that is a tough call to make you have only about 2 or 3 tenths of a second between the time the defender gets there and the shooter goes airborne. I think he gets there right before the shooter goes airborne, and is therefore a charge, by rule. However, Lead official is still moving across the paint when the shooter makes contact with the defender, and old C is already backing out to become Trail before Lead completes rotation. Old C/new trail needs to stay engaged and not back out, and have the primary whistle.

Duke always gets biased calls in their favor. I am never sure why they get the same treatment as a favored NBA team like the Lakers

@@carolinewall3678 : Whether it was a "bad" call or not is a matter of opinion. Questionable and "bad" calls happen all the time in college hoops. It doesn't excuse Coach B's mindless tantrum, that hurt his team's chances. Look, I am a Cuse grad and fan for like 30+ years, and a big fan of Coach B. None the less, there is never an excuse for Coach B, or any other coach, to put their own need to go into extreme vent mode, over the welfare of the team and game. We all understand that we can be ticked off by what we perceive to be a wrong call sometimes, but you have to show some measure of self-control there. Making excuses for his bad behavior there makes totally no sense at all. He f*cked up. Period. Saying the T's don't happen without the "bad" call, is like saying John Doe wouldn't have robbed the bank, if the bank teller hadn't left the safe door unlocked. Wrong is wrong. Nobody forced John Doe to rob the bank, just like nobody forced Coach B throw an over-the-top tantrum that helped cost the team the game.

It could've been a block because Hood quick shuffled to the right after Fair already committed to going up, which is what Boeheim explains. I don't fault the ref for missing the subtlety of that, but always thought Fair turned his body at the end there just enough to avoid the charge call.

Love Coach B, and I know that coaches get emotional all the time, but yeah, a coach has gotta have more self-control in that situation. You aren't going to change the call by getting out there on the court and yelling at the refs. All you are likely to do is get a Tech Foul and put your team in a worse situation. Coaches yell at their players for making mental errors by getting into shoving matching with the other team. A coach getting a silly Tech Foul is just as bad if not worse.
