why do kenya sports reporters take these times and compare them to the world standards. i wish kenya journalists could give us kenyan times compared them to world records, best times of the year, championship times run in diamond leagues or major events around the world and compare the times to what these athletes are running. This would put things in perspective and give us a better picture on their running.
For example, kamwamore run the best record in Kenyas history in the 10,000m. But the journalists failed to mention that Kam run 0.900 seconds less than the world record holder cheptagai. Meaning they would have been shoulder to shoulder had KAm and cheptegai run in the same race to the end. It would have been a spectacular race. What Kenya media needs are sports journalists who follow these details across the world and have them give us these details. what we have now are reporters reporting and not people specialized in sports journalism

In future the media should have upclose shooting of athletes when they are running. basically like you can really touch them on screen as you are watching. the cameras are too far from the athletes , they need to be upclose shots. I think one needs a roving camera suspended over the field to capture upclose shots like they have in developed countries where you can literally see the athletes every move.
Great race , however we need to run a 3:10 time to have a chance at the gold medal
Moraa is good at that race
She will not gain much from 400m i suggest she train more on 800m at least she can secure herself to the podium in the olympics .

Why does Kenya do so poorly in the 4 by 400 relays. What are the times run in this race compared to global times. Kenyans are among the best in long distance races but do poorly in these relays. You would expect at least for every 4 by 400 relay Kenya to at least bag a medal in every olympic which has only been done may be once. What if we had our best athletes in the 800m, 1500m, 3000m , and 5000m running these races as a team. Surely something is wrong on why we are so poor in these 4 by 400 races.
