My choice would have been Honda City. You can drive it for the rest of your life without any issues. Highly dependable car. I am driving Honda Civic in US which is like Honda City for the past 10 years and faced zero issues so far. VW cars start having issues after a few tens of thousands of kms. Hopefully it wont be too bad in your case. Enjoy the new car👍

But 179mm is a great ground clearance fr a sedan

Which vehicle do you suggest for a newbie who is just started to drive or not so perfect.., A used car..? or new hatchback.?
1. After paying 20lakhs, getting 1 liter engine that too 3 cylinder is not worth it.
2. VW is not the same old stuff. Their build quality has reduced now compared to earlier.
My suggestion -
1. You could have tried XUV 700
2. City is tried and tested engine for 22 years still not a bad choice. Leg room is great.(agree with ground clearance though)
3. I would have appreciated if it was a 1.5 liter engine 4 cylinder.
4. Also turbo engine may not be as reliable as NA
1. 1L TSI engine with 114BHP and 178nm is powerful than Seltos/Creta's 1.5 engine with 113bhp and 144nm
2. Yes compare vento build quality is reduced yet it is way higher than the build quality of its contemporaries
XUV700 Top end costs around 28 on road. Too much of us
City's infotenment system is avg, only 4 speakers and ground clearance is poor
Mr that puny 1.0 produces 178 nm torque first of all you don't know any shit about turbo engines ! 1.0 turbo is equal to 1.5 naturally aspirated boring petrol engines , I am surprised do you people think you are genius to judge German technology ,do you even know what TSI means

Hyundai Creta has best in class legroom in it's segment! My height is 5'11 and seat being adjusted for the same, there is very good space behind.

1.5L dsg with cylinder deactivation technology!!. But costs more as you said. Virtus is the best in class now. It's almost Jetta range with that 1.5L engine. And that rear camera feature is called Adaptive guidelines 😊. Anyway solid choice, happy driving.
VW is a VW when it comes to world's biggest Emission scandal where all of top management was involved. VW Deceived the world like a pro. For reliability it's better to prefer Japanese brands or even Mahindra in Indian segment. Used a Jetta and got rid of it.

Bro 2 big reasons to go for an SUV is ground clearance and road presence . Considering Indian roads u never know when a pothole comes , having an SUV u can fly over them . When it comes to sedans it's a bummer . Do you agree
Having owned a Honda City from 2008 and scraping through the years, on replacing with the new 5th gen of Honda City, i haven't scraped once till date. I know that the ground clearance is pretty much the same 165, but the suspension has been stiffened and works very well. Low GC is a luxury and helps in stability of the vehicle. Rather than asking for higher GC, we must make our voice for better and scientific roads heard with competent authorities.

Great choice 💯 Am sure that you gonna enjoy the drive and hope you never regret it. In india people can’t afford SUVs so they are buying compact/crossover SUVs that’s not a real SUV though. Only 2 reason why Indians buy SUV cause it looks way bigger than any other car ( to impress the society ) and 2nd reason it suits Indian roads but mainly SUVs are used for off-roading in other countries but in our country they can do off-roading on city road itself that’s different matter. Bro 360 degree cam is very misleading, sply when you are in crowded, unfamiliar places- you can't judge the distance between car and object, and talking about reverse cam turning lines maybe you will miss them first few months but once you get the hang of it , they are unnecessary - any ways congratulations
Even dynamic reverse guidelines mislead and not useful in night conditions so better to judge by mirrors.

Nice review of car. Features looks really good. I felt head room for driver is less. Front seats warmer option should have been there for cold regions which we can see in luxury cars. Yes, we know 1ltr with 113bhp is sufficient but still 20lk car should have atleast 1.5ltr engine.
Not really. 1 ltr turbo engines are at least as powerful as 1.5 ltr naturally aspirated, usually more.
