+HappyStrat24 well you play just as good half asleep as awake! What else do you have lined up? I agree with another comment on here, I reckon you'd pull off a ZZ Top tune really well with the tone you get out of the Les Paul.
+Guitar Rookie Billy Gibbons has one of the best guitar sounds ever, at least to my ears. The more I think about it, the more I want to do some ZZ Top :-) Anyway, right now I want and hopefully will do Kite by U2 (absolutely amazing song with rather simple, but very nice and original guitar part) and acoustic Angie by The Rolling Stones - wanting to record both since the last year :-) Then I will see. I have been thinking about Comfortably Numb for a long long time now, I would also like to re-record One by U2 with proper effects... time will tell :-)

+RollingBilbao Thank you Javier! Yeah, this one was not easy for me, but it is always nice to take a song that seems to bee too difficult and then to find out that I am able to put it together somehow, even though there is always a lot to be improved.
Oh boy this one is great! It's one of the hardest licks to play (I can't play it without tripping up!). The solos are spot on! I love the sound you picked. The fills are spot on!
Thanks a lot! Yea, this one is rather complicated, or at least for me. It turned out quite well, eventhough I struggled with the rhythm during the fastest parts of the solo. Funny what you write about the main lick - I actually don't find it that complicated, I can play that just fine, but I forgot those solos and fills shortly after I recorded the song - I would have to play it regulary to remember it - I always forget the long solos after a while if I don't play them. The exception so far is Comfortably Numb, I can still play that one, even though I don't play it often, but I really love it, so it got stuck somehow deeper. What I really like from Sweet Child are those clean arpeggios around D and G chords in the verses - very simple, but really nice and melodic. Anyway - what about you - any new 24 hour challenge comming?
Great cover man :) Can you tell me how is going your BOSS SD-1 ? Is it good for things like Slash/Guns n roses ? I play on Egnater Tweaker 112 and its very dark and mody and i want to get that slash tone :/
Thanks a lot! About the BOSS SD-1 - I really like it, but it is very much about the combination of the effect and the amp. I have the VOX AC15 and it really likes the SD1, they work very well together. As for Slash, I think he gets the overdrive pretty much out of his Marshall amps with a help of a boost pedal. @@DeadmanRides Well, I have listed the gear that I used. As for other settings, the only thing is the right ammount of overdrive of the amp. You have to just fool around with it for a while :-) Good luck!
