I am not really sure if anyone still reads the comments here, but the format of the show is amazing. The stores which are being told are amazing.
I still haven't seen anything comparable, just love capture!
can't believe this doesn't have a million views... it's a good show. plus, it inspires me to listen to people talk about photography *-*
Even after eight years still a great series
It is a disgrace that these videos aren't getting more views. These are some of the greatest photographers in the world!
"Shootback", I love the concept. I have unknowingly been practicing this too for awhile, and I am no celebrity. But I do go on group outings, mostly hikes, where there are lots of cameras and phones being used, and I have always found it fun and different to shoot the photographers in action.
Suddenly a fan of Bob Gruen, didn't know he was behind so many AWESOME rock n roll photos!! Mission Accomplished Capture, exposing Bob Gruen to a new generation of music fans!!
It is rare to find a show on the internet that inspires you to create.
I got Mark's book from the library last year. It's great. Also, saw The Bacon Brothers back in 2000 or so, which made this episode even better.
I stumbled upon this show while looking for Martin Schoeller. I love it! It's my new favourite.
This is one of the best videos I've seen on CZcams in a very long time. I grew up with so many of Bob Gruen's photographs, especially his work with John and Yoko in NYC, and just as they were definitive voices of a particular time, of a particular generation, Gruen's work was the vision of that particular time. Getting to hear directly from him the stories of how he met them and how the photo shoots occurred is magical. I will be sharing the hell out of this video!
Pretty sure the "shoot-back" is the premise of Lenny Kravitz's "Flash" book that isn't too old (maybe 2015 or 2016). Great show and this pair is particularly awesome.
this isso great, Mark a native Texan, and the host photographed me in 2oo3, Lenny Kravitz walked i during the shoot, later my daughter told me who he was, I was so NAIVE.....I think my sister Bridget may have the only copy left.,hope so. Kevin Bacon is so rich in character and being.
This was really good. And I discovered yet another side of Kevin Bacon. He's a good photographer. Enjoyed watching him talk with some great photographers. I just love all sides of Kevin. Good person and so multi talented.
19:12 - 19:40 I really loved what he says here....very motivating.
"The way I think of it is that a good photograph can show you the facts of what's going on, but a great photograph can show you the feelings...and make you relate to the feelings. There's a lot of intuition..you have to know what could be coming and be in the right place at the right time ready to capture what hasn't happened yet...but you have to be there before it happens." -Bob Gruen
Really nice work Mark. I've been sharing the show with my students. Great work.
Love it.

I love Capture! :)
I really love this show. good job, very informative! I would love to see more fashion photography stuff :)
Love this show and channel. Thank you.
AWESOME
Great show.
thanks!
What I think about the show? It's fabulous!
Kevin Bacon says: "Can everybody take good picture?". There is the flip side of this. We live in a world of clutter. People don't have reliable criteria to tell the good from the bad, to judge fairly, and appreciate. So, the question is also: "Can everybody appreciate good picture?"
not that in to this kind of art but really nice series :-D
The Shootback 3:06
Why is conversation becoming a lost art. First thing that came to me was technology, but that's not completely true. Technology has changed the way we have conversations. I'd say some people don't know how to speak to other people in person, but that doesn't mean they can't speak with people.
shootback... come on!
