Scenarios are not the same, peter obi did not found fidelity bank, fidelity is a public traded corporation, meaning anyone can go to nigerian or British stock exchange to buy share of fidelity then. Peter obi having the most individual share by any individual so they made him chairman, that share was only 10% or less. Since he didn't have more then 50% share hes influence on boards is only wen he was working at the bank, immediately he lives he can no longer control the board bcos he doesn't have the voting power to appoint majority of the board. Even wen he did become governor he diversified meaning he lessen his shares of fidelity. While the minister was the founder of this non traded company ie the shareholders r likely less than 5ppl as so minister most likely have more than 50% shares of the company. According to his evidence wen he was elected house rep he signed csc docs to remove himself as directors that should be the authority of the board of directors but since he was able to do it by himself it speaks to his share of that company. It is very very significant.

This is not an excuse. The wife runs the company and they are one. He is lying, does he think Nigerians are illiterates . He just want to try to cover himself. If your wife bidded for a job, does he want to say he has no clue of what was going on. So he doesn't know what the company he opened was doing. Dubious Nigerian citizens will continually be disgraced with social media. They should now know that whatever they do in secret someone is there to expose them.

This minister has proven to be a true patriot from the progress made by his ministry so far. This simply tells us he's a competent technocrat that would most likely have set up a reputable company over the years. He duly resigned as required by law, and perhaps the affiliated company was the most competent to win the bid for the contract. I must confess this is a stain on him to consider going forward. However, what Nigerians deserve at this point is result driven projects and renewed hope that will turn around the fortunes of the citizens. Let's just think about it, why should the wealthiest man in Nigeria (Dangote), always be involved in the largest projects in every successive govt? If he's the man that can deliver the refinery that successive govts & and the private sector could not build or reinstate in 60 yrs, then so be it. The minister has learnt a lesson here, and hope we can all agree that nobody is perfect.
