  • If you're looking for an all metal faucet built to last, then give this model by Kraus a shot. At the time of this review, it's the only faucet I could find on Amazon with no 1 or 2 star negative reviews. Because of the all metal materials, commercial design, and simplicity, it's a fantastic faucet. It currently sells on Amazon for $200 at amzn.to/2eaMqLl

    I have had this faucet for a few months now. According to your video and reviews online, at some point, Krauss added additional water restrictions causing a significantly reduced flow. This greatly impacts the sprayer pressure. To undo this, unscrew the nozzle. gently remove the yellow restrictor. with a fingernail or something similar, gently pry off the bottom cap. You can then do one of two things. either gently remove the blue silicon flap from the top or remove the internal black O-ring from the bottom that you just removed. You could probably leave it out entirely, but the water pressure may be too great for your preferences. Thanks for the video!

    Just got one from Home Depot. Easy to install and the build quality is really nice. I have seen other reviews regarding low water volume but I am not experiencing this. Very satisfied.

    I’ve installed a couple of Kraus faucets. They seem to be nice. I just wonder how to are less expensive than their competitors. The actuator (handle) is meant to be installed on the side. When you pull it toward you it would be cold. This is a safety feature for kids.

      Not if you are looking for all metal... he is wrong... even the plate under the faucet is plastic and the sprayer is plastic made to look metal like all the others. Bought this on his say so it was all metal, but he is wrong. I have written to Kraus asking if they have a metal sprayer I can swap the plastic one with... I will use the plate from my old faucet which IS METAL. Very disappointed in this guys' review... otherwise the faucet looks good... but using the sprayer... which is on a tight spring , may be harder. ALso I see this was two years ago, but others will see this and at least know the truth. PLASTIC sprayer and PLASTIC plate.

    I only wish the docking bar was longer, or extendable to accommodate a larger double sink so the water spay would be more towards the center of the sink bowl.

    FWIW - I installed this faucet - the magnetic collar that is built into the hose cracked and the top catch-collar broke such that it slides back up the hose when you try and mount it - making it impossible to put back into the magnetic catch. I ended up putting a rubber band on the top of the collar to keep it from sliding up the hose. Looks ugly.

      I wonder if they’ve changed the manufacturer or how these are made to save money. When I installed mine years ago, they were very sturdy and I didn’t run into any issues like that.

    Awesome review of the faucet. If manufacturers want to compete with other faucets, they should publish thorough reviews like this one instead of making hollow claims their websites and on the packaging.

    Buddy, I am not busting balls here as I certainly enjoyed the video but I do believe the lever should be on the right side. Back position for hot water, pull towards you for cold. Cheers

    • @Jjcoolstuff
      @Jjcoolstuff  Před 7 lety +1

      +CHRIS D you’re correct that that’s how they designed it to be. However I prefer it up front so it’s easier to reach for my kids and so the water from your hands drips back into the sink and not onto the counter. It’s just personal preference and I’m glad the faucet could accommodate it. Glad you enjoyed the video!

    Thanks for this helpful review! It answers most of my questions. What happens is the water is flowing and the nozzle is not attached the holder? Does the weight of the water cause the nozzle fall into the sink, or does water pressure cause it to wildly flail about?

    • @Jjcoolstuff
      @Jjcoolstuff  Před 6 lety +2

      The spring is pretty stiff and prevents the nozzle from falling into the sink or flailing about wildly. It basically hangs out just below the holder.

      Personally I hate the Home Depot experience. One time i was looking for oil filter for basement heater, checked online that specific location had 20 in stock, ask worker to help find it and guy says we don't have it, didn't even check his smartphone that tells store stock. Wandered around on my own for 20 min and found it down some other aisle. Lowe's is better customer service but out of the way for me. Ace hardware is decent but most of the time i have to order item i want shipped to store anyway since stores are too small to carry big selection.

    • @Jjcoolstuff
      @Jjcoolstuff  Před 5 lety +1

      Thanks! A friend suggested that to me and I thought it was genius. The one downside is that since the handle sticks out over the sink, if you’re rinsing a large item you may accidentally push on the handle and turn the water off. But otherwise I still think that’s the best option.

    • @cfoster6804
      @cfoster6804 Před 5 lety

      @@Jjcoolstuff UPDATE: Installed our Kraus sink and faucet yesterday and it looks great BUT unfortunately our faucet doesn't have the 360 range of motion that yours does. That means we couldn't mount it with the handle in front because the faucet would only hang over into one bowl and would barely turn into the other due to lack of range. Even worse we don't have all of the open space behind our sink that you do so the knob hits the backsplash and doesn't go back all the way so I can't get completely cold water. I just assumed all Kraus faucets in this style had that range of motion. Oh well. I may replace the faucet if I find that it really bothers me.

      I purchased the faucet and it worked great for about 2 weeks then the hot water stopped flowing. I cleaned everything and still.. no hot water flow. I uninstalled it, checked the parts, reinstalled it and the hot water still did not flow and the cold was down to a dribble. I ran to Home Depot and picked up another brand faucet, installed it and it worked perfectly.. It's definitely the Kraus faucet. It's very disappointing. It's a beautiful faucet. I'm just getting around to contacting Kraus over the issue.

      @Jjcoolstuff  Před 5 lety

      Yes, it’s still going strong. The only thing that has changed is the faucet doesn’t change from spray to normal as easily anymore. Just a quick press of the toggle on the handle switches it back though. We’re still very happy with it.

  • @OMGWTFLOLSMH
    @OMGWTFLOLSMH Před 3 lety +1

    Having the sprayer going back to "normal" or stream mode is a deal breaker for me. We prefer spray mode 90% of the time.

    Well I believed you... but NO this faucet is NOT all metal the sprayer just like all the others is plastic, and what's more the included plate is also plastic! (where as my old faucet at least the plate was metal. AGAIN NOT all METAL, Sprayer and plate are PLASTIC covered in metal look crap. Just like dozens of others.... Still, the faucet is under $200 and to get all metal I believe you need to pay twice that, which I am not ready to do. So I will install it using my old metal plate... ... and save up to replace it in a few years with one truly all metal. I should have known better. PLEASE correct the video so others are not led to believe this is all metal, when it's less metal than cheaper faucets!
