Awsome coverage 👍🏾 Thanks for sharing! Up until now, I wasn't someone who was following this game too closely (it felt a little generic at first glance, especially since all FF games carry the same feel of.. well, fantasy), but this definitely has me intrigued.
When the full game does come out, would you be interested in covering it on your channel?
I absolutely plan to. :) Glad you were able to get some new insight into the FF games. Though some games are more modern like 7 and 15, especially 15. I hope you stick with me as I upload more content about 16.
The story is a bit generic, but on the flipside it is hard to carve something that people would defy as unique with how many stories exists lol.
We have both a tale of revenge for the brother and master. Seems to me like it's going to be a fight club thing where he finds out he is the villain he's been chasing all this time. Maybe they might do a FF8 type thing where the true villain is from the future possessing people which is how 2 Eikons are existing at once lol ( haven't followed much either since I also didn't want spoilers).
All I know is I am looking forward to the iconic line " the princess you are looking for is in another castle" ( his sister) lol.
In all seriousness the demo was great. Just not much of a fan with the world map type traveling. Always loved seeing the gradual climate change as you traversed the world, and not the hub type stuff. Guess all that is going into FF7 and there 2 UHD disc game lol.
The full game will have some open world exploration.
I'm seeing the "FF" story without any retell videos, and I decided to start by the "FFs" that influenced "KH" the most. And this is the weird part. I never saw "FF X" in my life until a few days ago, but watching it made me feel nostalgic (not even "Kingdom Hearts" managed to make me feel like that).
Watching it, was like seeing those old football animes I used to love as a child and "Fatal Frame" as I was experiencing them for the firsr time again. "FF X" was like meeting a new passion and an old friend at the same time.
Is such thing even possible ? Has someone ever felt something similar to this ?
Not watching until the end cause I'd rather see the rest myself one day. Combat looks good, maybe a bit flashy making the fight a bit less readable, the only big complaint is that the use of Torgal might become annoying after hearing "get him boy, you know what to do boy" for the 100th time in a hard fight. Other than that, looks cool! But with the Dragon's Dogma and DMC combat director, having bad fight would've been worrying.
I know the day 1 patch is meant to fix some issues and complaints people had with the demo such as no motion blur toggle and no customizable button layout. There were some accessories given to us to automate some aspects of gameplay in the mid-way demonstration, but I'm not sure if auto-Torgal was one of them. I also considered it getting annoying after a while, but Torgal is my favorite part so far so I may have a higher tolerance for it.
Hey Ziv, if the "FF" games were ever merged in one world, which games would you like to see in that world ? I think I would like to see the games "FF 2, 4, 5, 6, 10, Tactics, 7 and the soon come to be 16".

Well, FF14 is pretty close to seeing them all merge together, if not the Dissidia series. My personal favorites are 7, 9, 10, and 14 for now, but 16 is looking very likely!
@@Zivalene perhaps, but I was thinking on a proper merging, meaning they have the same world history, their own kingdoms through out their shared world...

I hear people saying it looks too similar to "GoT". I never watched the show, so... Did you find it too similar ? I mean, "FF: 2" and "FF: Tactics" were kinda similar to "GoT" too, but I still loved those two.
It's similar in having many territories with different cultures peoples and politics and how the dragons or Eikons play a role in establishing and keeping power.
Afraid I never watched Game of Thrones, nor have I had the opportunity to play FF2 and Tactics; so can't really say. Either way, Medieval time periods are classic Final Fantasy, so it's not really a bother to me.
@@KaoticVibes sounds like your average fantasy to me. I was thinking more on if the family tragedy is too simlar to "GoT". I know the show is known for its extreme violence and tragedy.
@@JabamiLainFamily tragedy is classic historic drama. GoT was inspired by Shakespeare and he was inspired by real historic tragedies as well as Greek legends.

I'm already crying. I hate seeing children characters dying. It was bad enough when I was forced to cry for Hugo, who was a little brother to even the players. I can't bear to lose Joshua too. As the Phoenix, I hope he can return.
Agreed, they really did a great job making you care about Clive, Joshua and Elwin so quickly that I'm certainly on board for this revenge story.
....and you meant Joshua instead of Hugo, right? Not Titan?
@@Zivaleneoh ! I was comparing Joshua's loss with Hugo's from "Plague Tale". It was the best way for me to describe my feelings.
Speaking of feelings, I know cases like the queen's exist ALL around the world, but I never understood its purpose or logic. It seems to be based on some belief that humanity should behave like the average animal, care more about strength and positions than intelligence and merit.
@@JabamiLain Ah, can't say I'm familiar with that game. Pure coincidence that there's a character in 16 named Hugo!
story looks good but the combat leaves something to be desired not to mention the movement of the character it feels very low budget ff7 remake was way better in that department. prob just going to play for the epic story but won't platinum it. yes i played the demo.
