He is from Spain. He passed not so long ago. One of the best singers in the Latino community ever. He was a singer, songwriter, producer, and actor. He spoke and sang in English, as well. He was one of the best balladeers of the late '60's, '70's, and 80's.

Camilo Sesto was a Spanish pop singer. In the late 70s he stayed in London while recording a new album. During his free time there, he went to watch 'Jesuchrist Superstar". He got cautivated by the show so he decided to bring it to Spain. He became a producer, investing his own money. It was a bold move because he found a negative reaction from conservative forces and the powerful Catholic church. The show was a sucess. But it was such a big effort for Camilo Sesto's vocal chords and as far I as know, he never performed in a musical show, just kept as a pop singer.

@@jorgepadilla8964 Lo sé, conozco bien su discografía. Así es, 'Algo de mí' es fantástica vocalmente, como también lo es 'Perdóname' o tantas otras. Pero 'Vivir así es morir de amor' es un hit atemporal, con mucha marcha para hacer un video-reacción.
Sí, es un hit, pero teniendo el repertorio que tiene Camilo en el que hay verdaderas obras, quizá vivir así es morir de amor no sea la mejor. O por lo menos para mí.
Por cierto, si no la conoces mira la versión de Mónica Naranjo de vivir así es morir de amor, increíble

This song is part of opera rock jesus Christ súperstar. The song is about the last hours of jesus before he was killed. The lyrics are beautiful and the meaning is devastating, jesus asking god to spare him all the pain he knows will come and finally accepting it.

Waoo ...eso ... muy bien su reacción ..pero no entiendo nada sólo adivino , pero por sus aplausos y expresiones reconocen lo más grande de España .
En la mayoría tienes subtítulos automáticos para saber lo que dicen en sus reacciones. Sencillamente alucinan. No entienden la letra pero la expresión corporal es un lenguaje universal y aquí hay de sobra.
Como recomendación, escucha toda la obra musical de Jesucristo Superestrella, para entender el contexto del tema de Getsemani (la oracion del huerto de los olivos), para que sea aun mas tu admiración por la interpretación, calidad vocal y musical de esta obra de los años 70's. Y espero que no se pierda la admiración por estos artistas que dejaron huella por ser completamente unos artistas verdaderos. Saludos desde Mexico.
