- rhodium plating vs silver. the rhodium finish is going to have a darker look to it and is essentially going to be less maintenance for you to keep up with as far as cleaning it goes. it's all preference and the look you are going for. Gus villa jewelry
Rhodium plating makes it look like quote on quote “white gold” because white gold is usually plated in rhodium
And rhodium looks like stainless steel. Which means you can get "white gold" for cheap. But a great luster and color from regular silver.
Also: It's "quote, unquote". Not "quote on quote".

I know to make the sulution to clean it without polishing very good. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Natural silver for me!
absolutely not😂
Rhodium is the most expensive metal fyi
@@CaIeb1You have terrible taste. 😂
Nahh buddy just want natural’ so do I ‘ you’ll see how rhodium looks after a while’ comparison to natural
@@KalNationnobody cares 😂 this is about the look not the price. Also, getting a chain rhodium DIPPED, doesn’t make your chain any more expensive
None rhodium silver.. the rhodium makes the silver look like stainless steel
That’s actually how white gold looks
@@jamarcusturner I completely agree with you. I vote for sterling silver all day, but I notice most people seem to at least want* gold even if it's some gold plated shit. Silver is where it's at, and as a white man, I always felt like it went better with my complexion than gold. But then I noticed sterling silver looks so good on dark black people. I never understood the appeal of gold compared to silver, what do you think?
Plain silver definitely. Even when it gets tarnished it looks cool. Platinum is dope for durability sake, but it’s got that same darker look as rhodium.
@jamarcusturner stainless and white have a dark hue
@@daniellogansa8101 A lot of people don't know this, but you can actually remove most of the tarnish with a mr clean magic eraser and then just re-polish it.
I like that bright regular silver 👏🏽
Turn the volume up bro
Love silver with that white blueish glow
Regular silver all day long once the rhodium plating starts to fail it will look like hell and will need to be redone
That will happen after 6-7 years minimum at which point you can plate it again. The silver on the other hand will tarnish much faster.
@@ventsislavstefanov9590 but tarnish can always go away
@@ventsislavstefanov9590 No, it can easily take way, way faster for the rhodium to wear off. You typically have to get it replated every 2 or 3 years. Not 6 or 7.
Also, silver tarnish is very easy to clean off. And silver without plating is far more lustrous than rhodium plating on anything.
I like pure silver. Part of what I like about silver is the antiqued look
How would you clean a prism rope chain? I believe it has rhodium plating on the outside for a 2 tone look. Can you use a ultrasonic cleaner?
If it's pure silver just use aluminum foil lined inside a bowl, add very very microwave hot water a tablespoon of salt, and a tablespoon of baking soda stir with a plastic spoon or wooden spoon and then add silver jewelry let sit for 1 to 5 minutes depending on how tarnished and dirty it is. Take it out with some plastic tongs to check on how clean it is if it's clean enough for you then rinse it off with warm water and then dry very well and once dry you can polish it or just wear it. This works so well I know because I use it on my silver. Please do not use tarnish remover chemicals because they will make the silver turn dark really fast just from the air I learned this from wearing silver in my twenties I'm now 60 years old 😵💫. I still like necklaces and bracelets but they don't look so good on me now because of the way I personally look but that's just my opinion. I still wear them from time to time, but thuggish drug addicts is robbing people for stainless steel jewelry and brass jewelry just to resale on the streets to get a 5 dollar high. So be careful everyone some of you may be tough but these bullets that they are shooting is tougher.
Remember Jesus Christ is Lord and in the book of Romans chapter 10 verse 13 says that who ever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved Amen.

Thanks!

Quick question what does rhodium weigh when dipped on a small chain? Would it make it heavier by a gram?
Rhodium the most expensive metal on earth
Expensive and duller and darker than silver is a bad combo. You're essentially buying what looks like sterling silver for 2 or 3 times what silver costed. Probably even more.
Rhodium looks more white gold than silver
White gold is almost always, if not always, plated in rhodium. So, yeah. Of course rhodium plated metal is gonna look like rhodium plated metal.
The natural color of white gold is a pale yellow.
I have a rhodium plated silver chain, I’m wondering does the rhodium wear off after long term use?
How much extra for rhodium? Do you use nickel for underplate
My jeweler charges 60 for my chain I have 14k white gold not silver
Rhodium because it keeps the silver from tarnishing.
Rhodium is a good choice, although if you can avoid sterling silver. Plating gold will ensure the plating to last. Rhodium plating on 18K white gold usually requires replating after 2 years of daily wear. Platinum plating is also valid. There are a few more plating options available.
Thank you
Rhodium looks good plus it's expensive. Looks better quality.
Silver is dope! Simple.
Hello! For. Scratch resistance which is best for plating between rhodium, platinum and palladium? Which plating could not scratch and last long?
Rhodium looks better.💯👍
What size chain is this.I wanted to buy beast but this should be more affordable please tell me the size? Is this size one under beast mode?
Hi I really want to know how does rhodium plating improves silver jewellery lasting time. I mean how long will normal silver last without tarnishing compared to rhodium plated silver. Also does rhodium plated silver looks like white gold or stainless steel?what do you think?
I can help you. Rhodium is going to wear out eventually. But it will last quite a while. I don't like it because it darkens natural sterling silver which I think is extremely pretty when it shines. Silver tarnishing is not a big deal, you CAN remove the tarnish, a lot of people don't seem to realize this. You can literally use mr clean magic eraser, or you could use mr wrights cream with a sponge, or even baking soda mixed with boiling water with the shiny side of aluminum foil inside a bowl or Tarn-x, which I personally think works the best AFTER scrubbing it with Wrights and the sponge it comes with. A lot of people don't even think their silver is real once it turns a little bit black, but that's the oxygen molecules attaching to it, that's normal AND you CAN remove it quite easily. I think rhodium looks closer to stainless steel, which despite people acting like it's so cheap, which it is, also looks nice and will have a nice shine to it. You can't really go wrong with ANY of them, but I vote for sterling silver WITHOUT rhodium. When I didn't understand the differences, I was like why is my chain so dark looking compared to all my other silver which shines so beautiful? It amazes me how expensive Rhodium is, I don't think it does ANYTHING to compliment sterling silver.
Rather not have to need to get my lifetime chain dipped every few years
Rhodium all the way!
Nice
Real plain jain all day rohdium comes off if u were alot
Whats the differnce between rhodium and palladium dip?
Well…there’s not much difference when you wearing it, because of the color what’s not gold.
how much do they cost?
Real question but is 925 Sterling Silver the same as 925 Silver if not what’s the difference n is sterling silver worth anything?
What?
Sterling silver IS 925 silver.
It's 92.5% pure silver. The rest is other metal.
So, sterling silver = 925 silver = 925 sterling silver.
Rhodium tarnish?
I like regular silver because the rhodium will fade off and then chain will look fake
When the rhodium wears off it will just show the underlaying silver , it will still look like real silver lol
What sizes (width) are these?

@@johnlonghorn5856They use more white alloys in the gold mixture, but you're 100% correct about the plating. Because so many people choose white gold wedding bands, it's pretty easy to get silver or gold jewelry replated at most jewelry places.

Regular silver
Natural
silver defo in darker lighting and shadows it looks no different to the rhodium dipped i feel like the white gld rhodium can be easily mistaked for stainless steel
Rhodium plating will look basically the same on any piece. And yes, rhodium looks like stainless steel.
Unplated silver is far, far better. It's in fact the most lustrous metal.
Heads up the video audio was low bro
All silver
I personally like natural silver, but the Rhodium is a boss look, just my opinion.
If anyone understands rhodium, you would choose rhodium over the silver.
Nice comparison video, GUS!
We do understand Rhodium. Rhodium last on a piece of jewelry for 12-18 months. So have fun wasting your money on that shit only for most people to see natural silver and know what it is and assume you are wearing stainless steel lmao
No. If anyone understands rhodium, you'd go with regular silver.
Regular silver offers a better luster, far less maintenance, better price, etc.

Can you ship that to India buddy??
Yes sir but we will have to charge Indian fee. Rhodium
hello,
question. rhodium silver plating vs platinum playting vs palladium plating vs plain stein silver. which last longer and better? please
Rhodium plating looks like stainless steel.
You should honestly just get solid of whatever metal you want, because any plating will wear off eventually.
@@matthewdavis9437 I got a silver with rhodium plated. And it definitely looks different, sounds different and cooler color than stainless steel.
Putting rhodium on any jewelry is like putting a cover on an oil painting. It is the invention from Hell.
How? It makes it better..
Rodium
Rhodium all day
You do know rhodium has gone up to over 9000 per oz since the spread of EV’s & CV-19 affecting the supply chains. There is only a limited amount of it also and it has steadily climbed for the most part and was up to $27500 per ounce during the height of the supply chain problems due to manufacturing (not the jewelry industry). They are only able to get small amounts of Rhodium that is mixed in with the platinum ore at low levels. It does look nice though on jewelry and I hope it goes down in price because I like how it makes silver not tarnish near as easily but with the cost it might become not as feasible to use it on silver jewelry & if prices skyrocket too high even gold & platinum jewelry as well. If he has the chains for a good price still that reflects it (which the cost for labor isn’t even close if you include the Rhodium costs at current market value) that Gus’s chains are prices very very good at the current market value.
@@jeremyk.6456 yessir…I find myself explaining what you typed regularly because many don’t know about rhodium….and to show that you’re absolutely correct….I’m on the market for a 3mm rope (imo the best size)…the one I got as a replacement recently has a much lighter rhodium plating on it (never reached the inner twists) so I knew they were cutting costs industry wise…..Kay has all of their silver rhodium plated so ima wait until Father’s Day sales and get it ($150 v $60 online)…..great comment sir, thanks!
