It's not the fastest military helo, that honour belongs to the westland lynx.
The fastest military transport helicopter in the world is the CH-47F Chinook, which has a top speed of around 170 knots (196 mph or 315 km/h) and a cruising speed of about 150 knots (173 mph or 278 km/h). The Chinook is a twin-engine, heavy-lift helicopter that is primarily used by the United States Army and other armed forces for transporting troops, supplies, and equipment.
While the Chinook is not as fast as some dedicated attack helicopters, it is specifically designed to carry heavy loads over long distances and can operate in a wide range of environments and conditions. Its speed and range make it a highly effective platform for military transport, humanitarian aid, disaster relief, and other missions that require rapid deployment of personnel and equipment. I will change of title to "Fastest Military Transport Helicopter In The World", just for clarification. Thank you for bringing that to my notification.
Just for further clarification, The fastest military helicopter in the world is the Eurocopter X3 (also known as Airbus Helicopters X3), which has a top speed of 293 mph (472 km/h). However, it is important to note that the Eurocopter X3 is a hybrid demonstrator that combines the vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) capabilities of a helicopter with the speed and maneuverability of a fixed-wing aircraft, and it is not currently in military service.
Among helicopters currently in military service, the fastest is the Russian Mi-35M attack helicopter, which has a top speed of around 208 mph (335 km/h). The Mi-35M is a heavily armed and armored variant of the Mi-24 helicopter, which has been in service with the Russian military and other countries for several decades.
I owe my life to a Chinook crew in Afghanistan. This is the greatest helicopter ever built. There is nothing that it cannot do.
Living about 30 miles from a military base we see all kinds of military planes and helicopters. You always know when a Chinook is flying over, it has the distinctive sound for sure.
I lived near an air force base. It was like having a private air show.
@@patarcher1813 lucky you! My ultimate dream machine is the Chinook 😉

Lucky you💓
2:50 - Ah! I remember those days when we used to have to hang out the ammo to dry. None of those new fangled ammo washers and dryers.
As a kid I bought a toy helicopter. I was excited cuz it had 2 rotors. Then my grandfather told me that it's Chinook model,World's fastest helicopter. My grandfather is no more but those memories are still with me
My grandfather told me "you have to take care of number 1 to take care of everyone else"
Two of these just flew over my house. It was pretty cool to witness.
I've seen it yesterday flying by in England. Never seen anything like it. I stood there like hypnotised looking at this beast!
Nice is saw a couple along with some apaches
I flew D models in the 101st. Been a long time. Those formation shots brought back great memories. Thank you!
Stunning & still holding my breath every time I watch your vids, thank you for sharing🇺🇸
I remember riding in one in Honduras. The pilot was flying the path of a river through the jungle, and we were going very fast. This big beast would make sharp banks left and right as it followed low over the river, staying on the path. I always knew these things were fast, but not that they could gracefully maneuver at speed. Watching out the back was awesome! It's a ride I will never forget!!
My uncle Captain Donald B Skiles (Major in the reserve) was a pilot on the Chinooks. He flew the wounded and dead out of Korea and Vietnam. Carrier man. Very proud of him.!!
A Chinook just flew over my house in Chandigarh, India. Have to say it looks and sounds like a deadly machine. The two rotors look very fascinating. It FEELS like the sound of the one at the front comes before the second and it kind of makes a Dual sound (The sound of the First rotor partly overlaps the Second) and Have to say I got mesmerized by its Looks!
Iam here after reading the hindu newspaper yes it will be installed in chandigarh first
jai hind bhai
😂 😂 Ya all cse geeks
Yes sir me also chadigharh
When you have 3 or 4 or more of these together in unison it sounds like they’re going to war!
Wonderful characteristic sound the Chinook has, superb ship, thanks for sharing this.
I had the pleasure of watching this aircraft fly over our ranch and head for Lemoore Naval Air Base! God bless the military 🙏🇺🇸

Spectacular Pictures, Mr.Gung Ho👍🏻
One flew over my house and I was like “what the heck is that???”
linda stonier one flew over my house this morning making my windows rattle. That's why I'm on here watching videos of them 🤣
linda stonier I remember when we were preparing for a hurricane a few years ago they flew the national guard up here in Massachusetts there was a huge formation of these flying fast and low it was nuts
They flew hueys near my house a while back.
It's an intimidating sound and sight for sure
They are sooo fucking loud it's unbelievable
Thanks to the good folks of the 101st AVN BDE for being my taxi during my time in The Stan. You folks rock. Danged 47, though. From the back, she feels like she's flying every direction at once. Weird sensation.
I know what you are talking about. I rode in the back of one when I was with the 101st. It was a weird sensation for sure. Hard to believe they are still using them after 55 years. A good design like the C47.

That bird took me from BIAP to FOB DIWAYNIYA when the Polish were there in in Sept 2008. Thanks for the safe ride!
What a beautiful design done by Vertol. Saw this bird first time in phantom comics as a child long before television and fancy magazines reached my place.

COD 4 made me love the look of the Chinook, and this video a makes me love it even more.
COD 4 didn’t have Chinooks. It was the CH-46 Sea Knight.
Thank you LOBO Air for taking me too-and-from Kandahar to FOB Lagman. On the back a little scary flying thru a valley. Your the best! Thank you.
Chad, I was at FOB Laghman from OCT 12 - MAR 13. Nice and quiet there. No drama there! Missed playing basketball in the back conex area during Thanksgiving Day! The DFAC there was great there too! :o

Brilliant
I loved when these would fly over my house you knew what it was by the sound 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
In the north of ireland this was the sound of an occupying army chinookin over ye homestead. Admire the machine, but mixed feelings
Nice one
After being out in the cold, walking up that ramp onto a waiting chinook and getting the hot blower treatment from the exhausts is fantastic.
I went to AIT at Ft. Eustis Virginia in 1982 then the MOS was 67U10 or flight mechanic on these beast & became a crew chief after a few years. Looking back now I had one of the best jobs in the Army. From personal experience these bad boys flat haul the mail.
Mad respect from India
Hell yeah. We stand with you, our dear ally and friend. 🇺🇸🇮🇳

Mankind amazes me in every way possible. Imagine all these 100 years back while riding your camel in the middle of a desert.
Great helicopter
I flew a Boeing Chinook HC4 in Iraq and Afghanistan I was stationed at RAF Benson for a while
Wow cool I wish I could
My friend and her team were leaving Iraq in them but they heard reports of Chinooks being shot and shot at from the ground by militia. Loaded helicopter with troops but there was such a silence...
That had to fun to fly.
💪
You lucky guy, very much envy your time with these fabulous aircraft....
Mankind, that's a versatile flying chopper alright. Hope we still have a lot of them.
An Army CH-47 Chinook Helo landing on the flight deck of a Navy vessel while underway is soooo motivating!! Ahhh, the awesome sauce professionalism of Joint Services Operations!!🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🗽🗽🗽🗽🗽🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅⚡🔥💥💀
B Co 101 Avn . 1979. US Army Avn still looking good. Nice job

I owned A Model 66-19051 in Vietnam. Last I heard she was an E Model at Ft Bragg after tours in Afghanistan. I wonder if she's been through the F Model program yet. And, yeah, during the rare times we needed gun cover from the Cobras it was a real PITA to have to slow down for them.
Is this a badass drill of some sort?
It looks like a bus wearing beanies. My god those mountains are beautiful.
I remembered here in the caribbean they used these chinook to carry out an operation called weed eater they were fascinating to look at.
The home of the Brave
And the Land of the Free!
This is the best air transport for soldiers.
I just seen two of these fly over my house very low. Cool to see!!

oof, i'm having a flashback when i was 17, me and my twin brother watching Battle Los Angeles, where chinook flew over the beaches and the war zone, just to land safely to the HQ main base, it really brings back memories to me and my brother, so we played Blackhawk Rescue Mission on Roblox, like an actual movie games X3

Excelente helicoptero! Saludos de argentina!👍
What is the external rack on the port side for?
Us Dutch fly the D since the 90's being the first in Europe with this capability we have one of the best special forces around here. Now ordered the new F to replace the D..We where ahead of the US once, first with total digital cockpit before the US had them. Now Germany, France and England wants the F version to for their special forces, together with new Apache E every "enemy" thinks twice ..Seen the Chinooks a few times , most awesome heli ever ! Not only for war, but also a formidable firefighter !
Yes, fly safe American hero's. Thank you for serving our country and preserving our freedom.🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Mh53 or ch53 and the chinook two big mean helicopters.. but the pavelow in my opinion due to looks May edge the chinook but the chinook is sick ... love them both glad they’re on my side.
Je dis bravo aux ingénieurs physiciens à l'industrie. Vos oeuvres sont vraiment utiles, encore plus rapides.

I flew Chinook in Vietnam two tours with the 147th hillclimbers. Magnificent helicopter
Three of these just flew over my house
nice........
Thanks for sharing guys awesome video be safe out there
You are mindless person
Good sir.
I was a hydraulic repairman and the first time I fixed all the hydraulic leaks in a Chinook the pilots refused to fly it because they thought the hydraulic system was dry
You know the saying “if it ain’t bleeding don’t get in it”
That’s the edited version. You must be the first tech alive to cure all her ailments.
I saw a Chinook helicopter fly by where at work at in Alpharetta ga, saw it outside our window in warehouse today
I have good ears I can identify this helicopter without seeing it just hearing it
piekne maszyny - wiecej prosze wyswietlen ?
I use to wander how the engines sitting on the outside powered the rotors drove me nuts had to look it up never noticed the shafts coming out of the front of the engine's going to the transmissions Ahh my minds at ease now wonderful aircraft.
MARAVILHOSO VÍDEO , MAQUINA FANTÁSTICA , PAU PRA TODA OBRA.
I love the chinook helicopter, and I even seen a chinook pilot stick his hand 🤚 out of the window of her face(glass cockpit)
I had troops on top of Nui Ba Dinh in Vietnam. For a year we had to use a Chinook to go up there because it is a multi-engine hele. My next-to-last day in country my battalion commander and I went there in. Loach. Small single engine 4 seater.
The check list must be an entire encyclopedia.
Can this chopper handle direct fire from a light machine from a ground?.. is it bullet proof? just curious to know. Thanks.
The Shithook... a versatile, dependable aircraft.
Welcome to India u beauty 💓💓
They still smelled worse than my C-130. Lots of love
