I think Harmonious hits really hard emotionally when you hear the story, about giving the songs to people from the country and asking them to give back how they do it. Knowing it’s a cultural reply, that is blended in harmony with other cultures from around the world means so much more.
The first time I saw harmonious, I was very skeptical until Moana began to play. The sweetest little girls next to me began singing along in Spanish, and it made me realize how even though I don’t speak Spanish, the song still had the same meaning to those little girls as it did to me. After that, it gave a whole new meaning to the show! Thank you guys for your amazing coverage of food and wine!

This comment made go check out the whole thing, and oh my god. I'm a huge sucker for Disney music- the Hercules music alone made me tear up- hearing the bit of it in Greek was amazing. The syncopation in Arabian Nights, omg? And heaven knows watching it wasn't the first time Someday has made me full-on cry. Something I did learn recently though, Someday is actually *not* an original from the musical- it's the ending credits song for the movie! It's a typical 90's Disney pop music outro, though- nothing compared to the way they did it in the musical.
As a musician and singer I loved harmonious and the freedoms the amazing artists were each given when they sang the Disney classics. It’s always so cool to see what other people think about things. Btw I love y’all’s videos

I was at WDW in February when they had the Rainbow Connection performance on Spaceship Earth and I sat and watched it and cried. It was just so special. I totally agree that the 'magic' added to Spaceship Earth is such a glow up!

My husband and I were walking with Kitra as you guys made your way to Simmering Sips. We told Kitra that we aren't the biggest fans of Harmonious. We liked the temporary show they had before starting Harmonious better; and we like Enchantment at Magic Kingdom better as well. We are going to have to make our way to Disney in Cali one day, Kitra had great things to say about the shows there. I also get really bad motion sickness and was ok in guardians. I took a Dramamine in the morning and requested the front. I also get my eyes on the track even as we turned which I think really helped. I also think peters hypothesis about people drinking and being out in the sun is dead on. Ratatouille actually made me feel worse than guardians
I live about 45 minutes away from the parks and can confirm that heat /humidity is absolutely miserable in August. That brussel sprout dish looked delicious

Those birds are Ibis. We have them everywhere in Florida. I see flocks of them all over my neighborhood at dawn and dusk in the yards getting bugs out of the grass.
Everything looked so good! I also love crispy Brussel sprouts now lol. Didn’t like them as a kid but they didn’t make them like that back then. Happy you guys got to go back to EPCOT to experience all the new things.. and I agree- spaceship earth with all the lights looks amazing!

My family and I just landed back in Hawaii from Florida. It’s crazy how spaced apart the parks are. What’s crazier than that was the heat! We did 1 day of every park and it was brutal with how much we covered. On top of that we did two days at universal which was okay. The weather at the time delayed a lot of the rides.
Kitra you really should get the motion sickness patches from your doctor. My husband has severe motion sickness even goin on the roller coasters. Once I convinced him to try the patch, he now has so much fun at the parks. It really is disheartening to go to WDW or Disneyland and not be able to ride anything because your afraid to get sick. But since I convinced him to try the patch it makes it so much better for him and the rest of the family. Even if you don’t use them every day you can use them for rides like Guardians and not be afarid.

Guardians is probably the best ride in the world right now. My mom gets bad motion sickness and she said she didn't feel a thing when riding. I would highly suggest riding it if you get another chance.
So, its funny my parents, at least for the past few years have both been renting the electric scooters whenever we go to Disneyland, and they love them, my dad always zooms off from the rest if us to get into lines early and to scout out different areas. It just made me laugh. I hope your ankle feels better! And that you had fun zooming around haha, love you guys!!
If you guys ever decide to go to NYC you should go to a restaurant in the lower east side called Raclette it’s amazing. You said you don’t like Swiss but there are different cheese options.
I feel the same way about the glow up for Spaceship Earth. As someone who grew up with EPCOT Center in the 80s, that addition to Spaceship Earth is incredible and embodies the spirit of how I felt about EPCOT back in the 80s. Harmonious is a good start. I feel like it has a good foundation, but they need to build and tweak it more. Wholeheartedly agree about the barges being an eyesore. The show is not worth having that there. I'd rather forgo having the show to not have the barges in World Showcase lagoon.
Love your videos and love the cheese challenge. As a big bird nerd I just wanted to share that those long legged white birds are a type of shorebird called A White Ibis. Keep up the great work!
So quick note to kitra from someone who was born and raised in florida. The "florida ducks" she saw are known as American ibis and were seen by the Seminole tribe as a hurricane omen since they were the last to leave and the first to come back.
I enjoyed Harmonious, the could have added parts of this to Illumination. Think with Illumination, you have a good view from wherever as with Harmonious is two sides to get a good view. So glad you got to see Kevin and Spaceship Earth at night.
Totally agree with you guys, it's like the new shows just don't pull at the heart strings like the old ones did! And to take up all of the lake for that stuff just doesn't seem worth it, honesty just some lit up fountains could accomplish the same thing. Love you guys!!

I liked your decision to only go on Guardians TOGETHER. That was sweet. Getting the little cart for Kitra was also a great idea. The last time I went with my father to DisneyLand, I convinced him to rent one, and he had a wonderful time. Your commercial in the middle actually was very well written/performed (which is really not why I watch your channel). While I don't drink alcohol, your video really makes me want to take my sister to the Food & Wine Festival sometime (she really likes wine and beer). The day at Epcot was amazing and living here in SoCal I’ve never been there and because of you guys I got to experience the beauty of Epcot and the Wonderful Food And Wine Festival and I will say of all the food you guys tried it looked so tasty but the best part of being at Epcot was being able to hang out with you guys and you guys made the day so special now with that being said peace ☮️ love ❤️ and happiness to you Kitra and Peter and I’ll see you guys on the next awesome Ordinary Adventure peace ☮️ out ✌️
Epcot is one of our favorite parks in wdw and you need to experience it during a festival. Festival of the arts is our favorite because it’s not just food but a lot or art and entertainment as well.
We just loved this video, haven't been to food and wine in a long long time and this made me look up tickets to go back this fall. Yum all the cheese! I think this is the best festival food as a whole I've see in the past few years.
Hi guys! I glad you made it back over to hot-as-heck FL, you’re brave for getting out there! I really, sincerely think you need another watch of Harmonious, it’s a fantastic show, and all that went into it to coordinate different artists in various countries is really impressive. I do know what you mean as far as lacking a little bit of connective heart that Illuminations provided but it is still a really collaborative show with some amazing light, water, and pyro effects! 🎇🌍🎆 But agree - the lights on Spaceship Earth are fantastic!!! Feels like could’ve been there the whole time.
I agree! While I totally agree on the pieces being an eyesore during the day I was surprised to hear they didn't feel any heartstrings were tugged during this show. For me as a 90s baby hearing them bring back songs from my childhood, but then connect them to and give ode to the cultures they drew the stories from was amazing! It got me really choked up personally lol (especially the Hunchback of Notre Dame in the Europe portion and the Someday rendition at the end-also in credits of Hunchback). But also intercultural exchange is my bread and butter, so that could be why too lol. Traditionally, Epcot had little to no reference to Disney characters either, so I think it seems appropriate the music would focus more on the cultures that exist within the movies than keeping the original songs themselves. The songs are so addictive I listen to them on a regular in my car! I think if you're trying to sit and compare it to what was that does add a layer of disappointment that will cloud your perspective, so I agree a fresh look at it for what it is and the unique aspects of it is a great idea! :D But if you watch again and still are not as fond of it, no worries! I guess that's the beauty of Disney constantly innovating, they are always keeping us on our toes! haha ...I will say though nothing compares to the Millennium Celebration (Tapestry of Nations) at Epcot in 2000... now THAT was a show... !! The music from that is absolutely amazing too. Also I wanted to add, I just love your videos so much! Thanks for always brightening my days with your content! I live vicariously through you!!! haha
Everyone involved in the show as far as the singers are very talented. The show is impressive. That being said, we felt no emotional connection to it and think many other shows around disney parks are better. To each their own. Glad you love it!
When I rode guardians last month it really wasn’t bad, there’s not really any sharp turns, it’s just a lot large sweeping curves that push you back in your seat, you guys will be fine, and yea I thought the same thing about the show too, the alternative languages is cool but I think they should’ve cut it back a bit and played more of all the stuff we know and love, cuz there was lot and it made the show alot less impactful

Stay cool out there - this heat is hitting different this year. I was at Epcot a couple of weeks ago and I literally could only to eat two things because of the heat, you did good to do all the cheese - but there’s no way I could do guardians after that. It’s best to hit it in the morning, before you are too hot or too full, and I recommend doing it on Dramamine or other motion sickness preventative. ❤️
When I went to Anaheim and Disneyland. I drank so much apple soirée at Ballast point. Also I found a favorite beer called Mango Cart. That stuff was amazing. Loving the videos guys. Also love Patreon.

I’ve tried nausea stuff and sometimes it works sometimes it doesn’t. I know me and my body and unfortunately I think I’d get sick no matter what

So, its funny my parents, at least for the past few years have both been renting the electric scooters whenever we go to Disneyland, and they love them, my dad always zooms off from the rest if us to get into lines early and to scout out different areas. It just made me laugh. I hope your ankle feels better! And that you had fun zooming around haha, love you guys!!

I feel the same way about the glow up for Spaceship Earth. As someone who grew up with EPCOT Center in the 80s, that addition to Spaceship Earth is incredible and embodies the spirit of how I felt about EPCOT back in the 80s. Harmonious is a good start. I feel like it has a good foundation, but they need to build and tweak it more. Wholeheartedly agree about the barges being an eyesore. The show is not worth having that there. I'd rather forgo having the show to not have the barges in World Showcase lagoon.

So quick note to kitra from someone who was born and raised in florida. The "florida ducks" she saw are known as American ibis and were seen by the Seminole tribe as a hurricane omen since they were the last to leave and the first to come back.
Yeah we call them Florida ducks because the serve the same purpose of the ducks in Disneyland. They wait and get your crumbs
I enjoyed Harmonious, the could have added parts of this to Illumination. Think with Illumination, you have a good view from wherever as with Harmonious is two sides to get a good view. So glad you got to see Kevin and Spaceship Earth at night.
Yeah the sight line seem bad, although I haven’t seen it from a bad sight line so I’m only assuming.

Totally agree with you guys, it's like the new shows just don't pull at the heart strings like the old ones did! And to take up all of the lake for that stuff just doesn't seem worth it, honesty just some lit up fountains could accomplish the same thing. Love you guys!!

I liked your decision to only go on Guardians TOGETHER. That was sweet. Getting the little cart for Kitra was also a great idea. The last time I went with my father to DisneyLand, I convinced him to rent one, and he had a wonderful time. Your commercial in the middle actually was very well written/performed (which is really not why I watch your channel). While I don't drink alcohol, your video really makes me want to take my sister to the Food & Wine Festival sometime (she really likes wine and beer). In fact, I texted my sister with a link to your video almost immediately!

Harmonious was good but illuminations just hits different for me personally

The day at Epcot was amazing and living here in SoCal I’ve never been there and because of you guys I got to experience the beauty of Epcot and the Wonderful Food And Wine Festival and I will say of all the food you guys tried it looked so tasty but the best part of being at Epcot was being able to hang out with you guys and you guys made the day so special now with that being said peace ☮️ love ❤️ and happiness to you Kitra and Peter and I’ll see you guys on the next awesome Ordinary Adventure peace ☮️ out ✌️
Epcot is one of our favorite parks in wdw and you need to experience it during a festival. Festival of the arts is our favorite because it’s not just food but a lot or art and entertainment as well.
Definitely getting those fans for our trip this fall 🥵

We just loved this video, haven't been to food and wine in a long long time and this made me look up tickets to go back this fall. Yum all the cheese! I think this is the best festival food as a whole I've see in the past few years.

Hi guys! I glad you made it back over to hot-as-heck FL, you’re brave for getting out there! I really, sincerely think you need another watch of Harmonious, it’s a fantastic show, and all that went into it to coordinate different artists in various countries is really impressive. I do know what you mean as far as lacking a little bit of connective heart that Illuminations provided but it is still a really collaborative show with some amazing light, water, and pyro effects! 🎇🌍🎆 But agree - the lights on Spaceship Earth are fantastic!!! Feels like could’ve been there the whole time.
I agree! While I totally agree on the pieces being an eyesore during the day I was surprised to hear they didn't feel any heartstrings were tugged during this show. For me as a 90s baby hearing them bring back songs from my childhood, but then connect them to and give ode to the cultures they drew the stories from was amazing! It got me really choked up personally lol (especially the Hunchback of Notre Dame in the Europe portion and the Someday rendition at the end-also in credits of Hunchback). But also intercultural exchange is my bread and butter, so that could be why too lol. Traditionally, Epcot had little to no reference to Disney characters either, so I think it seems appropriate the music would focus more on the cultures that exist within the movies than keeping the original songs themselves.
The songs are so addictive I listen to them on a regular in my car! I think if you're trying to sit and compare it to what was that does add a layer of disappointment that will cloud your perspective, so I agree a fresh look at it for what it is and the unique aspects of it is a great idea! :D But if you watch again and still are not as fond of it, no worries! I guess that's the beauty of Disney constantly innovating, they are always keeping us on our toes! haha
...I will say though nothing compares to the Millennium Celebration (Tapestry of Nations) at Epcot in 2000... now THAT was a show... !! The music from that is absolutely amazing too.

Everyone involved in the show as far as the singers are very talented. The show is impressive. That being said, we felt no emotional connection to it and think many other shows around disney parks are better. To each their own. Glad you love it!
When I rode guardians last month it really wasn’t bad, there’s not really any sharp turns, it’s just a lot large sweeping curves that push you back in your seat, you guys will be fine, and yea I thought the same thing about the show too, the alternative languages is cool but I think they should’ve cut it back a bit and played more of all the stuff we know and love, cuz there was lot and it made the show alot less impactful

Stay cool out there - this heat is hitting different this year. I was at Epcot a couple of weeks ago and I literally could only to eat two things because of the heat, you did good to do all the cheese - but there’s no way I could do guardians after that. It’s best to hit it in the morning, before you are too hot or too full, and I recommend doing it on Dramamine or other motion sickness preventative. ❤️
