  • Here is a 50,000 mile review of my 2017 Ford F-250 Super Duty Powerstroke 6.7L Diesel Lariat Crew Cab FX4 SWB Truck. This loaded Ford F250 truck review will cover the best and worst features included plus features I wish I would have added. You'll see some of the highlights including the panoramic sunroof, 360 degree cameras, ambient lighting, power telescoping & power folding mirrors, adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist, and even a built-in safe!
A couple of the custom items I've added are the Lund trifold soft tonneau cover and BF Goodrich T/A2 tires. Other than that, this truck is stock!
This truck is used for my business and to transport my family. Hauling tractors to and from customers is a primary function and it has a bumper pull trailer on it most of the time. I do plan to add a gooseneck trailer this year. If you're in the market for a tractor, then please shop www.goodworkstractors.com. Thanks for watching and SUBSCRIBE TO MY CHANNEL!

My 2017 F-350 is exactly like yours except for being a 1 ton and long bed. We use it to tow a 12,000 lb 29 foot 5th wheel. A year ago we did a 14,000 mile five month trip to Alaska and Canada without any trouble save a broken windshield. I have had trucks all my life, this is the best , and since I am 70, my last. I doubt I will ever outlive this truck. Nice review, I agree with all you said. These are wonderful and powerful trucks.

Love your tractor reviews and Ford SD also. That key hole to the right of your lisence plate is a spare tire cap, removes to access your spare tire connection. I would change the oil at the 5k interval's or manufacturer recommendation. Crusial on diesel fuel injection systems. Great video 👌

We have almost identical trucks, same color inside and out Lariats and almost the exact same spec. The only difference between our trucks is mine's a 2018, I personally tune it myself, and i have BLIS but not adaptive cruise. You have Adaptive cruise but no BLIS. Everything else is the same even down to non heated rear seats. I love the 360* cam system it's saved my butt a few times! I wish like you said, we had LEDS! I also want Adaptive cruise, and heated rear seats. My uncle who is a GM of sales at a Vision Ford said "when do you ever sit in the back seats?" True sales man lol! I will say I love the BLIS! It works great even with a trailer! Little cars can easily hide sometimes and It extends it's range for your trailer, up to 32ft of trailer if i remember correctly. When ever you are looking for a new truck give me a shout, my uncle can get you a great deal.

I traded in a Ram 1500 EcoDiesel towards this truck. I enjoyed the EcoDiesel and it got great mileage, but it lacks severely for towing power. If I recall, somewhere around 8,000 lbs? If it weren't for that, I'd probably still have it. Thanks for watching!

Nice review. Yeah, I can’t believe they sell the new Super Duty trucks without the quad beams...like other have said, the lock on the back bumper is for your spare tire. Also the button you weren’t sure about is to cancel the interior lights while doors are open. The truck color is Magnetic. Also...I learned this on a 2016 F350, don’t go cheap on your bed cover. That is why it catches the tailgate occasionally...

I'm sure someone's already said it, but I don't feel like scouring the comments, lol. Anyway, the lock by your license plate is to remove the cover for your spare crank to lower your spare tire, should you get a flat. Prevents people from stealing it. As for the extra features; one I recommend looking at after-market for (regardless what brand vehicle you buy) is auto-start. The auto-starts that come in vehicles from dealers are about as cheap of an auto-start package as you can get, so they typically have terrible range and reliability, but make sure you can get one that will work with it, first. Had an after-market installed in my 2004 F150 and I can start my truck from over a mile away, or more useful for me; I can start it from my station at work, which is inside a metal sided building. With the factory one I'd have to be standing within 50 feet with nothing between me and the truck except maybe a window. I also get a confirmation that it received the signal and started or not. Just be sure to confirm that there are compatible ones for the vehicle, and I believe you have to get the vehicle without a stock one, as the stock system interferes with the after-market ones, I've heard. I would recommend the radio receiver, as well, but I don't know of any that support all of the extra features. Love the after-market stereo I installed in my 2004, though. Way more responsive than my dad's 2015 stock one.

Nice truck! I just became a first time truck owner with a used Ford Ranger mostly for weekend hauling. Been curious about the larger trucks for down the road. This in depth review provided a lot of information and things to consider. I also love the integrated safe. Never knew of such a feature. Especially useful for conceal carry for those of us in restrictive states as you pointed out with the IL example. After market options for that purpose just don’t seem to work as well as what the Super Duty provides built in.

You could put a true Air ride suspension on your truck to get a little more door clearance from Kelderman mfg. Have them add a dump valve to lower your truck. Check aftermarket for led headlights. You can fill up at Truck Stops most have a second pump at the fuel Island for DEF. I went for a test ride in a 2017 Ford F 250, a bit rough of a ride and it was funny when dealer went also and bounced out his seat as I came into a bumpy parking lot. A few things why I didn't buy was it didn't have step in the tailgate. They only offered me 15,000.bucks for my 2008 Chevy 1500 LTZ with less than 60,000 miles. So back to a 2018 Chevrolet 2500 HD 4x4 and couldn't be happier

I can't recall a Ford I've looked at in quite awhile that didn't have the integrated tailgate step. Most do unless maybe it's a real plain jane model. Doesn't seem like that's what you were looking at though. Maybe just an odd one.
No doubt they have a stiff ride. GM rides much smoother. Thanks for watching!

Leveling kit and 37” tires and these trucks are perfect actually I’ve owned lots of vehicles chevyduramaxs dodges the Ford is by far best truck in my opinion but dodge is right behind them if dodge would fix there emissions systems the way the fords are I might would try one next time..

Illinois does NOT recognize conceal and carry from ANY state. Just an FYI brother.
