One of the worst lenses ever made. One of my favorite to film with. Fujian 25mm f1.4 (plus BMPCC OG)

Best equipment is not always the newest, highest-quality and most expensive. Sometimes it just suits the situation or allows you to achieve specific mood.
Technically this lens is awful, but I really love it. It has a unique look, tons of quirks and 1.4 aperture. Oh, and a very low price.
This is Fujian (or just no-name CCTV) 25mm f1.4. Paired with original BlackMagic Pocket Cinema Camera it can do wonders if you give it a chance. Will you?

I kinda love this. It speaks to the individual and how we prefer certain lenses over others for no other reason than personal preference. My fav lens is a cheap, plastic, panasonic 25mm thing. In bright sunlight it is spectacular.

Exactly. I believe that you can make much more with gear you like, rather than with "ideal" gear.

Amazing I have this lense (and the 35mm) sitting on a shelf next to Angenieux etc. They came in a bundle of stuff and never paid attention to them. Thank you for making me aware of thier potential.

I love this lens, the og bmpcc crop factor cuts out any vignette. I’m using it in my next short film for flashback scenes.

Yup. Sure, a bigger sensor is great blablabla but the smaller bmpcc sensor cuts out vignette and also the awkward looking parts of my Laowa 10mm "zero distortion" image circle.

This lens is supposed to be used in CCTV cameras with tiny sensors (1/2.3"), larger sensor like APSC result in a lack of sharpness on the periphery as expected. But there is an upgraded and more expensive version of these lenses for APSC cameras, You should try it. I think this lens should work fine in systems like pentax Q that I'd like to tested.

To me is kinda weird why you say people does not like this lense. To me the footage looks very interesting. I can see that you used a pocket cinema camera and this is also a point. However it may look good on other cameras as well. I like the picture that it give this lense.

I wonder if it fits to my canon 600d? This is not a mirrorless camera. I’m not sure if it’s even possible to use this lens on canon eos. If somebody knows something about it please reply, thx🫶🏼

Hi! Unfortunately not. Even if you manage to do some sort of DIY adapter, the lens will be too far from the sensor (because of the mirror between them). So it only will work as a macro lens, focusing on objects maximum couple of centimeters away. But it is possible to adapt this lens to EOS M and R series cameras
