Hi, can you give me advice which is better to buy: imac 27 2017 or mac mini m1 with cheap 4K monitor (aroud 400$). It's a really hard choice for me, i never had an apple's computer before. M1 is a great perfomance, but imac looks authentic and has a beautifull 5K retina display.
I have a AMD Ryzen Desktop with 3200G and 16GB Ram I with Windows 10and I want to go for Mac Mini M1 because I have iPad 9th Gen and iPhone 13 in my ecosystem. I use it for MS Word, Photoshop,Light Video Editing. I think for 8Gb/256ssd and I can find it for 715€ in Greece. Worth the upgrade or not?
I picked up a refurbished M1 Mini and I really like it. My late 2015 iMac (refurbished) was slowing down a bit too much. I wiped it and gave it to my cousin, who was using an ancient Windows machine and he loves it. Mine does what I need it to do, which is to say surfing, some writing and a few other things. My only regret is not getting the 16 gig model.
I love Apple refurb! When I ordered my M1 I maxed out everything.. 16GB mem.. and 2TB storage.. problem is I use most of that storage on a couple edits and have to move it to an external drive. I also got mine before they upped the Ethernet to 10 gigabit. That was the one thing I wanted so I could plug my NAS right into it and exchange files faster.. 🤦♂️ I was so mad when they added it 6 months after. Sadly, I am doing so much on my Machine and have so much open I am maxing out the 16GB of memory and some stuff is crashing. I have to be careful what I leave open. I ordered the Mac Studio but it won’t be here till Sept..
@@techexamined Wow. I knew editing and videos stuff required a lot of resources but DANG! You filled 2 TERABYTES?? I remember when I had my first computer and a buddy said I should get a 512 meg HD. I was like "I'll never need that much!" Man, how times have changed! LOL
Lol.. Yeah… it’s not for everyone… I’m just trying to keep people engaged so they don’t get board… I will be testing other style to see what works… I appreciate the feedback.

I can say Im using the Base model with my music DAW, 2 monitors, Davinci no issues, ;-)

@@billiamnotbob HAHAHA… the good old days… when I bought this I thought 2 TB was more than enough…. I need to stop shooting in Raw.. 🤣🤣
