Dani you have to go on the Bob Seger journey.. He feels every word he sings amd you will to.
It's hard to believe that this song is 44 years old! Ok 43 and a half. AH, Those were great times to be alive! ROCK ON!! Jeff
It's one of the rare exceptions to the rule that the older something is, the less cool and fun it is.
With you getting up and dancing, that was the effects of that old time rock and roll. The music gets into your bones and will not allow you to sit still. Loved your reaction
Like Scott said, came out late 70's as the Disco craze was rampant ~ Bob had been on the music scene a long time before this, but didn't get his national breakout until '75/'76 with his Live Bullet and Night Moves albums, although he had some previous regional hits ~ His earlier stuff was much rawer, edgier Detroit garage rock than his more commercial success in the late 70's onward ~ Truly one of the best voices of rock and a legend of live, no one put on a better live show than Bob and the band, I saw him live 13 times including Rock Super Bowl VIII ~ 18 studio and 2 live albums, plus a few compilations, you've got a lot more to explore when it comes to Bob!!!
Thanks for the memories! My late husband and I in 1981 played the cassette that had his music on it. In a convertible with the top down on our way to get married. It was thrilling and I've never forgotten it.
There goes Boogie Dani, I use to play this at the club for the people who always request it to dance to. Also this song came out in 1978 on the album Stranger in Town and was realesed in 79 on a single and then again in 1983 with the release of Risky Business movie with Tom Cruise.
Bob Seger is amazing! So many fantastic songs! Been a fan since the 70s. ♥️🎼🎵🎶🇨🇦
I enjoyed the way you really got into Bob's music. He's one of my all time favorite artists. Just about any song you pick by him is going to be great. Cheers, Steve
Great reaction. I have to agree that this song, like rock and roll itself, is timeless!
By far one of my favorite reactions
Today it's Rock N Roll time, Bob Seger is great!
I just came out of a 32 year coma yesterday, and this morning I heard this for the first time! Loved it!
I saw mr. Segar several times in the 70's. Great singer, song writer and entertainer. Loved your reaction. Bob seger doesn't have a bad song. One of the greats.
It's SEGER NOT SEGAR!
Seger will never let you down. You mentioned putting "Shame on the Moon" on your road trip play-list; for that particular play-list I would recommend checking out "Roll Me Away." You won't regret it.
I know it soothes my soul to see you rock-out to some Bob Seger!!! Great Reaction Dani!!!
This is one of my most favorite songs of rock and roll. I wasn't thinking anything one way or the other about the person sing it I just love the way the song goes. It just puts u in the mood for dancing as well as listen to the song.
There's no way you could watch that video of SEGER singing old time Rock n roll and not think about the guy who wrote and singing It !
Bob Seger rocks!
this is another one of the songs I never get tired of hearing or playing. Growing up with the r&r of the 50s 60s 70s I love the energy in the music; side note - check out the video of Bob with Bruce Springsteen doing this in 2011. 40 some years after writing Bob is still belting it out with a big smile
Call me a relic, call me what you will. Gotta love it!!! Thanks Dani. Well done.
Loved your reaction, Bob Seger is brilliant, please do more of his music, "Turn the Page" is one of his best.
Even Now
Hollywood Nights
Roll Me Away
The Famous Final Scene
Night Moves
Sunspot Baby
Mainstreet
Like A Rock
Travelin' Man/Beautiful Loser (Live)
and so many more!
Fun fact: This was one of the most popular songs ever on jukeboxes. Second only to "Crazy" by Patsy Cline.
Bob is a phenomenal vocalist and amazingly gifted songwriter. You can't miss on his first few big albums starting with Beautiful Loser! He has at least ten years worth of amazing songs.
Seger has never written a bad song.
Never sang a bad 1 Either!
Seger has a huge catalog of hits and Bob will get you up on ur feet for sure.
Still the Same is my favorite song by Bob.
I lived in Saint Louis, Missouri back in the 70's and Bob performed a concert at the Arena there and you are right, It was a FUN concert. He brought the house down with that Old Time Rock and Roll song. Glad you enjoyed it.
St Louis area now too. Live Bob Seger is probably the best rock band performance I've ever seen. And I've see a lot, use to be in the concert biz and got to work with these guys at least once, that I remember. Brain cells can't retain every show I was at, way too many. Went to Blues games at "the barn" as a kid. Even played hockey there once in high school. That place was something else.
This song came out in 1978. Love it. I miss the old music.
This years marks the 50th anniversary of the release of Don Maclean's song American Pie. The acapella group Home Free got together with Don and covered the song, and it's swirling around in the Tube here somewhere. As cover songs go, it's one of the tightest I've ever heard and it's worth hearing, maybe even reacting to. ciao
Listen to his :Roll Me Away, Hollywood Nights, Watch Her Strut, Like A Rock...lots more of his genius in singing & writing.
I watched the video twice lol cool to see Dani getting down with Bob Segar song lol
I love the fact I am your first viewer love reactions to music specially Elvis Presley. Love your voice and hope you are having beautiful day
Turn the page and night moves should be next!
I was just thinking exactly the same!
Great reaction Dani! I love it and find myself playing it over and over.🌟
Hi 1978 long time ago makes me remember the good 👍 old days lol 😂
Good times!
Hey Dani! Good to see you are recovering from your fall!
Dani thank you for reacting to my request. I am glad you enjoyed the Song.
You'd probably also like The Heart of Rock and Roll by Huey Lewis and the News.
Love this song I have on my I phone lol.
Bob is right.
Today's music ain't got the same soul.
Dani,. Segar was responsible for the eagles becoming who they became. Mostly their talent but he was a mentor for Glen Frey.. Boogie Dani for the win.😁. Love ya girl.
Bob Seger has a writing credit on "Heartache Tonight" which was an Eagles tune.
Bruh this dude sounds so good live wtf😂
He does but this is just the studio version overlaid on a live video
Bob Seger is incredible. Not a huge fan of this specific song but I always check out your reactions.
You must have a listen to Bob's "Get Out Of Denver". Breakneck speed and really clever lyrics.
i love dancing to this song
Thanks for the react to Old Time Rock N Roll. It remember when I was in my thirty. Thanks for making feel good!
Classic and iconic scene where Tom Cruise dances to this song in the film "Risky Business" (1983). Cruise is probably 20 years old in this clip. I saw this movie in the theater with my brother-in-law because I wasn't old enough to get into Rated R movies.
Thanks dani . He is right about music and soul
So cute of a review!!!!
Really like Bob Seger “Roll me Away”
Listen to Hollywood Nights, Roll Me Away, his songs are all great
Great one
Chris Norman and Suzi Quatro "stumblin' In
Hey Miss Dani. So today is Bob Seger day? This song is so uplifting and fun. I love it. Great dance moves mate. I think we all would love to see you copy Tom Cruise’s crazy scene mate, and dance around your house in a baggy shirt and bobby socks. (Ha,Ha) That would be funny. Loved your comments. Great choice by the way. Stay safe.See ya.👍☮️🌹❤️❤️😁🇦🇺🤪

Gracias
Never cared too much for this song. IMO, "Rock and Roll Never Forgets", a song he wrote (unlike this one) is a much better tune.
Bob Segar was talented in putting out formulaic, pop music. And that is it. I do not find that interesting.
u love nothing , u are a rookie ok? hey try undestand the rock , this will be a great moment kkkkkkkk,
