Thanks for the video! After watching, I ordered the same mufflers and had them installed. The truck sounds so freakin mean now and absolutely no drone.
Awsome! Good sounding, and cost effective. Thanks for dropping this TRX knowledge, brother. 😆👍
I'm thinking of doing same set up can you please tell me if you get any drone because I had a charger srt and spend so much on the exhaust system it droned like hell and it was corsa and they say 0 drone
@@kocokatalaris1046 under normal driving load there is no drone. But if you’re driving hard there is some minor drone which I would say is common on every exhaust set up.
thank you for your simple video was going slp loud mouth but I'm sold on these thanks !!! when I get bored gt haus with headers but prices sky rocketed
They sound great for the price! I added another video with some fly bys, cold start, warm start, etc if you want some more examples of the sound
Sounds really good. My TRX arrives this month and I am thinking about putting Vibrant 1794s in place of the mufflers. Made my 392 sound fantastic.
Sounds good!!!
Nice video. How do the Carven R compare to the SLP loudmouth muffler?
I haven’t heard the SLP in person so I can’t comment on them. Having used Caven mufflers in the past their quality lead me to use them again on the TRX.
I know this video is over a year old but I have a question.
Did you keep you TRX mufflers?
If yes, would you be interested in selling one or both?
I’m thinking of changing out the muffler on my Rebel GT, and a TRX muffler might just do the trick.
Your TRX sounds awesome with the Carven Rs on it.
Or maybe I’ll just get a Carven R for my Rebel🤔.
Hey brother! So the TRX stock muffler is actually 2 mufflers welded together side by side. Just go with the carven set up for your Rebel. I had the carven progressive on my 2017 Rebel and it sounded great.
@@Wimya thank you for getting back to me. Didn’t realize they are welded together.
I had a Carven Progressive on my 2017 Rebel also, and loved it. Even pulling a trailer from Md to SC, and the exhaust bouncing off of it, back towards the cab, it sounded sweet.
The GT has a little more sound than a regular Rebel, but I’m used to more. Carven R it is. 👍🏽
The problem I’m having with the stock exhaust is the drone noise in the cabin at highway speeds. Can you let me know if it helped with that issue?
I wouldn’t say it’s any louder or quieter than the stock mufflers as far as drone is concerned.
Just got these and he is 100% correct. No drone. It’s loud when you want it loud. It’s not when you don’t.
Does it matter which way the mufflers go in? When you showed the inside one side has that perforated ring. Does that ring go toward front or rear?
The exhaust shop told me it should be installed with the beginning of the logo (the C) towards the cabin.
Just thought I’d let you know. I heard both ways when checking other videos and reviews so I emailed carven. They stated the side with the perforated ring is the inlet so opposite of what your muffler man said. Apparently it doesn’t make much difference tho based on your sound!
@@trxntroll843 oh wow. I’m gonna have to go check which way mine are mounted now lol. I wonder if it really does make any difference.
Have the same truck. Had a carven muffler on my gen 1 raptor and loved it but had drone. So if these dont on the trx, going to grab a set. Do you tow tho? If so, under load is there drone and does the exhaust mask the supercharger??
I don’t tow anything heavy just a light jetski that I hardly feel at all behind the truck so I can’t really comment on how it sounds under a heavier load. I also have a BWoody intake so the supercharger whine is crazy loud.
@Wimya Well like u said it's way better than spending like 2k for a complete system. Dodge did a great job on the exhaust just wish it was a tad louder while driving but also had a quiet start then would be 👌
@@mustangmike3830 I actually met up
With a fellow TRX owner who had the corsa system and he literally though we had the same exhaust at idle.
Sounds good for the price compared to over 1k with little difference.
I had the Loudmouth resonators on my last TRX. They sounded great except for the drone. I am going to order these based on the no-drone comments. Thanks for the video. I will post an update to confirm.
I got these put on a couple days ago and they are PERFECT!
They are everything @Wimya said they were. Loud when you want it and no drone when you don’t.
I had Loudmouth resonators on my last TRX and have these on my new TRX. There is no drone which is hard to believe. But it’s true.
It’s not loud until you want it to be loud. Perfect! Thanks Wimya!
@@thomasembree7134 so is it too loud during wide open throttle?
It’s currently in surgery right now haha
😍🤩
I don’t see links.
Does it drone please if you can let me know I'm about to order these
In my opinion it drones no more than the stock mufflers. It’s just louder under heavy throttle and sounds the same as stock other wise.
Sounds much louder
@@Wimya what’s the step down for those. You mentioned that are mufflers that are a bit more mellow.
@@HVACOG yes the progressive are a bit more tame. I had a progressive muffler on my old Rebel 5.7 and it wasn’t as aggressive as the type R muffler.
@@Wimya did it make a 20% improvement and change in tone? I may go for the performance. I don’t want the Rex to be too loud. Just a bit louder and deeper than stock 😀
Sounds amazing!!! Thanks for the post, I’ve watched almost all exhaust vids I could find and this sounds the best so far without the big price tag. Will definitely add this to my truck!
Thanks!! Carven makes some quality mufflers! And for the price they are very hard to beat
