Seeing a very lightly modified (Suspension Wise) Mustang keep up with a GT4 and pass quite a few other high end Porches makes me feel funny in all the right ways haha. Great video Scott! Keep the great content coming guys! Watching y'alls videos is making it harder to not just go out and get a 2016 - 17 PP that I really don't need right now as I'm not in the country much. Damn y'all! armyed Not to detract from mustangs or him...gotta remember that skill levels of these drivers are all over the charts. No doubt stangs can be fast on the track though

@@armyed A major part of a cars performance is the overall platform. The S550 is a well-built platform and just has so much potential from adding more upgrades.

Awesome! I really enjoy the video. You guys should do more track day videos. I would do a suspension upgrade and a brake kit update for better shorter times at Sebring or any road course. Also a 6 point cage just for a little insurance and better control. I love you guys. Keep up the good work.

I'm loving the track videos, especially since there's loads of mustang drag racing content already. Keep in mind the PP gt mustangs with the 6 piston brakes use a different master cylinder, so an upgrade there may not have ideal brake feel. If your current brakes don't fade I don't see a reason to upgrade, unless you improve the grip of the front tires.

Get 3:73 gears Scott you will enjoy them trust me. The only thing that sucks is the break-in period but it is well worth it with your setup.

I don't usually finish your videos but I did this time. Awesome video!!
A suggestion for you and that track next time. When you get to that corner that you seem ot light up the tires. one entire turn earlier, get on the brakes harder and do NOT downshift. Get on the gas 2-3 car lengths earlier (essentially lugging it but carrying more corner speed than previously.) and it will stay hooked up.

Awesome work on the video Scott!!!! I was there the day before with my friends Porsche. I was going to take my black PP mustang, but there were a couple things I needed to do before taking it....... like tires! I'm so bringing my car next time!!!! Yea those guys from PCA were very friendly and professional. I really liked their program they put on. It's a safe and well managed event! I'll definitely go through them again! Thanks again for the video!!!! I have a full Steeda suspension minus the spherical rear bearings. I got everything else and can't wait to test it! Tires make a huge difference too. In one of your prep videos I think you put the PZeros on. I just put the Michelin super sports on and let me say it's a major up grade!!!! Thanks again Scott, great video!!

Awesome track day Scott kept up pretty good and drove solid!! I highly recommend getting some NT05Rs they hook and grip great I have some on my 04 GT you would be very pleased with them!👍
Agreed - either going with a NT01 or R888 for the next track set. The car will be pushing close to 2:30.00's with that setup

Good job out there Scott. Michelin Pilot Super Sports are a great tire. Suspension upgrades will definitely help take some of the cornering pressure off of the tires. I look forward to the next video.

My biggest regret was not getting the Recaros after my first track day with my FBO 2016 GT PP. My left leg got sore from holding my body from staying glued to the drivers door under hard cornering LOL

Awesome video! Yea, it's nice to see an almost stock suspension/non-PP car attack a road course. You proved what I suspected that the stock 4-piston brakes are plenty of brake. They're essentially the same as the 4-piston Brembos from the S197 cars. My S550 has those brakes; only just picked up my 17' in January but I had upgraded my 13' to the GT500 4-piston Brembos with a decent pad and they stopped on a dime.
Anyways, awesome job once again! Really looking forward to where you go next with your S550 as far as suspension mods go. These cars have great motors, but have lots of room to improve upon the suspension.

Nice! Looks like the weight made it unstable in the turns. Boost would have kept the GT4 off your trail. Maybe buy another S550 with a rebuild title, strip the interior, mod it out for track days. Wait that's my dream!!! Loved the video vicariously.

I noticed you had P zeros on there. The Pirelli's are decent but with Pilot Sports or Cups tires you would not have those issues.
Nice. Some sway bars to go along with the Sportlines should help out a little more plus some sticky tires and you'll be haulin ass around the twisty tracks. Good job on the videos as usual guys, keep them coming.
