Nat, Can you please tell me what kind / size needle you use for french knots? Is it the same whether you are using 1 strand of thread or 6 strands of thread?
I use different sizes, I like to use 3-9 DMC set of needles in my work. They have sharp point and big eye. For 1-2 strands I use the smallest needle, for 3-4 strands I use medium size, and for 6 strands I use the biggest one. And it’s not only for french knots but for all the rest stitches, you just use the needle you feel comfortable to thread with amount of threads you need. I don’t use the biggest needle for 1-4 strands because it leaves bigger holes in the fabric than I need. And you can’t normally thread 4-6 strands into the smallest needle.
