I love the stone piece, you could always use some dark or antique wax over the paint. It would give you the varying colors you wanted❤

If you're not totally happy with the "stone" dish, use some white wax and then antiguing wax....I do that and it looks like concrete. Great projects!

I used the tan colored stone spray paint on my brown iron dining room chandelier. I found if you spay it too heavy it gets really wet and the stone doesn't stay. What I ended up doing was do like 3 light coats very light. Let it dry in between. It came out beautiful! I draped strings of unfinished beads to it. Look modern and brand new!

I think the cake stand would have looked good if you did the stone spray paint and then a matte white spray paint over it so that the texture of the stone came through but then it was all one color if that makes sense
