- Seeking an under-the-radar, stretch-the-field weapon whose best days of football might still be ahead of him, the New York Giants rolled the dice and selected Penn State tight end Theo Johnson.
A top 100 prospect out of high school, Johnson carved out a role in a crowded, talented Nittany Lions tight end room, concluding his time in Happy Valley with 77 receptions for 938 yards and 12 touchdowns. With the pick, Johnson becomes the fourth Penn State tight end selected in the NFL Draft since 2018.

Penn State had a lot of talent on the field last year. A shame they lose those 3 games.
Love that you guys are doing these segments for the guys. Good on ya. Watched them all so far. We Are!!!
We appreciate it, Kris. Yeah, this is our 3rd year doing them. Obviously they tend to attract the fans of the actual nfl teams, but we appreciate our core psu audience watching them too.
Thank you for this!
Lottery ticket that might pay off 2 or 3 years from now...Daniel Jones is like, "I ain't got time for that!" lol
Bunch of guys here are very happy with this pick. I wasn't favoring any particular player here, but this filled a huge need with Waller diddling around and Bellinger having regressed. This guy is a willing and good blocker who can get open vs. linebackers and is a tough matchup with safeties. I give the pick a grade B+, the plus just on his potential to be dominant.
I don't know if Bellinger regressed. It might have been the Giants focussing on their new toy Waller over him.
Thought he'd go somewhere else, honestly...
