@@B1gLupu Serral goes to military? Is it mandated in his country or just something he wants to do? just odd hearing someone talk about non-koreans casually going off to the military.
@@mazystarr first of all, Finland is nothing like S-Korea. Its only 6/9/12 months, and since he is in the sports-unit, he gets to practice still. Less ladder, maybe misses one smaller tournament, but thats it.
However, just like S-Korea, we Finns have a psychotic dictator for a neighbour, so we do need to tread kinda lightly.

Gotta love that the best player in the entire scene is also the biggest drama queen when it comes to getting behind in game. The number of times I've heard him say on stream "oh my god, this game is so over" and "I'm playing SO bad," only for the game not to be over (and he probably goes on to win)... I've lost track but it's a lot. Lol. GG great cast!
Serral holds himself to a extreme standard probably. When he was saying he lost I think he generally means he's lost if maxpax plays correctly going forward.

so why in a gamer's case would one degrade solely from an actual winning mentality? i emphasize solely because i am aware reaction speeds and finger dexterity get slower with age, both of which are only physical limitations
@@at5598i would argue that the highest rated chess grandmaster Magnus Carlsen was also strictly mentored by Kasparov who is Russian and probably oozes this no-bs brutality style of tutelage, and probably instilled the same sort of standards in Carlsen himself. I'd argue it's a big part of why top players stay at the top and why the chaff of the crop are the more self-forgiving type
It's a shame that his royal obligations prevent him from taking part in the major tournaments.

Saw 2024 GSL Code S round 16 group game between Stats and Dark, and I think these two also are good candidates for the best.
I've heard Maxpax has an issue where he stops making expansion bases after 4-5 bases. I've heard a few pro's say this, and most games i've watched with Maxpax where it goes late game, he usually stops expanding after 4 or 5 bases.
Freaking insane game, idk how Serral does it man, like honestly how he win that 😅
Despite they tune up Broodlords' movement speed from previous balance update, but it feel still pretty underwelming for defending multiprong attack in this match.

I think the infestor needs a buff of 10 HP so it doesn't naturally gets obliterated by feedback. Why is feedback a smiting spell to the infestor?
Yes, i thought of this now too.
The main reason with feedback is to take away the energy, right? So, maybe lessen the damage (i know they did that once already, but still).
The infestors main thing is that units cannot move and use abilities like blink or teleport (for bc), so the damage is very negligible. So feedback should be too :D

Its because he does not play that often probably. From what I understand most pros practice in custom games against team mates and friends so not on ladder.

The skill difference here is so far apart. Serral can manage his lings, ultras and queens doing counter attacks and defense while constantly scouting. Maxpax can't even micro 25 zealots to kill a single hatch.

If MaxPax would play tournaments, we would have less talk about "Protoss too weak".
IMO he is a very strong indicator, that it is not the race, but the players.
Sorry, but if Hero is your best player, you just won't win a lot. Hero has insane games - both with high quality, but with mistakes that you just can't make if you want to win a tournament.
