The huben is nice indeed BTW verry important You cant shoot it below 150 bar which the manual describes Believe me I learned the hard way it locked up on me and had to be repaired😅

I noticed the lever for the rotary mag was in the unlock position. Which caused the gun to discharge air due to jamming. This was an issue I saw happen in another GK1 CZcams video made about a year ago.
Furthermore, generally, when opening screw type valves. The turn direction is always counterclockwise ( turn towards the left). Just like opening a faucet or loosening a screw.

I love that you show the raw unadorned experience. That shows us all the real on these tools. Watching it in process proves, no doubt, no doubt, how effective this gun is. And thanks for doing the standard, meaningful testbthat for some reason, so many don't do any longer (I guess ballistic gel is sexier somehow).
Iv8888 had some excellent points in his old video, and millions of views worth of clout to prove it was valid! I tried to really stick to his raw approach and transfer it to filming this pistol.

@macabespeed all huben needs is a big bore hunter and they would dominate the market for sure .from what I've seen of the k1 the accuracy the power and long range capabilities ...this pistol seems to be jst the same.....
@@macabespeed I would have to second that vote. I bought mine, in .25 caliber, and have had no regrets. This thing is a beast, no doubt about it.
Finally a GK1 video!You should make one on what would be the optimal setting for defense without too mucb of a drop in power by the end of the mag.I'm thinking that instead of 80 plus fpe it should be tuned down to like 70 or even like 60 FPE for a more consistent shot string
Mine was tuned to 60 ish and I’m happy!
That's also what I'm looking for in this pistol. Optimal tune for max power over a full magazine on both a 300 and a 350 bar fill.
With this gun I feel like you can have one or the other not both. If you want good lethality you are gonna drop FPS every shot quickly. I have mine set to shoot high power for 17 shots and I think that is the max number of truly lethal shots you can get out of this. If you wanna get the 80 FPE they claim you are only gonna get like 4 or 5 shots and FPS will drop like a rock. AEA is coming out with a 7,000 PSI tank and I think that is the type of tank you would need to have high round lethality. A tank with more pressure or more capacity would make a huge difference but 5k already makes me nervous and who has a 7k psi compressor? Def an interesting time to be air gunning.
I see that AEA silver shining in the hard case. Getting acclimated to the weather in the background.😂😂😂

I live in the north Bay Area and have a .30 cal Blitz and just picked up the AEA .51 cal bullpup which is nowhere near backyard friendly and was wondering where you go on BML land near by to shoot
Looks like the same style rotor magazine as the sk-19. 😮 hmmm… Nice 100 yard test. All it takes is one hit to confirm. That pistol is a bad ass unit. Looking forward to seeing a 30 cal someday. Probably my new favorite pistol. Great video Mac.

I have the SK-19 [granted mine has a 22 capacity cylinder] and I have the GK1
The very 1st thing I did was compare them - since I planned on converting my pistol into a mini-carbine..
Anyways.. *Close but no cigar..
Same concept / design style though.

Thats what i noticed too with my .25 gk1. The first shot hits dead center and the other shots are way lower on the target. Is that the price you pay for unregulated pressure in the gun?

Mac I had the same thing happen, it leaked out all the air after I dry fired it. The trigger won't reset and it won't go on safety. I can't refill it the air comes right out of the barrel. Were you able to just fill it again?
Totally refilled and went back to standard functionality!

Seems like if i shoot my shots it twos, the fps stays almost the same between 1 and 2. Better overall ES over 2-3 mags.

I found out that the heavy slugs are perfect for what you are doing however if you get the rifle series heavy hollows you will be very happy.. there's a smaller pellet that has a lot of zip for your dollar too very hard to get though

Make some sabots like you did with he s45 and defender. A 22cal 45grain slug in a 25cal sabots going to do like 150+fps more speed than a 45grain 25cal solid slug. Youve seen this truth in all these other airgun models brotherman. It took the defender from 65 to 125ftlb thats crazy dude. Love the huben gk1 even without sabots because its doing 22lr out of a rifle barrel levels of power but dude with the sabots you could be chucking it into the 110+ftlb range, no hollowpoint will stay unflowered at those speeds and power.
Hey bro you should check out this older gun the modoc 9mm. It uses cartridges like the defender but the cartridges are only 3000psi not 5000psi and half the volume of the defenders. Its like a open block single shot rifle 30inch but its doing like 1200fps with a 85grain 357slug. It was a pretty darn corn gun a concept. I always woundered why aea never came out with a defender carbine or something because if its got double the volume in those cartridges at almost double the pressure you would think the defender would be able to get the same performance or better than the modoc out of a shorter barrel like 15 to 22inch. Imagine how cool that would be. They beinf aea had a whole line of pistols from a revolver to 1911 semi auto mag fed to bolt action rifle to semi auto that ran on the air cartridges but covid hit and the website went down ajd it was never talked about. It was really sad there was one pistol prototype 50cal 1911 body semi auto 6shot magazine 200ftlb. What could of been i tell yah

Adjusting the regulator violates the standard rule of "Right to Tighty, Left to Loosey" as it relates to the general rule of nuts and bolts. We have to remember that. But how can a pine board shot actually prove the effectiveness of "what it takes to ethically unalive a organic being" to achieve the single kill shot to promote instant termination. Anything short should and could be considered less than ethical.

I’ve been watching a lot of videos about the K1 and GK1. And am totally sold by its awesome accuracy and power. I particularly want the K1 bullpup. But it’s price point is way out of my reach! I’m gonna have to sell a few PCP rifles + my .30 cal Blitz in order to get the K1.
Trivia: Did you know the GK1 was born off of a PCP gun collector who converted the bullpup into a pistol?

@@fastrack59my K1 bullpup was very inaccurate. I sold mine cause my groups were all over the place even with recommended JSB pellets instead of slugs. Tried all kinds of ammo including 253 and 254 sizes. Tried in the 850 to 1000 fps range. Loved the looks though and it never failed on me once. But so inaccurate 😢 I'd love to own the pistol for close range though. Doesn't need to be very accurate either, as long as it's powerful.

That is for the regulated version, the regular stock Huben GK1s are about 1600 still. I wouldn't even want mine regulated. For what I use my GK1 for I want max power every shot and fastest follow up shots possible. If I was plinking with it all the time I would get the regulated version.
I've just looked on huben site the unregulated one is low stock and 2200 pounds now. I'm uk. We pay a lot more

30 fpe in 22 caliber is more than enough for 1/2" pine board. Even for 1/2" plywood would do

100 yds with a pistol is not an easy task. Good job. My gen1 Gauntlet in 25 will punch through 1” pine @ 100 yards and it only makes about 46 fpe (25.39).
That pistol is dead nuts lethal.

Every9ne make good reviews on this guns but I feel anything smaller than .30 call will not protect you only from squirls is my opinion

The opposite is true, .30 (and larger) often have problems penetrating hard targets making lung shots the only viable option, that’s why .25 is the golden caliber for airguns (for large and small game), it provides penetration on hard targets and has good expansion when hitting soft targets.

AVS makes the best slugs I think. 253/254.. flat base 48 grain hollows fit in it. They have light up to heavy in cup dish flat hollow… and the JSB heavy’s are perfect for it. Good target shooting or if u had to. There 34 grains going 900fps so.. love this air gun
From what I hear, you must never dry fire these because on the next shot you may lose your air

@@macabespeedIm pretty sure you just had a regular jam. It automatically dumps all the air when that happens (perhaps to avoid pressure buildup behind the jammed projectile). I guess it dislodged the next time you shot it, but normally you would have have to fish that pellet out of there. It happened to me twice so far. The gun is amazing, but it's a bit stingy when it comes to ammo choice. You really gotta find a pellet/slug that seats well without falling through the mag, but is also not seated TOO tight.
The manual says nothing about dry firing. It's hammerless, so it should not be a problem.
