One of the best openings I’ve seen in a video game. It’s so scary how they use this song in a dark time when it is suppose to give people hope. It’s creepy when they use it to just destroy that hope that “no one is coming to save you.”
Probably the most immersive, tense and moving prologue that I've ever played in a game. The music fit the scene perfectly. Gives me goosebumps hearing this track!
I loved the prologue of this game. Then how you wake up in Dutchs bunker after all of that and the game teaches you the mechanics and how YOU want to play. Once you have taken over Dutchs island you look at the mini map and see three people you have to eliminate in each region to work you're way up to the father. They did a really good job on Far Cry 5 and it is my first favorite favorite Ubisoft game next to Assassins creed 3 and Black Flag.
One of the best openings? You serious? Don't you think it was such a stupid idea for 4 people to go to capture such a big criminal, with a huge army of his own and every goddamn weapon imaginable? Were they really hoping they'd just handcuff Joseph Seed and get out of there without a scratch? Don't get me wrong, I love the far cry series and have played all of them, but this is the weakest story of all titles.

You are not here by accident or by chance” is by far my favourite Joseph Seed quote because it just shows how deluded he is but also how smart he is at manipulating others. Overall I loved Farcry 5 and the helicopter crash really drew me in to this game, especially since the reason you crashed is because one of the Peggies threw himself into the helicopter rotor; that just shows the raw insanity and devotion of this cult
Joseph isn't really deluded and didn't have to manipulate others because they did what no one else did. They listened and understood what was coming. Society was crumbling outside Hope County with tensions going in the Governments leading up the nukes getting launched. If anyone chose to listen to the news radio, you can hear the devastation of everything just falling apart. To be honest, The Sheriff and Deputies arrival made things worse. Only the Helicopter Crash convinced The Seeds that time was running out.

That is exactly how I feel! I was never into religious stuff (like Christianity), but the game did give off aspects because you enjoy the game, and because you enjoy the game, you kind of emerge in with the aspects. Same with me. I just took the aspects because I enjoyed the game and yeah. Basically I'm totally different in many ways after playing this damn, amazing game.

One year ago today, I heard this reinterpretation for the first time. There's just something about this track... The first 30 seconds sound like it will be one of the happiest songs you'll ever hear, the instrumental has been completely reimagined, and it sounds like synthwave/trance in a way. Notice the smooth male choir at 0:55. It really is something else. Just hearing the intro of the song calms me instantly. Joyful.

I think one of the most amazing things about this piece is the way its orchestrated - between the words of the well-known hymn, to this particular orchestration - sounds so triumphant, hopeful, and joyful - with just the right amount of sadness in it to suggest there was darkness and yet you're coming out into the light. Then you realize....during the crash scene....that all that triumph and hope is for Joseph and his followers as they are having their moment. All the intent and meaning in this orchestration is for the antagonist, while you watch in horror as the song tries to subtly invite you in. Such a unique thing. Usually, the music would try to pull you down directly, but this manages to do so by lifting up the opposition. I don't think I've ever experienced that before. Quite brilliant.
I finished the game and I feel so unbelievably empty. I know there are still things to complete but it won’t be the same without the Seed family. Honestly this game was amazing; very well-done and should win GOTY. Fortnite should not win it. Far Cry 5 should.

pov: you're me back in 2018 and your hyped for farcry 5, you get the game, put the disc in your ps4, you start playing and finish the game.
