Regular fake looking baby dolls scare me (I refused to go near them as a kid). These would give me a heart attack. I just know I'd forget when I set it down and get jump scared later lol. Wonderful pieces of art tho

I have thousands of dollars worth of lego kits. My mother refused to buy them for me as a child. Then she told me it was a boy toy but as an adult she has told me that they just costed too much. I have grown up money now. 😂
@mspaint93 From what I've heard, they actually can be! I once read an article or story about how some adult special needs people will have these babies to keep them company and make it feel as if they have an actual baby of their own. I think it's all really sweet

The infant dolls are cute especially the tiny ones but the older ones start to get a little too uncanny valley for me. Maybe it’s because the babies eyes are closed
i used to be into these fake babies a lot, specifically the silicone ones. i was really interested by how realistic they always looked, and specially when they were mini ones. i dont really care for babies but they always look so cool ngl. doll making is awesome. ❤
If you ever need a new home for one I work for the mentally disabled I currently stay In a home with a woman in her 30 and one in her 60’s both unfortunately we’re not able to have children due to doctors warning of the risks the unborn children would face. So both women had a full hysterectomy but both love baby dolls. Each has a bassinet and car seats in their room and it’s the sweetest how they treat their babies but they are awfully expensive and the company I work for does not see them as an investment for these women which is truly heartbreaking to me. I see the best sides of them when they are caring for their children.
I’ve heard holding reborn dolls really calms down dementia and Alzheimer patients as well. Holding and rocking babies just brings out those mum instincts. I know that even now that my kids are teenagers if I’m holding something like a bag of flour or something in line at the grocery store I just instinctively start rocking it lol
@@michelleh2534 it looks like there's a couple of schemes from Alzheimer's charities and so on. Might be worth mentioning it to your bosses? Maybe they'll be more on board with the idea if they know it's free?
Could you compare the size between a preemie and a newborn? I was a very very early preemie and always told I was quite small - so I was wondering what the comparison's like! Love your vids!!
I agree. I saw her mini baby and was like "aw, a preemie!" Then saw her preemie baby and was like..."that's a bug preemie." My son was a big preemie, he was 7lb, 20 in. He was 6 weeks early. Now my nieces were 24w 4days, and they were 12 in 1lb 10oz and 10 in 1lb 4oz. My daughter was full term and on 22 in and 6 lb 3 oz.

I collect antique dolls and i have two porcelain babies in my collection. One is a tiny baby boy and the other is about toddler age and was my first black porcelain doll(shes so beautiful, shes from the Vanessa collection)

I love seeing all the different types of dolls that people collect! Personally I'm more into fashion dolls like Monster high and Barbie but I do admire how realistic real Born Dolls look! (even if they creep me out just a tad)

My great grandmother used to collect them. She gave me some and I still have them. I love them so much and I miss her so much.
