- Towing a Dodge Charger that has been in a garage since the mid 80's, has been bought and is on its way to a restoration. This car is a 440, 4-speed and Dana equipped R/T. There's just SO much 80's going on with this car. Towing this car was a religious experience.
Nice looking car great find, second paint job car was red. Engine is painted orange suppose to be turquoise, so engine was probably out if original, Distributor is automatic transmission as if real 4 speed car was cast iron dual point. Kickdown linkage is blue so from another engine and return spring and bracket are wrong. If your looking for originality and never had 440 magnum on valve cover's. Can't tell what ball shift knob is look's like dodge truck from the 80's. Unbeilevable it still has the original wheel well chrome
Cool charger..always liked the 68s
I've always been into the B bodies. specially 68-70...
@@OutlawMercenary I had 68 R/T MY EX WIFE WRECKED IT IN 1986 ....
@@ronclaman156 Key phrase, ''EX''-wife.....that'll teach her to wreck stuff....
@@OutlawMercenary yes I believe it what headed us in ending it LOL
That would be sweet parked next to my 2022 hellcat charger.
Good stuff here. Where did you get your music if I can ask? Corvette Dan
like we talked about, most of it is copyrighted, but the owners allow its use.....just downloads......stuff ive bought over the years from i tunes and other sources...
@@OutlawMercenary Got it.
Nice!!!
Sounds like you got a real gem! That's great.
Awesome Finder wonderful looking car I've got the same kind of car only in 70 and the same color combination ,,Anda that is a very very good start!! good times coming with that one!!
I will assume that was never driven in snow. Super clean survivor. Get rid of of the valve covers and tach unless it was an option...?
ya, looking back, drilling holes or running screws into the dashpad for that tach is a regrettable move.......
Cool charger!! Is it for sale? I’m from Brazil and I’m looking one.
I was just transporting it for the new owner.....
Great find!
Amazing save
Holy crap, what a FIND! Take my money! No really, how much would you like for it?
I was just doing the transporting....the owner plans a complete restoration....what a score for that guy!!!
Time capsule from the 80's ?? You meant 1968.🤫🤫
i see what you mean, but no....i meant the 80's, as in this car totally screams the typical ''day 2'' early 80's hints of that era, like the air freshener with the chick with the ''big hair''......the fire extinguisher bolted to the dashboard, The tach bolted to the top of the dash, i mean sure, its a 68 Charger, but this car looks like it lived the best years of its life in the late 70's early 80's, and there are little hints all over the car......like a lot of cars like this that were bought up cheap in the mid to late 70's/early 80's, by young guys just out of high school, after the gas crisis and the ins co's almost killing them all off.....a person could buy any of these cars off the original owner for $1000-$2000 and be a rock star. This car took me back to that post high school late 70's early 80's time frame. Wish i was buying it instead of just towing it.
Is it for sale ?
I was towing it for the new owner.....
@Outlaw Mercenary thanks
The new Charger is an abomination
Not as big of an abomination as the electric cars that are going to replace them
New Charger is a awesome car for anything new..Even the new Mustang,Camaro is an abomination of the 60's and early 70's versions..Hell new Lincolns are crap compared to the older 70's and older versions!
Many felt the same about the return of the Charger in 2006.
Nice charger. If you were interested in selling the old Firestone I would be interested .I buy old tires like that only if they are 15s tho. I live in ill
