The fastest military transport helicopter in the world is the CH-47F Chinook, which has a top speed of around 170 knots (196 mph or 315 km/h) and a cruising speed of about 150 knots (173 mph or 278 km/h). The Chinook is a twin-engine, heavy-lift helicopter that is primarily used by the United States Army and other armed forces for transporting troops, supplies, and equipment.
While the Chinook is not as fast as some dedicated attack helicopters, it is specifically designed to carry heavy loads over long distances and can operate in a wide range of environments and conditions. Its speed and range make it a highly effective platform for military transport, humanitarian aid, disaster relief, and other missions that require rapid deployment of personnel and equipment. I will change of title to "Fastest Military Transport Helicopter In The World", just for clarification. Thank you for bringing that to my notification.

Just for further clarification, The fastest military helicopter in the world is the Eurocopter X3 (also known as Airbus Helicopters X3), which has a top speed of 293 mph (472 km/h). However, it is important to note that the Eurocopter X3 is a hybrid demonstrator that combines the vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) capabilities of a helicopter with the speed and maneuverability of a fixed-wing aircraft, and it is not currently in military service.
Among helicopters currently in military service, the fastest is the Russian Mi-35M attack helicopter, which has a top speed of around 208 mph (335 km/h). The Mi-35M is a heavily armed and armored variant of the Mi-24 helicopter, which has been in service with the Russian military and other countries for several decades.

I remember riding in one in Honduras. The pilot was flying the path of a river through the jungle, and we were going very fast. This big beast would make sharp banks left and right as it followed low over the river, staying on the path. I always knew these things were fast, but not that they could gracefully maneuver at speed. Watching out the back was awesome! It's a ride I will never forget!!

A Chinook just flew over my house in Chandigarh, India. Have to say it looks and sounds like a deadly machine. The two rotors look very fascinating. It FEELS like the sound of the one at the front comes before the second and it kind of makes a Dual sound (The sound of the First rotor partly overlaps the Second) and Have to say I got mesmerized by its Looks!

I love the chinook helicopter, and I even seen a chinook pilot stick his hand 🤚 out of the window of her face(glass cockpit)

I had troops on top of Nui Ba Dinh in Vietnam. For a year we had to use a Chinook to go up there because it is a multi-engine hele. My next-to-last day in country my battalion commander and I went there in. Loach. Small single engine 4 seater.
