A very good explanation, thank you so much ! we are waiting for other videos in this field !
there is no such video explanation like this on a grid-connected inverter. elaborated explanation, constructive and sequential manner explanation.. thank you sir
Thank you for the nice feedback.
excellent video, thank you for your sharing, professor! I will keep following your subjects. Respect from a Chinese student.
Thank you for the nice comments.
wow this is an outstanding presentation of this. And you included a modelling technique... great job man
Thanks for the nice feedback !
Thank you very much for sharing the information really needed most these days.
Thank you for your kind feedback. 🙏
Awesome, you’re a very good explainer 😃
Thank you for the nice comment !
Tricky part of PWM output filter design is the dampening required when loads are switched off/on and when load has high crest factor with pulsing high current peaks.
Sets PWM filter ringing.
See Video_7_Interlocks for strategies to enable the inverter appropriately.
Thank you very much sir for this beautiful video......your explanation and clarity is awesome.....thank you very much for sharing it with us....
Glad to be of help ! Thank you
Thank you sooooo much!

Many thanks. one question: if we want to connect the inverter to a 4 wire grid side, is it necessary to have a star/delta transformer with star grounded to get neutral point? can we use DC bus midpoint as neutral instead of transformer?
Or you can implement a 3ph + N grid coupling; you will need four legs !
Very powerful explanation. Please i which to model the grid tie inverter in state space. Can you help me with a video link for that. Thank you
Thank you for your feedback. Unfortunately, I have no plans for a video on grid convertor control using state-space methods.
Thank you sir for your videos! I have a question if we connect the 3Ph inverter direct to the Grid without any Passiv filter, would be a current flow from the Inverter to the Grid? ( the Grid alone is for the inverter like an L+R : so theoretically we dont need filter for the energie flow ?)
For a strong grid, the grid inductance is very small. The current will become uncontrollable in practice. Anyway, you have to take care of the ripple on the current. You can connect a 3ph inverter directly to a motor: the motor inductance is high enough to control the current and the current riple is not an issue.
Great video, I am designing a grid following inverter. for that i want to design the PLL considering 5% of 3rd harmonics at 150Hz and 5% of negative sequence. But i don't know how i can play with my PLL to make it such. I have used SRF PLL which controls the current.
Thank you for your comment and feedback. You will some Information on PLLs in later videos. Best regards.
Sir, Thank you so much for these wonderful videos... Will you kindly share the links for downloading the related MATLAB file folders
Thank you for the feedback. Unfortunately, the slides and code are only for ECAM students. I hope you understand.
@@frankydebruyne9842 Ok Sir
Thanks sir for wonderful videos. Sir how I can make state space model of inverter with spwm.
Thank you for the feeedback. From a control point of view, the inverter model is not necessary. The duty cycle can be computed from the the average inverter voltage produced by the algorithm as is shown in the videos (control perspective). You will find inverter models in the literature. I hope this is helpful.
Sir, your lectures are very interesting. Where I can get access for further information about your lectures
Thanks for the feedback. Unfortunately the slides are for ECAM students only. I hope you understand. Regards.
I am not so clear about getting the transfer function for the VSI. can you help me
There is a transfer matrix for the LCL filter: see 49:00
The inverter is "modeled" using the very simple law linking the average Vinv to the duty cycle: see 44:00
The controller produces a Vinv (see later videos) and this has to be translated to a duty cycle using this simple law.
I hope this helps.
Please can you inform me how can i control the magnitude and phase angle of the fault current output from inverter interfaced renewable energy
Thanks in advance
Control is considered in the next videos. But the application is grid coupling and faults currents are not considered.
@@frankydebruyne9842 thanks a lot Dr
A very good Thank you very much, Sir where have you the link of the zip file thnks a lot
Thank you for your feedback. Slides and other material are only for ECAM students. I hope you understand.
Hello sir i need this book please
The slides are only for ECAM students. I hope you understand.
I think equation for ippmaxL2 (37:43) is wrong the modulus is : 1/|1 - L*C*Wsw^2| 😁😁
Right ! Thank you for your input. The correction is in the link below.
