  • In this video visit RSPB Old Moor to take photographs of birds. This time was my first visit and I was really impressed with the facilities and photos I took.
    The last two photographs in the videos were mislabelled and blurred out using CZcams's editing tools. The are an Egret and a Black Headed Gull.
    Please enjoy this video.

      I really enjoyed it. I will definitely be returning and to your neighbouring reserves. I think Adwick is next on my list.

    Hi Darrell. The colours on the Lapwing were really beautiful. Great footage of the Egret. Brilliant positioning for the Great Crested Grebe. You were spoilt for choice! Thanks Jon & Sandra

    Great video Darrell. Just one thing I noticed that in the last set of images which were great by the way up where you put the information you miss identifyed some of the birds. Just thought you might like to know but very enjoyable anyway all the best Steve.

    Hi Darrell , great photography . Went to Martin mere ( WWT ) this past week , got some great shots .2 pics at the end of your still were captioned with the wrong bird name ?.
    Also a bit of a moan , But its a shame that the RSPB don`t allow you free or discounted access into other bird reserves like the Wildfowl and wetlands trust . They are classed as separate organisations so you have to have 2 memberships . ;(

      Oops. Yes the last two suffered from copy and paste and no edit. I normally go through and check for that. Not sure how I missed the last two. I'm only human 🙄

    Hi Darrell. Thank you for sharing. I'm disappointed to see the images you shot aren't that sharp. they actually pretty blurry.

      It’s quite likely heat distortion (he mentioned it was hot and it was the middle of the day) combined with the long distances away from the subject were to blame. Heat distortion is something that all wildlife photographers should be aware of as it really degrades the sharpness of their images. But at least he enjoyed his photography.

    • @DarrellOakdenPhotography
      @DarrellOakdenPhotography  Před 3 lety +2

      Thanks Ryan. You are correct - Heat distortion played a big part and most birds were in excess 50 metres away. As I mentioned in the video I am not taking photos for critical acclaim. I was happy with the shots and accept that some were better quality than others.

      Do you think the moon landings happened? What are your thoughts on the the Loch Ness Monster?

      What is the price of tea in China? Did you fall out of a tree? Does the moon exist?@@DarrellOakdenPhotography
