There's something about the era of video games between 1985 and 2001 that makes it really special. It feels like, back then, games weren't just about graphics or processing power, but rather were more about building an experience that the player found fun. Those years felt like playing video games was exploring this new world of entertainment, and each innovation truly felt groundbreaking.
I hope that today's era of gaming feels as magical to the current generation.

You're not wrong. Back in the PSX/PS2 era, consoles could generate decent looking graphics but the standard wasn't astronomically high. This meant that not only was more development energy put into the core game experience but also more experimental, lower budget games could stand toe to toe with the big AAA releases graphically. This is why there are so many highly unique games from this era (Katamari Damacy, Planet DOB, etc).
Nowadays, the market is all about making games as graphically demanding as possible to advertise and increase sales of GPUs. This means that games both take longer and are much more expensive to produce at a standard that is impressive.
I don't think it is. Games back then were about fun, and sometimes that was simple, but that was OK. People look down on that today, but that's where it is at and what matters still. Yet all we got now is mostly walking simulators and movie games. It isn't about the most important thing of all: Good simple fun
i really dont think anyone is going to have any nostalgia or attraction to the hell of microtransactions and releasing unfinished games for full price just to lock the rest of the game behind paid DLC.
As a child I was in love with the girl on the cover... This immpression brings back some old memories. This game was just awesome
the nostalgia never ends brother. You can indeed still find that girl in real life, for years I was crushing on Aya Brea (Parasite eve) and then I came across a girl that reminded me of her from head to toe and kicked it off so naturally as life should have been, it just took a while, and I kept the thought in mind, and it happened.

Do you know who uploaded it? Their name? I'll search on Tunecore tomorrow. I can get in contact with some of BNSI & SuperSweep members. It's not right for someone to profit on this especially because this is from an actual album under SuperSweep. Reminds me of this person "Dark Orka" who got a copyright on Vectorman and Vectorman 2 music, profiting off Jon Holland's masterpiece and SEGA did nothing about it.
