Nah its that AI might have all the knowledge from the internet, it still struggles to apply it as there has never been an AI or code which can solve advance mathematical questions, even if it was given exactly the information needed to answer the given question due to the lack of ability of the AI to use the information in the right manner to be able to solve such a complex question. It is like giving someone who doesn't speak English a set of words with the definition of each word and telling them to put it in the write grammatical order. It would be impossible. Well I think eventually AI can get smart enough to be able to solve an IIT JEE exam and score full marks ever time but that is at least a decade ahead. And it is only going to be possible because of the people who cracked exams like these and were smart enough to code something like this. Unless they find a way for AI to code a complex AI to be able to code such AI,s which means AI has enough power to take over the world...

i tried the same thing on smaller set of questions. The thing is, if we regenerate response 4-5 times there is a chance it will answer it correct. for the first 3 time it usually answers even basic questions wrong, so we should regenerate response at least 4-5 times to see if it is able to solve in future attempts.

I have seen that ChatGPT tends to make too many calculation mistakes. In college I have tried to use it to "verify" some of my answers and have found it to give a lot of incorrect steps, some so silly ki hasi aati thi. So it is never safe to rely on ChatGPT. It might have access to a lot of knowledge but basic maths ko galat solve krta hai.

Tried gpt 4 with code interpreter on earlier JEE advanced (like 2018) and is able to answer some questions. But JEE advanced 2023 can only answer very very few questions only.
