Thank you, Anne! It was so much fun to do!
I wish you could have a list of products you used or show them as you go.
Thanks for the feedback, Anastasiya. I didn't list the individual products because many will be discontinued quickly (as is typical in the crafting world), instead I gave a general description of what I used so that viewers can find similar products that suit their needs. The purpose was to demonstrate ways to use the paper mache letters themselves. I can give you a quick overview of what was used though. Each letter used a 3D Art Philosophy Matte Gel medium as an adhesive and basic white acrylic craft paint. The "A" has a piece of Vicki Boutin pre-made mixed media style scrapbook paper on it, "R" has Prima flowers in multiple sizes and packs, "T" has Wow gold glitter, "S" has resin flowers in a variety of sizes, colors, and styles (mostly from Ebay sellers in China), and the "Y" has Jane Davenport tissue paper. I hope that helps!
what do you use as a top layer ? Love this lively tutorial*
No top layer needed! These have held up really well over time.
Love this ❤️❤️ quick question I love the finish glossy look on top but you said you don’t recommend mod podge do you recommend something else for that glossy look at the end?
Thank you
Gloss gel medium should work! I used matte gel medium on these.
Hi. This is beautiful. How many flowers do you think I’ll need to cover a 30 inch letter ?
Thank you! It really depends on the letter you choose. I used about 30 flowers of varying sizes on this 8 inch letter, hope that helps!
I love your work,l have a lot of beans do you think I can do something nice for a little girl’s room, I plan to decorate her name with wood letters.
Yes! I think these artsy letters would work perfectly in a little girl's room, so long as she can't reach them to take it apart.
Hi! I’m sorry I couldn’t hear what you said you were sealing the letters with…did you say jesso? Lol
3-D Matte Gel Medium was what I used. Hope that helps!
Hi is this mache letters are free standing?
Yes, they can be set on a shelf. I chose to hang mine on the wall, but they do stand up depending on how heavy the items you decorate them with add to the front.
How do you hang on the wall with out damaging
