      Think Media picture style settings: sharpness 0, contrast -1, saturation +1, color tone +1. Use this for great looking footage and less editing in post.

      Hey man, been following you for a long time, great stuff! I set my wife up with this camera for her vlog, cause it's easy to use and looks great. She found that she was switching between settings for indoors, outdoors, and timelapse a lot, and it was frustrating to have to change all the time. Canon is a little weird with what features they restrict in what category, but I found that you can set up the "video camera" setting as a timelapse default, then I use the "C" setting as a default for indoor (not ND filter, etc), and the "M" setting for Outdoor. With auto ISO set to on on both. This way she can switch between indoor, outdoor, and timelapse, really fast. The only restriction I found so far is that, for some reason, you can't set IS to heavy in C or M, only in camera, so that's a small sacrifice, but worth it for on the fly, simple workflow stuff. Cheers

    My G7X tips - DIY or buy a wind screen for the stereo mics. Micover makes some decent ones. The two outer holes on the top are the mics. The cluster in the center is the speaker for playback. Trim the adhesive on the flash side if you plan to use the flash for photos. Get your grip and keep it. Moving your hand around on the camera can ruin audio.

    *I am actually in love with this camera, I've owned one for a couple of months now and my only complaint would be the dust inside of the lens which compromises a lot of quality in both pictures and videos when any source of light strikes the lens. And Canon won't cover the repair under warranty. Other than that, it's amazing!* Great vid bro 💯

    This definitely has me reconsidering the current Sony model I am using.
    Canon chose the right influencer to work with on this content. Congrats Sean!!
    Also, would you consider making a comparison video with the Canon 80D and the SL2?
    I think that would be valuable for many of us.

    • @Shelbizleee

      Think Media such an incredible camera! Of course I do wish they had a mic input, but even then, I find myself reaching for this way more than a dslr on most occasions. If the next generation g7x has a mic input, it’ll be a tough camera to top. Well, in terms of practicality and portability

    I really love the G7X for its low light performance and as you said the stabilization is great because you don't need a fancy gimbal or anything of that sort. You can just go out and shoot cool stuff.
    Actually, you got me into buying one of these about a year ago and i have not been disappointed yet👍

      Esra Gürler I’ve watched a few more videos of his and others too and I think that maybe the Canon EOS M50 might be the better one to get..? It’s only £100 more and apparently you get more value for your money.... that’s what it seems anyway but I would just like one of them to confirm that for me.. 😐

    • @GusDaCosta
      @GusDaCosta Před 6 lety +8

      ManCraftingTM to be honest 4K is still not a big deal in my opinion, unless of course you are shooting a big paid content for someone that requires you to shoot in 4K. It’s still expensive and you need a really good PC to edit on. I prefer Canon for the colors and great auto focus, personal preference.
