Amazingly articulate, all of the people. And I've just realized the Great Soprendo is among them!

I've been to two Quaker Meetings now in my local area, and I feel like there's so much about Quakers I don't know, but I'm so fascinated. I just wanted to say thank you so much for these videos. They are helping me so much :)

Most friends try to avoid labels, they are usually divisive. Each of us is an individual with our own insights and beliefs.

Struggling to understand why a Quaker would not wish to be called a Christian.
Christ is God and if one does not believe this then one is not a Christian but if one believes that Jesus is who He says He is then one is Christian.
There is absolutely no tension at all between being Spirit-filled and owning Christ as Saviour & God.

Rob Chorley Because most friends try to avoid labels, they are usually divisive. Each of us is an individual with our own insights and beliefs. You can follow the bible, Buddhist way; be a theist or a non-theist and identify quaker.

God usually means creator of the universe. But that implies the creator of evil, as well as good, which is inconsistent with the main message of Jesus. Of course, this interpretation rejects original sin doctrine.

@@johnstewart7025 perhaps a following viewing point would be of interest: picture the heat & the cold ... is there such a 'thing' as cold? isn't it just the lack or absence of the heat? ... or think about the light & darkness ... isn't the darkness just absence of the light? if you shine light into darkness ... it disappears! if you give heat wherever is coldness, it is no more - it's warm! or at least warmer ... so, the same with the evil .... evil is the lack, absence of selfless love ... agape ... and the only way to overcome the evil is to give selfless love to it ... to treat it in agape love way ..... this 'theory' is apparently scribed to Albert Einstein

David Rogers, I can't reply directly to your post, but... please PLEASE don't equate all U.S. Friends with one group.

Amazing; I watch it jiggling and I get hypnotized! And I thought that only lower middle class/working class religious groups had fat members; this man must be a Convinced Friend, probably a former Baptist or Pentecostal or Methodist-you know, one of those non-quite "Progressive" groups.

only thing I find distracting are infantile remarks.
