I went to public school in high school because I felt it was the "cool" thing to do, but please, send your kids to private school, or homeschool them, just be sure to keep your kids socializing, and remember that bullying can very well happen in homeschool organizations as well, and to do something about it if your kids experience it

True, my mom cared about me for what happened at public school(s). I'm so glad she believes me, because the teachers and principals lies to her. I always tell her what happened every day. The teachers' lies didn't add up, so I'm glad she believed me. School was so horrible that i never felt embarrassed when she comes to my classes for a day and see whats going on

As the advisor of the high school newspaper, I was suspended without pay for over 200 teaching days because of a dispute with the principal and the school board covering up illegal practices. Took 6 years of litigation that reached to the federal courts. P.S. I won but never returned to teaching.

I homeschool my children.... Because i know it would be a constant battle dealing with the school. They used to go to private school until they kept raising tuition making it truly unaffordable. I wish I could have the tax share for my kids that goes to public school to buy supplies and such to teach them true education...🤷🏽

I had a similar interaction when my daughter's high school class was made to watch Jurassic Park as part of their biology class, THREE DAYS IN A ROW, while the instructor was on her phone arguing with her bf. They didn't enjoy me coming to the meetings.
I'd rather the land before time....why Jurassic park. Might have well shown some discovery channel or national geographic documentary on dinosaurs. have them use the class period to research dinosaurs and take a fun online quiz. So much other things the teacher could have done.

I love the Jurassic Park franchise of films, but it didn’t take me long as an enthusiastic child in the 90’s to read a couple books and realize 1. Velociraptor weighed about 30lbs, and 2. The Tyrannosaurus had binocular vision, an adaptation which allowed for incredible 3 dimensional sight to better distinguish motionless prey from its surroundings. It is also believed it could probably see clearly at a distance of up to 6km.
Unless your children were watching this film to better understand plot progression and character arch in an English class, this had no business being a part of their day.

Former teacher here in the public school system. All the good teachers get kicked out. They pressure you and if no other way to make up some excuse to get rid of you. I’ve seen it happen to many good teachers.

My son had to wait for a few minutes by himself before joining the rest of the class because he wanted to breath. He lowered his mask and was punish for it. And he also did online school and the teacher had her son on her side wearing full face of makeup to teach about a paper that the kids needed to write about a robot. One more thing that happened to my son was that the kids were touching his face so he can put his mask up his nose because he sometimes can't breathe and the kids tell him to put the mask all the way up to cover his nose. He has asthma and when he runs outside during recess and has to wear the mask again inside is hard for him to breathe. It's so sad how little kids have to live in fear

I spent years raising hell and "fighting city hall" in my hometown of San Bernardino, CA. The contempt that they showed for this guy is standard in city and county councils across the land.

‼️One of the things that makes me HAPPY is that my two oldest children are in college and my baby is going into 10th grade. Another is that they all went/or are still attending school in the same school district in TEXAS! Thank God Almighty that the teachers in our school district are VERY RATIONAL people who DO NOT have an agenda! My two oldest are attending large universities, both in Texas! Another cool thing is that my youngest already knows where he wants to attend college and it’s in TEXAS too! There are so many people in our town, ESPECIALLY TEACHERS, live and work under an impenetrable bubble which leaves out all the GARBAGE being spewed by the RADICAL, OUT OF CONTROL, LEFT!

It's not enough to stand in front of the school board and yell at them. People like this man need to RUN FOR SCHOOL BOARD. Be the change you want to see in the world, get out there and run for the position! If you don't have time to make this happen, then you can't say you care as much as you claim to.

Virginia is a right to work state. The teachers “union” in the Commonwealth is essentially powerless. School boards and administrators have the power of deciding curriculum. Teachers in VA who stand up to this kind of BS, can actually find their jobs in peril. Ask me how I know
School boards and even state boards have almost entirely vacated any sense of accountability to actually maintaining the curriculum and standards in K-12 education. These people are literally just sitting on these boards, approving whatever their superintendents and Teacher's Unions request and collecting a paycheck.
