No charity shop should be holding stock back for individuals. That just doesn't sit right to me.
I spent time at a charity shop 2 years ago. They always kept back games, computers and big ticket items. As they sold them off to a local "Del-Boy" who would collect on Saturday's at bottomend prices. He would then sell it off for profit at either car boots or auctions.
I actually agree with this, and some of the charity shops I visit do the opposite and sporadically put out there stock to give everyone a fair chance at buying stuff. I just kept hearing “we have a guy” and thought I’d try get amoungst it, prob won’t hear anything. Thanks mate 👍👊
@BeeRad8090 Yeah well I suppose if they already do it, then you might as well be "the guy". I knew of someone who told the charity they were sending shoes to Africa, when in fact they were selling them on Facebook Marketplace! 🙄

I always find it crazy that they will save stock to sell cheap to someone who will go and resell it for a higher price. Not hard to determine the value. Makes the experience of visiting an op shop often disappointing but things do fall through the cracks sometimes and it does feel good when you get lucky. Best find I ever had were a pair of boots worth $400AUD (£200) for $5 they looked like they had never been worn.
One of my most successful strategies is to ask "how much for all of them". Some people just want to get rid of stuff. I keep the stuff I don't have, and usually bundle up the lower value games with a console on marketplace or eBay.
Similarly, I often buy a console bundle with games on marketplace just to pick out the best games and resell the rest, often as a bundle straight back on to marketplace for the same price I bought it for.
I've ended up with a box full of FIFA's, but they are good for replacement cases too.
Yeah that’s a great idea get a bull price rather then individual. Iv done the same picked up stuff from FB picked all the good stuff out then sold for what i paid, you gotta try these types of things, being a collector is not cheap so if you can collect in a way that doesn’t break the bank it’s gotta be done. ive been told that afew times but im also local to you mate so it mite be the same shops lol i collect abit of everything so maybe one day we can do a trade also keep up the amazing vids

I get let in backroom of my best local charity shop to go thru stuff now and again, being a movie collector I'm mostly picking up dvds, blurays etc, I know what I'm looking for value wise having Done quite a while now, obviously pick up games to flip too & keep the odd one, once got a nice pile off to cex, turned £4 into £23 voucher the other week & still kept some for collection too 😊
Back room access is awesome, I used to get it in a few shops but they stopped it now. That’s great, it’s gotta be done, it’s not cheap being a collector so if you can save some money or trade in for profit to fund that habit, makes sense. Thanks mate 👍👊
Ive been finding alot of boxsets and dvds lately. More than games, to trade in. Network is alway good to look out for, some are worth selling on ebay but if you get them cheap enough you get at least £5 trade. Any old movies with vintage looking posters are worth checking out. Think godzilla type ones from the 70s. I think because they arent available on blu ray or streaming that makes them worth a bit.
Boxsets and dvds are a great way to make some money or trade, a lot of the time people think there’s no value and there more common then games. Yeah I found a network boxset the other day, always good to lookout for that. Thanks for trip on the 70s Godzilla movies I’ll keep and eye out. Thanks 👍👊

Some of my local charity shops had guys till a talked to em Tell em you will pay more for the right games and don't try and get every game at £1 especially when there worth more be fair with em on prices works great and you become the new better guy . It's worked great for me last 3 days IV spent £60 in charity shop on games Xbox 360 , GameCube , PS4. , even a set of bongos with donkey konga 2 boxed got around £300 worth so U still get deals
Yeah i agree I’m all for being fair and paying more when it’s justified or worth it, I do love a game for a pound I can’t lie, but I will pay more if I have to to get good stuff and decent deals. That’s awesome, I’d love to come across something like a boxed console or something in a charity shop. Thanks for watching 👍👊

Yeah I used to get 80% then one day they offered 70% and since I accepted that offer it’s never been 80 again, so if the you get an offer for 70 don’t take it, it’s a trick 😅. I’m more an NFL fan just enjoy the game and like a few different teams, if I had to pick I’d say tampa would be my team. Love blink, when to see them last year. Thanks mate 👍👊

Charity shops are a waste of time never have anyting in other than the odd Fifa.
