It's actually really simple - Modrić makes every team, every player on the team, better. It's especially noticeable with the younger players, the calm his mere presence for 20-40 minutes per game brings is irreplaceable.

No. And I'm sorry I comitted a crime by having the opinion ro put Modric third. What i will say that ihis combination of physical condition and consistent performance level at 37 is unlike anyone I've ever seen Moreover because the level of a midfielder usually drops at 34, 35 at the most. You won't believe what I'll say now but I love seeing Modric play and have massive respect for him.
