Made a few errors in the commentary regarding the timestamps, but the screen should be the correct one!
Hope you guys enjoy :)
I like the battling in pokemon legends arceis
Your sacrifice will not go unnoticed
At least you got the good starter
Happy birthday axl!
Happy late birthday since you did the voice recording on your birthday
Antlerboy is a Kricketune confirmed. That "imitation" was way too good. Pokemon are real, folks. This Kricketune just confirmed it without the shadow of a doubt. Uploading videos and pretending to be a human. I was always wondering how he could imitate accents this well and now it's apparent he imitated human speech the entire time. I am truly shocked, Miss Alola.
Dududududubelooooooooop
Oh damn, there are more of them.
@MJ Plays
Nah, mate. Can't you see the Kricketunes want to take over the world? We should all prepare. After all even Miss Alola is in actuality a Kricketune.
@MJ Plays
Don't forget the Adamant Infernape for maximum Flare Blitz coolness.
But that is kricketune's voice..? '-'
So with also having a lot of hours in the game I think I understand the battle system. The important parts are Speed, Movechoice and Stylechoice. Priority itself is not directly a thing, but moves that had higher priority or a chance to flinch increase the movement Speed of the user untill their next action. That is why Gliscore could attack twice even without agile style. So basically the lead Pokémon should either be really fast, to attack first, or really tanky, to survive the hit.
I do like this, because there are three things you have to pay attention too every time you pick a move. Buff Skills are also really usefull in this game.
The new turn system is based on speed so Pokémon like snorlax pretty much always get hit twice
Honestly I feel like it's evened out by the fact most of the bulkier Pokemon are the slow ones, also by the fact you can use the grit stuff to max out stats
@@randomhooman2448 also rapid style
@@vik.o1598 you mean agile style?
@@THGMR-ox7sd ye
My only flaws with this game feel like nitpicks. Like the water is bad and reflections are AWFUL, but everything else seems fine, if not great.
I prefer this battle system too, because it doesn’t go easy on you. Is it cheap sometimes? Yes. But YOU CAN ALSO USE THAT SYSTEM TO YOUR ADVANTAGE. In the Gliscor fight specifically, you can use those same strats. But a ton of people seem to forget how the system works. It’s very odd.
But I don’t mean any hate, I’m just giving my opinion. I still love the video 😊
I think it's something that would be more fun if if I knew how it worked at the time. I loved the game and I hope that came through. Easily would spend 100h to fully complete the dex!
@@antlerboylive yeah, like the movement and catching get 5 tutorials, but fighting gets one, if a pop up screen counts
@@antlerboylive different moves take more or less action speed, swords dance -2 (boost only attack) calm mind -3 (boost def and attack) but you can sneak in another turn with swords dance agile style -1 action speed then use stronge style heavy move right after with the boost. The move system is way more abusable especially agile style thunderwave making catching pokemon so much easier by lowering higher level pokemon than you's action speed getting you an extra turn nearly everytime.
@@knowvoid9958 yeah. I absolutely abused everything with hisuian Zoroark. Stab shadow sneak in agile style. You get like 3 moves in a row. It took a little to figure out but the turn system is completely based off of speed.
Surprisingly, the Avalugg fight was the only one I had trouble with. I died like 3 times.
1:10 you killed that impression 👏
I definitely agree that letting the opponent get a free move when they switch in a new Pokemon is kind of annoying since they will immediately switch in with a super effective move.
but at the same time, because the enemy would actually get the opportunity to take out my Pokemon, it made battles much closer and more balanced.
Put it this way, your own pokemon is tired from moving, gasp actual fatigue in my pokemon game, I thought they were tireless robots war machines!
@@knowvoid9958 they definitely gave the Pokemon way more personality in this game
I recently heard a theory that says Volo was testing your strength in your first two fights with him and that's why he was so easy to beat in them.
The battle system in this game is amazing. I hope they keep it in future games
I disagree but you do you
oh boy this might be the first legends arceus playthrough that I watched and honestly it was quite fun I'd say. Thank you for the amazing content once again.
(p.s also not a fan of how they butchered my boy sneasel with that new evolution rest in pieces weavile)
Weavile still exists. so does regular Sneasel.
I got one from a distortion.
@@Muunio ohhh I did not know that I thought it got removed
@@Muunio That was one of the last pokemon I saw/caught bc of how niche it was lmao
That could also be bc I just wasn't paying attention though

Ant:nobody love you lopunny
Purplecliffe:are you sure about that?
"Pokemon games are too easy!"
Pokemon game: *is hard*
"Waaah this is unfair!"
-w-'
Oh yeah! I've been waiting for this video for quite some time 💪😎
More content from the G.O.A.T love these Antlerboy videos and commentary
I really hope you enjoyed the game, great content (no surprises there) and cool starter choice :] Also, happy birthday!
That Kricketune impression was on point lol
Most of the design in this game not only of pokemon werent that good
Its like they did it in a Rush
But still its pretty good cause its unique
Happy you finally did a video on jt
We always enjoy your videos. There is nothing to dislike here. Keep it up
Btw antlerboy the reason Gliscor and other mons can go twice in this game is either because of strong style and priority moves, the priority moves give you one more turn to attack, love the content, keep it up
If you favor naturally higher speed pokemon you experience a lot less of this turn order bullying and instead more often than not you get them. The speed game is pretty important now. Being too much slower than another pokemon opens you up to being beaten by the turn economy.
It’s a bizarre new part of fights but actually very cool and not impossible to adapt to.
Yeah I agree the battle system is one of my least favorite parts of the game. Which is a shame since I enjoy online battles. And also that EXP only works once the match is over, which kinda sucks since it’s more likely than one or two Pokémon will go down. Other than that, great game and I love your commentary as always!
Also, the Manaphy quest is referenced is BDSP at the Canalave Library!
my issue with the battles are the fact that everything seems to have like 10000 power and being 1 shot without even getting a chance to do anything happened way too often even if not very effective takes like 3/4 of my max hp
I love the way you imitated the Kricketune. Lmao
The feeling of relaxing from hardcore nuzlockes must be awesome.
Considering I spent multiple hours looking for an alpha Zoura, I felt it when you found one for free in the story.
THE U IN ZORUA SHOULD BE AFTER THE R!
I Love The Icelands too, Considering It's Where I Caught My Shiny Gardevoir, Shiny Riolu And Shiny Aipom x3
but in general I do love that area ^^
Antlerboy : nobody likes lopunny
Purplicliffe : nobody messes with chad
Belated Happy Birthday man! You are just awesome.
What a great video thank you for showing us antler
did you forget that gyarados is a water and FLYING type 💀
Ive noticed in my almost month of playing the game that with the volo fight is that you essentially start off with a fairy pokemon and then he will alternately send in the rest of his pokemon based on the one you currently have out.
i feel like the next challenge you can do next is, hardcore nuzlocke with the worst pokemon and/ or pokemon u hate.
Happy birthday Antler! 🥳🥳
This man is truly dedicated to Pokemon and his viewers.
Dang, Arceus just JCE. God is motivated
Happy birthday Antler boy ☺️
I highly agree for Oshawott to be the best, mostly because its very good for story mode AND post game against Giratina, because Aura Sphere is its least powerful move, which means Samurott will be able to tank one while serving great damage on the table, maybe not defeat Giratina, but at least weakening it.
i choose for cyndaquil
I just realized something, Antlerboy is the very first Ms. Unova in recorded history since Ingo had a picture of Ms. Unova in his coat pocket. I would say he would remember, but......... yeah....... time travel side effects
Honestly I think this game has been my favorite Pokémon game to date. The battle system needs a few tweaks when it comes to fast pokemon needing a nerf. Also to me, I felt once you got the hang of the battle system the game was so easy. I swept Volos team and giratina with a hisuian Zoroark with shadow sneak, shadow ball, nasty plot, and flamethrower.
🔥Zamn your content is spicy
Happy Birthday Antler Boy
Electrode was the hardest just because The moment I recovered from an Attack id immediately get Killed by the explosive Balls
Broke: I played (pokemon game) for 50 hours
Woke: I beat, slammed, brutalized, completed the pokedex, became rich and played (pokemon game) for 50 hours.
I'm really enjoying your videos. I wanted to suggest a Nuzlocke. Pokemon emerald but with encounters randomized and trainer Pokemon randomized. also if you used the Universal Pokemon Game Randomizer. it has a option to increase trainers Pokemon lvl by up to +50%. This made the game a lot more interesting and fun to play again, maybe you will like it too. looking forward to your next Nuzlocke.
Electrode iced me like 5 times, that was the hardest one for sure
Stealth encounter the way to go
Try doing a hardcore nuzlocke in legends Arceus cuz I wanna see it and I never seen people do it
As far as the battle system is concerned, faster speed ups action speed. With enough speed you can move twice. Some moves raise your action speed automatically, the most noticeable being the priority moves like Quick Attack and Aqua Jet. Agile Style also raises action speed so you can get many turns where you can move twice before the opponent can get even a single attack off. However some moves also lower action speed as well as Strong Styling moves.
Wait happy birthday AntlerMAN
0:15 FINALLY SOMEONE WHO PICKED THAT LITTLE CUTE BOY
Happy belated birthday Axl! 🎉
Spiritomb could've just been hidden in a cave or something but no Game Freak just had to make you collect 107 wisps
Finally Oshawott getting some love 😍 I love Oshawott because Unova was my first set of games.
I already have caught 231,I'm so close to catching Arecus!
Yes! Finally! Some at least KINDA addressed the flute in this game.
I swept the whole volo fight with just ursaluna. He is too strong
The fact that his profile picture’s hair style in this game is crazy
Happy birthday antler I think cause I saw ur community POst
Nuzlocks are gonna be insane
Your birthday passed? Happy belated birthday!!! And Empoleon is superlative
I had some torturous spawn luck with the Space-Time Distortions right now. I'm missing Shieldon's Dex Entry.
Hapy Birthday Antler
"Piplup is the best form 1 starter of all time".
Cyndaquil: You have chosen.... poorly
Those boss battles u need to be an old player of Dark souls using the technique of THE ROLY ~~POLY~~~~~
I think the nuzlocke of this game will be fair, but difficult in all honesty.
1:10 Ahh the legendary cry
The hardest boss so far has been working there for me since I haven't finished with two other bosses
Legends Arceus hardcore nuzlocke only punching.
Favourite hisui Pokemon, form or evos (except wyrdeer ofc)
in that case of course Zorua!
@@antlerboylive are you planning on shiny hunting Pokemon in this game?
Cause I could tell you, shiny hisui zorua is the best
Alot of people are saying that the battle system is unfair, i somewhat agree but from what iv learned it comes down to speed, when i was finishing the magikarp battle quest i realized i could go first by making my speed higher than the pokemon i was battling, so just a tip make your pokemon fast by using grit stuff, (you can get grit stuff from realeseing pkmn its a really good money Strat early game as well as grit rocks sell for 3k and its 1per alpha included with the exp candys/seed of mastery it makes you alot)
Personally, I like the battle system but I can see why people wouldn't. I just like the tactical complexity with it, with agile and strong styles along with moves that have higher priority like quick attack or moves that lower action speed like bulldoze rewarding the player for comboing with them. Set up moves like calm mind may be incredibly broken because of that, but nonetheless I enjoyed having another layer of complexity to the game. Also, you can't pivot due to the turn system being one at a time which makes the AI actually stand a chance in this game. It's also nice how speed affects it. I like how when fighting a certain final boss (won't spoil it here for people who haven't watched to the end) the pokemon gets to go like 2 times usually bc it just makes sense in that context.
Great video though, cool to see a compressed playthrough experience! Also I feel your pain with the Stantler evolution, they made us work for some of these new pokemon huh... If I had to pick one of the nobles that was the most difficult for me, it was probably Electrode. Just the electric flying ball that followed me to the ends of the earth made that fight much harder than it would have been otherwise.
Happy birthday anterboy
Antler turned into kermit with braviary
11:32 really then belated happy birthday
LETS GOOOOO ANOTHER VID BUT IM KINDA LATE< BTW U SHOULD DO A WEDLOCKE OR A SOUL LINK NUZLOCKE
Stop typing in all caps!
@@Amelia4111 u the real definiton of a nerd emoji, bet u work as a roblox barista lmaooo
Loved this vid kind a made me jealous not being bale to play it
happy birthday antler
Happy belated broseph
Do you have to complete everything on every dex entry or just get each one to Research Level 10?
just catch them all! I want to complete the dex 100% at some point!
My favorite noble fight was Avalugg, the hardest was either Arcanine or Electrode
The new battle mechanics are based off the speed stat
Antlerboy obviously does Honest Trailers
This video gave me luck, I found a shiny magic Karp while doing a lucid mass outbreak 😎
For the battle system in this game you wanna use fast bulky pokemon like crobat and umbreon also setup moves and snarl are broken af in this
i like how you say all alone and then shinks os just come
When you gotta actually catch em all:
Super funny video
at least you can see the RPG elements they implemented
18:09 Tip is to hide and throw Feather balls at it, that is how I caught it
My dude, your content is so great I even got the lady into watching it with me and she doesn't even plays pokemon
The Avalugg fight kept glitching when I threw out my Pokémon. It was frustrating.
Ha my switch crash’s as soon as I try to play or try to catch a Pokémon and I’m stuck at where you catch the staters so probs gonna find a used switch soon to see if that helps
Trying to spawn Cherubi is killing me.
I think the new battle system brings a Challege to the battles in Pokémon.
Happy birthday!
The reason you didn't find that alpha zorua is because there wasn't a chance for it to become one until after beating the noble avalugg. only the specifically placed alpha's can spawn until you clear that area's noble
Rowlet Gang RISE UP!!!
Oshawott can go in the trash
Shush andrew this is antlerboys show 🤫
btw love your videos
I found Arcanine the hardest I don't even know how many tries it took but I definitely died over 30 times
I haven't finished the game yet but Arcanine was the must difficult so far.
