      Thank you so much for your comment Milly, I'm so glad you found it helpful, I just know from using CZcams videos myself, how frustrating it can be when you think its going to be helpful but then they whizz through everything and you have to keep pausing constantly! Oh how wonderful. I once designed flowers for a handfasting wedding ceremony, which coincided with Beltane. I used hawthorn blossoms (removing the thorns, of course!) and lots of flowers and foliage which had special meanings to the couple.
      I’m so glad the video was helpful and hope you had a good Beltane. Tracey x

    Thank you so very much Tracey, i really enjoyed your tutorial, I'm a cake maker by trade (I've been doing cakes for 30yrs) and I'll be turning 60 years old in June 😱 so thought I'd love to to try something different. I done an online diploma course in Floristry and enjoyed it so much that I've decided to do flowers as well !!!..(of course I've made millions of sugar flowers over the years and believe me they are a complete pain in the bum to put together as they are so delicate and break so easily)LOL. But I'm trying to get as much help as i can and I'll definitely be watching your tutorials, i can't wait to get stuck into it !!!...take care Xxx 😊😃🤣😉😍🤩💐🌹🥀🌺🌼

    • @CampbellsFlowers
      @CampbellsFlowers  Před 4 lety +1

      Quantum Explorer I wouldn't do it a couple of days but you can do it the day before. You'll need to mist it with water and then gently stand it on damp kitchen roll and also gently cover with damp kitchen roll too. Keep an eye on it and try not to let it dry out too much - keep it somewhere cool and dry. Not in the fridge it's too cold! Hope that helps Tracey x

  • @karolinetlbllkarlsen4350

    Hi there, what a wonderfull video! I was wondering if it would be possible to make it way ahead of time and let the flowers dry out in a dark room or will it become too fragile? I am considering to use lavender or heather. (I live in Scandinavia)
    Lots of love to you ❤️

    • @CampbellsFlowers
      @CampbellsFlowers  Před 2 lety +1

      Hello karoline and thank you so much for your lovely kind words. So I would recommend that you dry the lavender and heather first, before you make the flower crown. The reason is that if you use fresh flowers to create the design and then dry them, the stems will dehydrate which makes them much thinner and no longer secure. You will find that as they dry out, the bindings will move and no longer be secure as you originally worked with stems which were much plumper as they were full of water. I hope this makes sense, if you need any further help, do let me know. And I'd absolutely love to see what you make too, so send me photographs if you can! Tracey x

    Hi can I make these beforehand and still keep flowers fresh and hydrated ?

    • @CampbellsFlowers
      @CampbellsFlowers  Před 3 lety +1

      It can depend on the flowers you use but if you place damp tissue/paper towel/kitchen roll under and over them that will help. I’d make them as last thing as possible the day before but no longer. You can also mist the design with a little water too. Hope that helps Tracey

      I would say if you’re not a professional then you would be best to make early on the day and keep in damp tissue. Flower choice is really important in terms of the design lasting so stick with what I used if you can! Hope this helps, good luck!
