It's way too easy for games to be buried on the E-shop. There's currently 900+ games *on sale* on the e-shop. Not *for* sale, *on* sale. That's more than the entirety of the SNES library. We're spoiled for choice, and it can honestly be overwhelming at times.
It's like the Netflix Effect, man. So many choices that you don't even know where to start and it becomes overwhelming.
It doesnt help that more than half of those games are probably shovelware

The switch definitely has my favorite library right now. So many classics and hidden gems, and the ability to play anywhere? The switch is awesome!

Another game I'd add is Crossing Souls.
It gives me so much nostalgia for the 80s. Not just as a game, but in tone and the music. It's like being in a group of friends like the gang from the Goonies while solving a sci-fi mystery. It has a somewhat classic Zelda gameplay to it as well. Top down, action focused, etc.
the hidden gem that i think more people need to try out is monster sanctuary, it might be my favorite game i played that came out last year

same. the keen discernment needed to mark true hidden gems plus the inhumane amount of hours required to experience both these and also big titles is insane, how does he do it!!

Love that you have CrossCode on this list! I was hoping it would be higher, but I definitely can't deny how great Bug Fables is. Overall, great list.
I found a new copy of Cross Code at a local game shop, but I completely forgot all about Bug Fable on LRG, so I’ll hope Best Buy/local retro game store will get copies.
I recently ordered from LRG, Haven CE.
You hit so many games that I tell my friends about then they say "oh that's neat" and then brush them off. Bug Fable and the now-famous Spiritfarer. Man. Subbed for this genuine list of awesome games.
I love watching videos about Switch games and I like to think I've discovered my fair share of hidden gems from them, so I was very pleasantly surprised when this video put some new games on my radar. Have just added Operencia and Bug Fables to my ever-growing wishlist.

Monster Sanctuary is one of the best lesser known gems on the switch. Try that out if you haven't already. It's basically a sidescroller mixed with pokemon.
Love the list! There were a lot I hadn’t heard of before and need to check out! And I agree about Bug Fables-it is a gem!

CrossCode is a must play for me. I recommend it to everyone. I also loved Monster Sanctuary and Iconoclast.
It's good, but I played during early access so I kind of got tired of it before the full release. Some of it's mechanics were a bit cumbersome for the type of game it's meant to be. Perhaps they worked the kinks out but it lost its lusted for me.
I keep coming back to Sakuna which surprises me. I think Ill pick it up

Crosscode is incredible, the soundtrack, gameplay, concept is just great. Highly recommend.
They've got a lot of games that quickly became one of their favorites.
A few other good gems: Blue Fire from this year and Hue, a great little puzzle platformer
Awesome list as I've got most of these. Jenny LeClue, Hotshot Racing, AI: The Somnium Files (literally just bought a couple of days ago), Haven, Iconoclasts, Cyber-Shadow, Spiritfarer and Sakuna of Rice and Ruin. I've been meaning to pick up The Last Campfire, Moon Remix RPG Adventure and CrossCode. I'll have to check out New Super Lucky's Tale and especially Operencia as that looks interesting.

yes!! i played the somnium files a while ago but never saw anyone talking about it!! 10/10 would recommend its such a great game!!
Agreed! But one should wait for a sale, because imo it's not worth the full price. It ain't perfect but it certainly is very fun, hilariously dumb and so memorable! Definitely a hidden gem.
I saw Sakuna and immediately liked and subscribed, that game is incredible
Hotshot Racing is definitely one of the best racing games on the Switch. I love the art style and the gameplay is fantastic. Good selection of tracks and cars too.
is moon remix on the eshop? can't seem to find it. also, great video! most hidden gems videos have the same old games but this one introduced me to some a lot of stuff i had never heard of and definitely made my wish list bigger.
It should be. I just checked to make sure it wasn't removed, and it goes by Moon on the eshop, not Moon Remix. I guess its not called Moon Remix on the eshop.

Part of Iconoclasts reminds me of the Mighty Switch Force series; probably just that the protagonist is holding a gun in a 2D environment with a particular stance. Nice list.
Moon Remix RPG Adventure reminds me of that Demetri Martin joke “Super Busy Hospital 2” Where you have to take care of all the people who were killed in the other games
This channel is probably one of the few Switch channels that aren't pretentious as hell in their reviews. Definitely earned my subscription alongside Beatemups.
9th Dawn III is a good blend of rpg and Collectable card game.

Omg I’m so happy to see bug fables at #1. I love how dorky and serious the paper mario games were and it does both too
sakuna looks fantastic.
just got a switch a few days ago. wanted it to play mario golf, kart, tenis, 3d with the family. and ultimate alliance 3, daemon x machina fro myself.
maybe it has more to offer than i first thought.
Dude I loooved Virtue's Last Reward.
It was games like that which made the PS Vita totally worth it! ^^

I really wish Journey to the Savage Planet didn't lean so hard into "comedy", as that aspect really annoyed the hell out of me after a while, but I guess if the jokes land for you it really is worth a shot. Grest list aside from that, I have most of these already, but I'll add the rest to my wishlist!

More people really need to experience inmost it’s the most emotional and dark game I have ever played with a brilliantly designed story layered between three intertwining characters

Thanks for the feedback. Do you feel that there is enough individuality to seperate the games from one another? I assumed they would be a little to similar to get both but you're not the first person to tell me that so maybe I will.
Journey to the savage planet looks amazing. I think you just sold that game to me. I'm very surprised I haven't heard anyone talk about that game.
I'm playing it on pc. It's great fun. Your AI companion is just the right mix of peppy, companionable or also judging and sarcastic.
All data you collect about the world has fun little comments and hints on the life forms of the planet.
And the advertisements in your ship that get unlocked as you play are mostly hilarious.
The expansion is also fun if a little short.

Journey to the Savage Planet is extremely good! I played it on Game Pass and had a blast with it.

Your definitely going to want to check out Sword of the Necromancer! It was a Kickstarter game by JanduSoft and its absolutely amazing. It will give you Rogue-like meets old school Legend of Zelda with a dash of necromancy. B.E.A.U.TI.FUL!!!

Cyber shadow is a great place to start if you're a fan of challenging games and cyber games and lastly ninja games like the messenger or ninja gaiden
CrossCode is not like SAO. It’s like West world. Definitely a great game

TT Isle of Man 2 is by far the best racing game on Switch (note: it leans more sim than arcade), yet I never hear anyone talk about it.

personally i love jenny leclue ^^ only thing i dislike is that there is zero way to lose in it or fail, which is fine for a kid's game, but without any chance of losing it loses half the charm and its value you know? Still fun game for people looking for a charming kids game ^^

Sakuna is one of my favourite games of all time tbh. Easily in my top 5.
Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin is the most Beautiful game of 2020, personally I feel that, somehow, it's a spiritual successor of Okami

Super chariot and sigi: a fart for melusina are two games though are both very simple are extremely entertaining, easy to pick up and fun to play. Both were super cheap. Sigi feels like if your little brother wanted to play ghosts and goblins and not suck at it lol. 👌🏻

Love Destropolis! It's good for a quick play or even a long sit-down session. So simple but gorgeous minimalistic graphics and tight control/gameplay

Ys Viii Lacrimosa of Dana is a hidden gem on the Switch. It is better for entertainment than Mario Odyssey and Xenoblade Chronicles 2.

Please answer me, because in my country it is difficult to find these games physically ... thanks...
For any game you want to digitally buy i would check the Nintendo Eshop which you can from a web browser. Typically they will be available digitally but your country may be different than mine so its best to make sure
Sakuna is almost 3 years old and still 30 dollars on steam. Must be a good game. Hotshot racing is a great game.

The amount of games on this console is staggering. Must be close to 8,000 games on this thing and about 4,000 physical copies of games. God help the collector trying to get a full set on this system.
