made me very angry. I beat up a long time friend until he was unconscious and with a broken nose... I'm known for being a kind guy who wouldn't hurt a fly so this medication pretty much almost ruined my life. Escitalopram works really great for me but gives me sexual side effects :/ I really wish it didn't cause that was the one I was on before Trintillix and it worked very well but the sexual side effects were impacting my relationship with my girlfriend. It's not fun being aroused only a couple days a week when normally I would be aroused pretty much every day once or twice at least.
In my experience Trintellix didn't really help in my anxiety. So much insomnia and fatigue associated, I had to stop.
My doctor took me off venlafaxine that I have been on for 18 years which I was good with and put me on Wellbutrin and I’ve been a disaster since about the first week. Coming off one and starting another, cancels out the first couple weeks as for me it’s hard to tell what’s what. But I have literally cried every day and feel terribly hopeless. Yes it makes me feel more alert but the sadness is intolerable. I’ve had Really really bad anxiety to the point I’m trembling or shaking. So I’m hoping the new doctor I’ve been assigned to will rework this to a better outcome. Thank you so much for your videos are very helpful
Dang I hope u find your help u need. My doc just put me on venlafaxine but I’m not sure if I even wanna take it because of the side effects and withdraws
This has happened to me. I was prescribed a different ssr prozac.I couldn't walk or talk barely function I stared at the wall every day for hours, called the doctor, and they told me stop taking it immediately really you said not to do that! The only one that has worked for me is Venlafaxazine. And buspirone hcl together that was the magic for my brain chemistry
Great video! Thanks!

@@princessbabe1313 please don't listen to any online trolls. You're right, your doc knows better :)
@@soulfulspec not necessarily. A matter of fact, a lot of them are very incompetent with these drugs. The tapering guidelines are outdated and it can be very dangerous, especially when withdrawing from these drugs safely. I learned from experience and went through permanent damage and hell because of doctors incompetence with these drugs. People put too much trust in doctors. Be your own doctor and do your own research when it comes to these drugs. Joining a support group on Facebook has helped me. Btw, Effexor XR is what destroyed my life. Cymbalta destroyed my cousins life and she died from seizures from withdrawal. She quit cold turkey because of the stupid doctor. The drug was making her suicidal after a dose increase. Be careful and good luck.
@@princessbabe1313 I did not see skovies comments because I guess he deleted them? But a lot of people know from experience. He maybe was trying to help you? Anyways, you can take my advice or leave it. But the least helpful thing when taking these drugs were dealing with the incompetent psychiatrists and doctors. But I learned how to taper safely and slowly off Cymbalta and Effexor, no thanks to my doctors. I had to do it myself slowly while they still thought I was taking the prescribed dose. Unfortunately I got permanent brain damage and see a neurologist from their too fast tapering because I been on the drug too long, and at a high dose. They do not always know best, unfortunately. Sometimes you have to be your own doctor. Not saying to not work with your doctor but it helps to be your own advocate, especially with these drugs. Take care.

I have treatment resistant depression. I never felt suicidal until i took antidepressants. After 8 years i stopped. I have felt better ever since.
Well, I’m a registered nurse at 38 years and doctors don’t psychotropics like their candy and yes they can have bad effects unless you absolutely need one you shouldn’t take it and I think your case is proof of that.
How about Vortioxetine (Brintellix)?

Very good video!
The only aspect I don't agree on is that Sertraline has more impact on Libido than Escitalopram, because in every single Metastudy Sertraline and Fluoxetine have a lower proportion of people who got SSRI induced sexual side effects than Paroxetine, Escitalopram and Citalopram. Thus, I would rather suggest to take Sertraline than Escitalopram unless the patient has a severe generalized anxiety disorder.
I agree with you. The escitalopram at low dose gave me the worst sexual dysfunction among the 5 antidepressants I've tried. Very disturbing, and one major reason why I stopped taking it. Now I'm on sertraline, and the effect on sex is not too bad. Works very well on anxiety.

What do you think about taking Wellbutrin in the morning and a low dose of Mirtazapine in the evening, if you suffer from both, fatigue and low motivation, but also sleep disorders?
@Natalie Hey, what kind of meds are you on right now if I may ask?
Anyway, to my experience with these meds: I started taking 150mg Bupropion XL in January 2021, the first days I slept very little, like 1-3 hours a day.
But at this point it didn't bother me because I still felt a lot more energetic then usually (was already awake before the alarm rings and could easily get up then, which is very unusual for me), also I became very tired in the evening of course, which made it easier to go to bed early.
At this time I also was more sensitive to caffeine, but that and the poor sleep faded within the first weeks. Though it took me still longer to fall asleep then before bupropion.
The first time I noticed a significant improvement of my wellbeing was after a bit less then 2 weeks, from that point on everything felt "easier", I became more communicative and felt way more energetic and generally didn't worry about unnecessary stuff all the time.
The energy and also the increased trouble falling asleep slowly faded over the year, but not entirerly. I still had to take powernaps several times a day even in the beginning though, but don't know exactly what the cause for that is, probably a burnout-like condition due to cronic stress, but the mood lift stayed all the time! So it did a great job in preventing me from spiraling into negativity and greatly improved my emotional dysregulation, which I always have struggled with.
I also have mirtazapine, but decided not to take it daily because I've often read that it's BRUTAL to get off of it...
So I take about 3.75mg about once a week and can say it definitely is intense. Even this small dose (1/4 pill) makes me feel really tired and dizzy and it's very easy to fall asleep on it.
It also raises the appetite drastically though and even the next day I tend to eat more and still feel a bit dizzy (+ I sleep longer and have trouble to get out of bed).
Generally with mirtazapine I would carefully consider taking it when you have low energy because I would say its sedating effect outweighs the energizing effect of the bupropion, making you even more sluggish all in all. A higher dose (30mg+) makes you paradoxically more energized instead of tired, but then it doesn't help well for sleeping obviously.
Another thing: From what I've read (only comments as source, take it with a grain of salt) bupropion seems to work a bit different for people with ADHD.
Do you also have ADHD? For me it's the case that I found out having it last year and heavily underestimated the impact (like 80% of untreated patients have depression/ anxiety and sleeping issues!), being probably one of the root causes for my issues.
Especially women are severely underdiagnosed because the symptoms aren't that obvious and then get the wrong treatment or are even not taken seriously by some docs, saying it's "only anxiety" or something and prescribe them wrong medication like SSRIs.
Only a tip to do some research if you can identify with some symptoms, if not, sorry to bother you with this unnecessary information.
Some patients write that starting bupropion made their anxiety worse or that they are more irritable in the beginning,
but for me it was exactly the opposite.
But the downside for me (seems to be rare) is that my ambition to be productive and start comlicated tasks suffered, because I didn't "care enough" anymore, maybe because last minute pressure was a big motivator for me. Probably the med took away my anxiety and the pressure to get the work done. But like I said, that seems to be not very common, others reported the opposite effect.
All in all bupropion really helped me improving my wellbeing and I can definitely recommend it.
Important to know is that I always have stayed on the initial dose of 150mg, so I don't know how 300 or 450mg would have affected me, maybe it could have worked way better with energy etc.
As a sleeping aid melatonin works really well for me, as far as I know you can also take it daily without becoming dependent on it.
I hope that I could help you with this information and wish you good luck tomorrow,
if you have further questions feel free to ask :)
I take Amitriptyline 25 in the morning and Mirtazapine 7.5 at night. Good
I've tried all these and cymbalta was the one that helped me x100.
Hello, just saw your comment. I am on Lexapro and switching to Cymbalta. Does it make you tired ? Or has it caused weight gain ? I’m always scared when it comes time to switch things up.

Hi, i need some advice. I recently completed a 21 day inpatient rehab for alcholism and benzo addiction. They cut me off cold turkey and when i was released was a nervous wreck. Eventually my anxiety started to subside but was hit with major depression. I went to a local dr who precribed me wellbutrin during the am and lexapro during the pm. Ive only been on them for 2 weeks so i havent really felt much except some rebound anxiety during the day (maybe the welbutrin?) On top of this, i releaped twice since then on wine and was told this could increase my chance of a seizure. Another doc i spoke with said that i should stay on both if i can remain sober since theyre both low dose (wellbutrin 150xl, ledxapro 10mg). Complicating things, im still titrating down on valium to complete my benzo taper, im down to about 10mg a day.
Wow, that’s a complex issue for sure. I can’t give any specific advice for you unfortunately. Definitely a good discussion to have with your doctor. Some general information that can help though, Wellbutrin can make anxiety a little worse in some. It also can lower your seizure threshold. In your case with coming off of alcohol and seizures due to that I don’t have much experience to say the effect that Wellbutrin can have. That being said Wellbutrin can help some with addiction issues so there is possibly some benefit there. You may benefit from seeing somebody who specializes in addictions. Good luck and keep working hard on your sobriety. It will be worth it!
Oh my god i suffered seisures .

Pristiq is pretty much the same thing as Effexor XR/VENLAFAXINE. Which tapering too fast gave me permanent brain damage and chronic pain. I am now on ssi and see a neurologist. Be careful with these horrible drugs. Missing even a single dose can cause horrible symptoms. If you want to, you can join a support group on facebook. I was on Effexor (Venlafaxine should be illegal) good luck.

What dosage of vistaril are you on? It seems to not help me much.
@@tolamedina5695 I have stopped taking it
whats the difference between Apathy and Anhedonia? why isnt Anhedonia separated from depression?
As someone who lives in the uk where doctors are the ones choosing the meds for you it will always amuse me that Americans can suggest meds and even ask for a particular one to their doctors
Lexepro changed my life a couple of years ago. I had energy, interest in hobbies, happy, and hopeful. I was back engaged with family and built relationships. I had extreme decreased libido, but im single. It stopped working a few months ago and it’s horrible. Im on zoloft now post 10 days and im still depressed and tired and not motivated
How is the Zoloft working for you now? I’m starting my third week on Zoloft 50mg. I’m barely starting to feel the effects. However I’m still on a roller coaster but it’s better than being completely down. Hopefully it’s getting better for you.
Zoloft was the only med that helped me have a great mood and personality. Which also helped me attract and maintain a relationship. I'm usually single because of my bad attitude. But the lack of sex drive and intimacy ruined my great relationships.
I was on lexapro for years but it stopped working so now I’m switching to Zoloft but I was hoping it would be the same because lexapro really helped me
All of these medications takes time to work. If I'm having a panic attack I need help immediately not in a week when maybe the meds start working or maybe not... I have tried all of these medications and they all sucked unfortunately 👎🏻 It needs to effectively work on those gaba receptors to help anxiety but I see now that this video is for depression which I have also been diagnosed with and none of these worked obviously idk I give up
Hi doc any medicine for shy bladder
What about Paxil/paroxetine? It’s the most effective for both depression and all types of the anxiety Disorders!
Hi I started using st join worts like 5 days ago for mild depression but my doctor prescribed me Zoloft is it safe to stop using the see John's and start the Zoloft
Stopping St John's and starting the Zoloft shouldn't be a problem as long as you are doing it under the care of your doctor. You just don't want to take both as there are similar properties that could increase your risk of interactcions.

Please help..I'm a hermit from Malaysia. I feel so terrible and no mood for next minutes some time.I can get hold of Natrol stress and anxiety pills....is it any good?
Tell your doctor you need Valium for anxiety and Wellbutrin to boost mood. Do you have doctor you can go to? Please give me update
1st one works for me.
How do u feel
What about Zoloft and weight gain?
I took escitalopram for years but it didn't have any noticeable effect. Now I started taking duloxetine and after only 4 days I'm already feeling much better. Really makes one see that there are big differences on how these types of drugs work for different people.
Why would you continue taking it for years if it had no effect?
@@worfsonofmogh323 My doctors recommended that I stay on it. I was young and didn't know any better. Also, I was afraid of things getting worse if I stopped taking it. In hindsight it would have been much better to stop taking it and try another drug.
@@7Nebulae7 Understandable. I'm glad you're feeling better now

Hello there i have done a thumbs up four this video also.
Before taking this medication, tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are allergic to buprenorphine or naloxone; or if you have any other allergies. This product may contain inactive ingredients, which can cause allergic reactions or other problems. Talk to your pharmacist for more details.
He’s a DO and that alone makes him head and shoulders above. Perhaps I’m biased. I was born in Kirksville while my dad was in medical school. 🥰
..thanks a lot!
I need help sir I'm telugu
thanks a lot. but does this channel belong to the doctor?
I'm on Venlafaxine, but I thought I'd mention that I did have seizures on Wellbutrin.
Wellbutrin is quite a drug, helped me a lot years ago but I've seen bad reactions. It being an NDRI, it is essentially a long acting stimulant. Girlfriend was on it for a while while she already has severe anxiety and it was awful
Have you tried Tianeptine? 12.5 mg three times per day? Best thing I ever ran into, but you have to get it overseas... Known as Stablon.
@@beebers99is it benzo medicine ?
Wellbutrin was awful for me too much anxiety!
My doctor took me off zolft cold turkey 100mg I'm afraid to try another drug.
Hi, I am currently on zoloft 50mg a day. Was diagnosed with major depressive disorder and anxiety. Would you say the lexapro is way more effective for anxiety than the zoloft? Because I feel my anxiety is worst than my depression. If this makes sense. Thank you.
I found zoloft to be way better
Paxil marks all the check boxes but has prob the most side effects starting out over the others, it works really well.
@@reality150tv my dr recommended me paxil 20 mg but i am afraid to side effects 😔
@@AyeshaKhan-ll7mw I had slight light headedness for the first few days and slight nausea but wasnt that bad. I know it is recommended at morning but i take it in afternoon around 5 oclock after i get home from work, I didnt want it effecting me for work. By the 5 th day i could sleep through the night without waking up having racing crazy thoughts, that was the hardest time for me is middle of the night. I would wake up nothing but bad negative thoughts every night and couldnt go back to sleep, could not stop thinking about bad stuff, after 5th night on paxil that all stopped. I was always someone that worried about everything even during the day, but night was bad for me because i would get more depressed in middle of night.
If not paxil i hope u find something that works for you. I wouldnt not take it because of the side effects, they go away after a short time, but only u can make the call on whats right for u.
