Geri is always my favorite, it's interesting to see Victoria and Geri's friendship. The two most gorgeous, smart, sexy, hot and fashionable in the band. They can be a rival in the group but both are sweet and kind and never had a jealousy to each other.
They were all great, that's why they were special.

It's very interesting to see that Geri (being the most outgoing of the group) kept in touch with all of them after the band ended.
She probably felt Guilty once she say back and looked at how everything played out. I think she as the oldest had insight and matured faster and knew when it was getting to be too much but didn't know how to express it to them so she just left

The other girls asked “Were you gutted? ARE you gutted?” Glass closet, everyone knowing is absolutely right. The Older album pretty much made it clear without him outrightly saying it. But more importantly can we talk about Victoria saying to Geri “you must have been STUPID not to know” right after?! They’re talking about it like it already IS public knowledge and I absolutely love it!!

@@Irishgui83 I don't blame her for leaving. Watching all these interviews and behind-the-scenes footage, Mel B and Mel C were total bitches to Geri. Emma seemed to be the only nice one. Granted they were joking around sometimes, but most of the time they seemed genuinely nasty.

At that point I think she wanted to invite her(one year before the wedding) but after the David Beckham scandal happened and Geri didn't call her she decided she doesn't want her at her wedding which is fair enough. I don't think she lied, she just changed her mind.

You know, you kinda see something building up here. You can see Geri slowly furthering herself from her silly Ginger image, venturing intro talking about serious issues in interviews and the girls making fun of that. I can see why she didn't feel encouraged to do her cancer spokesperson thing. Watching early '98 interview is so interesting, you can see the 'Ginger' washing away from her perosnality.

The only thing that's different when it comes to these both Spice Girls; they're older & wiser. Through 26 years in showbiz, they developed their true identities; of course they're different today compared when they first started as a girl group. They made mistakes when they were younger like we all are.
Victoria was molded and shaped to fit a specific role, that was being the very “posh, never really smiles, intimidating, dare I even say “bitchy” type toll in the Spice Girls.
Victoria was told what to be like and howto act, even in Spice World, she still keeps up that image because that was the part she was told to play.
Back when the Spice Girls were everything and everywhere, when my father waited on a K&B toys line for over four plus hours just to try and get a spice doll for me (got me baby spice and Ginger Spice, thought I didn’t care, whatever he got I was very happy with.)
I also went to see their concert minus Ginger Spice, and I collected those lollipops, lol.
My point is, Victoria was very young and at a time where social media wasn’t even a figment of someone’s imagination.
We only got glimpses of Vic, and when we did sh was acting/filling a role set forth by her team and managers. It’s not like today where stars can actually socialize and have direct conversation with fans through IG, Tiktok, snap, etc.
This is why the old quote about first appearances mean a lot is an excellent example, still till this day those who grew up in the spice girl era just cannot dissociate Victoria fro, Posh, and they still feel a little intimidated about her, even though she’s clearly hilarious, smiles a lot, joking and being funny, we were brainwashed something pretty different and it unfortunately does stick.
Very interesting. I was about 30 when they got famous. Was not a big fan, but I always liked them. Geri Halliwell was nice, and plump in her 20s, and so cute.
They love each other that’s all that matters.
I don't know where I read it, but who cares about Vic's 'class', Geri is perfect and special the way she is!! Without her there would have been no Spice Girls like without Victoria!!!

Is it just me, or does it feel like Victoria changed when Geri left? The way she talks comes across as a bit colder and methodical in the subsequent interviews.
She was clearly hurt by how Geri left. At first she was just sad, after a while she got a bit over that, and a while later she got really cold. I believe that transition was around the time when she had lunch with geri and geri informed paparazzi. I believe she wasn’t that fond of what Geri did around that time.
Geri was the positivity ambassador for the group. I think without her there there was no one to really lift them up on the bad days. They all seemed a liitle miserable after she left

Why was their recent live comeback concerts,not profesionally recorded, with a director and producer, the home recording clips are only just passable, the sound recording on these phones is very poor, hardly a word can be heard properly

Those are the reasons some of them have given. Some of them say they regret it now.
