TWO Class 43 HSTs RACING at Manors Station: EAST COAST MAIN LINE Trainspotting

- Manors Station is just north of Newcastle Central Station, this was filmed when Class 91s and the Class 43 HSTs were working the long distance services between Edinburgh Waverley and London Kings Cross for London North Eastern Railway.
There also a Varity of locomotives and multiple Units including the Class 142 Pacer Train and the LNER Azumas which were on test but the highlight is seeing a LNER Class 43 HST chasing a Network Rail HST into Manors Station.

Manors is certainly a great place to watch a few trains .. totally unmanned so nobody to bother you.
I live only a few miles away, at Whitley Bay, so it is easy to travel to Manors, on The Metro.

When was this filmed? We (in MML land) got a lot of the ex LNER HSTs. We unfortunately had 180s for a while too. All gone now. Some more missed than others!
Does Manors National Rail station get used a lot or is it still the least used station in Newcastle. Lovely shot.
Think it still least used as there a Metro Station a vert short distance from Manors Station, the new station figures come out this Thursday as well.
