Hi Joe, good one but I thought it would be one of the Nissan diesel jobs we had from way back. I'm not a fan of EV's in general I think it's a bit of an expensive con especially the pcp '' deals '' here in the UK, I've had cheaper mortgages, but that taxi was a lot quieter than quite a few EV's I've heard. My view on EV's in general, ok for use in town, if you must have one a plug-in would seem to be the way to go for me, electric for town use, keeping the air clean, out of town good old ICE car takes away range anxiety. A motoring journo on you tube did a test and he found that taking into account the ''current'' road side charging cost of recharging an EV, if you bought an ICE car capable of around 40mpg, not too difficult these days, the difference in running cost would be negligible, I agree servicing ICE cars and battery cost and disposal as well as initial cost of an EV all need to be discussed but non the less I thing Hydrogen needs to be explored in greater detail. I can't help feeling car makers are taking us for a bit of a ride in the name of '' saving the planet '' I'm sorry I'm not as green as I am cabbage looking, sorry, old English saying meaning I may look a fool but I'm not. How you may ask? Because Volvo and LEVC are owned by Geely.
