  • Bobby Fischer is one of the greatest players to have played chess! His opponent was the famous Samuel Reshevsky. The game took place at the US championships in 1958. It promised to be a lip smacking encounter! Fischer opened with 1.e4 and Reshevsky played the Dragon! Guess what? The game was over in just 10 moves!
    Why did Sagar choose this game for his trap of the day? Check out the video to know the reason!

    The Sicilian Dragon is replete with traps ... the Yugoslav attack is theoretical until the late middle game. What I love about these 'trap' videos, Saagar, is that you demonstrate over the board. Your Zagreb-style pieces are well crafted indeed.

    Not to nitpick, but, It seems like the black can play 15...Rf3 to delay by one move in 14...Kh5 variation after 15.Qd1 check. Cleaner would be 15. Qg2, mate next move. Amazing game though.

    In my opinion Na5 isn't so much of a blunder as it is ambitious on black's part. I think the actual blunder is to not follow up with Nxb3 and instead try to play the atrocious Ne8. Because after Nxb3 exf6 Nxa1 fxg7 Kxg7 Qxa1 I think black is doing okay with a Rook and a pawn against white's 2 knights. I think black also gains central control since white has lost both of it's center pawns. Just a perspective.

    Wrong info. This was not how the actual game continued. Reshevsky played 11...dxe6 and the game went on. Please do not post something without doing your homework. Do not misguide the enthusiastic audience.

    • @hirakmitra6515
      @hirakmitra6515 Před 3 lety

      What wrong info? At 2:48 he did show d×e6,and after that the queen takes queen. He never said that the game went onto by K×e6,he just pointed out the winning combination for white after K×e6. Nothing to be confused about,and in the actual game after d×e6,black's queen is gone,so there's no point showing that. Its obvious Fisher would win.

    • @kuurocle
      @kuurocle Před 3 lety

      @@hirakmitra6515 What do you think his statement at 3:28 meant? "That my friends is a brilliant checkmate by Fischer, beating a World class player in just 10 moves". Misguiding the audience is not a good thing to do. Fischer is a legend but he DID NOT win this game in 10 moves.
